I'm not the only one who does this?! Oooh, been meaning to post here and offer up my girl, Cassandra Solidor. She is something of a vagabond, never truly settling down after her flight from Garlemald. Nowadays, she makes a living as a well reputed mercenary, but typically ends up found in whatever local dive the town she visits happens to have. Woman has knack for the bottle so to speak. In terms of meeting. Perhaps it could be through work-- or even forced into a job together. Despite her aloof nature, Cassie isn't nearly as prone to her loneliness as she might like others to believe. If nothing else, I think her and Rihxo could bounce off each other nicely. ^^ On a separate note, being a Garlean on the run, Cass and Adelaide might back for some good plotting. Cass is incredibly wary of anyone from there due to, well, a death sentence if her whereabouts were ever discovered. Don't yet have my wiki sorted out, but if you want to plot further, please feel free to reach out here or in-game.

Cassandra: Mouthed off to daddy, lost an eye for it and now pretends she's too badass for Eorzea; discovers the vagabond life doesn't pay all that well along the way. Still too badass to ask for help though.

Recently, a reddit user by the name of Lucky Banchos pooled a census of the overall active playerbase. These numbers exclude RMT, though any leveled alts would be accounted for given his criteria (certain mounts/minions people have based on the Lodstone). A translation can be found here, but for a quick overview: - FFXIV presently has 771,103 active players by rough estimation. - Only 198,577 have completed the MSQ through to 3.1. - Balmung is the most popular server at 27,535. - Only 0.7% of overall players have cleared Alexander Savage in its entirety. - Of that 0.7%, JP makes up the overwhelming majority at roughly 78%. Not sure where he found that data, but it's interesting nevertheless. Anywho, thought I would share this for those curious.

Doubtful. They want to populate existing servers rather than encourage people to migrate away. It's much more cost efficient to spread numbers around. And while I think they should consider server merges, it's horrible PR. The unfortunate fact is RP doesn't matter to Square. They look at Balmung not as a RP hud, but just another large server. There isn't a reason to expand it anymore than expanding Gilgamesh because it's the unofficial raid server these days. That, and I'm too much a cynic to deny they're not complaining over the transfer fees we all pay to get our RP fixes. >.>

People have flipped before. Thing is, SE doesn't appear to particularly care. Can't say I entirely agree given the additions coming in 3.3 onward. I think it's more they continuously underestimate the greed of people (selling houses for absurdly high mark ups) and didn't truly appreciate the overwhelming popularity of the "slice of life" genre for western audiences. Granted, I'm speaking more for the FFXIV dev team than SE itself, I suppose.

I tend to agree. A lot of people flipped houses via their alts. If they made it so a house purchase was account wide, provided they were on the same server (all your alts could access it), this wouldn't have even been an issue. Honestly, Yoshi's team is far too trusting of people.

According to the official forums and I believe reddit, that initial screeny in the OP was doctored. GMs usually don't have their title in their name, as far as I know. That said, we're still getting a lot of confusion, but I can't see them actually banning anyone. People have sold houses in PF since it became a thing. Did Square just not notice until now?

Welcome aboard! Judging by the spear in your pick, I assume you're aiming to level dragoon. In that case, I can offer you this guide. While you don't have to worry about rotations at low levels, I found it much easier to have a general idea as as I was leveling. That said, if you need any help or just feel like RPing, don't hesitate to toss me a message, in-game or otherwise. Happy gaming/RPing ^^

I have a family gathering to be bored over, but otherwise am just going to game and sleep most of the day. Never have been overly festive. I wouldn't mind the family stuff so much if it wasn't ridiculously crowded because my aunt insists on having it in a house the size of a closet.

Character design is a bit subjective. The creator is extremely robust, allowing you to create everything from a reasonably proportionate character to something of nightmares. Hell, you can even create a child/teen character. Basically, the let you do whatever. I, personally, liked the in-game visuals when I played the beta. Combat is essentially Tera. If you're unfamiliar with that, then think of the FFVII Remake trial. They do away with the holy trinity format in favour of real time reaction: blocks, parries and etc. Unfortunately, the actual story and lore is somewhat benign. You're the cliche student whose hometown gets razed and you seek revenge on those who committed the act. I'd say spoilers, however this happens within the first five minutes. From that point forward process is slow. I stopped paying attention because the side quests are your usual run of the mile "fetch me my dress by killing some carbs" (seriously). Granted, I only played to level ten, and heard it picks up soon thereafter. Overall, I say give it a shot on gameplay alone. I don't know enough to say whether the story is worth any investment, but as a free to play. You're not losing anything except time.

Speed I am forever anxious my writing speed will not be fast enough, or that I won't be able to match my partner if they write a lengthily paragraph. Coming off forum RP, rapid-fire is not something I am overly accustom to unless it's short "im" style RPs. I'm also not the most astute when it comes to grammar. I'll occasionally leave out a word or something. And due to how the chat works, it's hard to go back and proof-read. So I'm left hoping I didn't make any errors. Approaching people for RP is also not something that comes easy. I always feel I might be inconveniencing someone, or won't necessarily have a specific plot at the ready to offer. What ends up happening is I either don't ask at all or put off actually setting one up.

The person recruited has to pay for a subscription before they receive any items. The recruiter gets them immediately. I just tested it myself a few hours ago and got the five feathers when I logged on. ^^

Honestly, they woefully missed the mark on this grind. The most efficient method to grind is spamming Alexander Normal 620 times. This means old content is only really being populated briefly during step two. In a lot of cases, people will just use premades and run ARR dungeons unsynced. What they could have do instead if put the items in a roulette, but made it so multiple dungeons/trials awarded the same amount. That would actually get people to repopulate old content and make up the monotony of Alexander spamming.
