I had a lot more fun than I thought I would have. Gave me a good chance to flex my RP muscles on Cyrinius. I met so many people I can't remember everyone's name I wish I could have stuck around and spoke with the rest of you more as there were some interesting people in Group 1 that I wanted to talk to, but maybe I'll run to everyone at a later date

Have a peek around the linkshell tab. I am not sure what you are interested in so I can't recommended any of the great RP companies I have come across. Also I just hit 40ish as well! I do actually run a drama/theater club Tier We meet every Sunday 1pm EST at the Gridanian theater for any one interested, and we also have a separate Linkshell. So far we've only doing improv acting skits and games, but would love to expand on this! A dinner murder mystery has been discussed, as has acting out scenes from other Final Fantasy games. Any interested send tell to Claire Fialo in game, or show up to the event Sunday! Say wha?!? No wonder I never heard of this. I am rarely online that early and I almost never RP in Gridania . I'll make an effort to try to catch you all there ^^. I have a character who would love to not only watch, but also participate.

That is more interesting ^^. Sadly I do not have any characters that I think I could contribute to such a project. There are lots of events on Balmung. You have the two times a week (i think going down to once a week now) tournaments held by The Grindstone that usually churn out 30+ people. Someone just started having a wine house that is open on Wednesdays at Wineport. There was that giant event (waaaay too huge) held at the float, and another event Winter Speed Meeting that is being thrown together soon.

While I applaud you for your creativity, I think you are playing with a bomb here. Making up your own lore with no in game lore to back it up always turns out bad. It's about as bad as someone trying to explain IC about how their Elezen is a Sith Lord .

I really love this idea. I actually play a poet from Garlamald who absolutely loves to dance. He is still loyal to the Empire so you might not want him as a dance instructor and is only in Eorzea on "official business". Though he does delight in getting to know the common rabble citizens of Eorzea and doesn't let anyone know he is Garlean (for obvious reasons). If you can't find anyone else I would be interested in trying this out! While not a lady, he is a Miqo'te. I think Aysun (hopefully I remembered your name correctly) is a female Miqo'te who is a dancer if you want to try giving her a poke.

My 1.0 character (currently my alt) is a priest. I would love to get more spiritual RP going. I had him take a small pilgrimage to the Nald and Thal shrines to Thanalan. Would be fun to adventure with people and visit all the stones in Eorzea ^^.

Yeah, I saw a fight at the Bismark one day with two pirates and a group of people. One of the pirates was a Lalafell (the other a Hyur) and used his small height to run between his buddies legs while the Hyur was fighting a man, and punch the guy in the junk. It was such a dirty move >.> These two guys were some bad ass pirates. They are described as being the most agile of the races. I have had very little interaction with Lalafells IC. But Denn treats all races that are not Roegadyn as lessers anyways, so it wouldn't matter.

Don't think you should be drinking anything near Garlean's anymore. Not after what happened last time :3

Ummm, I don't think Dennthota and myself are much alike. We share the same sarcastic attitude, love for drink (her's is borderline alcoholic though), and outgoing personality. But that pretty much sums it up. With Cyrinius, him and I only share our love for art, music, and poetry. I used to write a lot back in the day (got called by a publisher once and had one of my poems added to a collection of poems type book). I think I always add a bit of personality in a little of all my characters as it makes it easier for me to get into character, but keep it different enough so that I can actually get into the mind of someone else. I personally like RPing because it gives me the opportunity to "put myself in someone else's shoes" and further helps me understand people and why they do the things they do. Science :geek:

I love how you are able to pose the dancers so elegantly. Sounds like the move was hectic. If you start taking commissions again let me know ^^.

Bahahahahaha <3. I need to include her unique scent more often in RP situations. With how often it rains in freaking Eorzea she probably gets most of her baths just standing outside .

I am unsure how unique Dennthota really is. I think she is the most masculine woman character I have ever come up with. Complete with belching, fighting, body hair and rarely bathing :3. She is also a huge flirt, but doesn't know the first thing about relationships because of her egotistical and crude behavior being a natural barrier to anyone who would think about coming close to her. I personally enjoy watching her claim how great and strong she is only to constantly get knocked on her butt

1. Has a fear of drowning and getting water on her face. 2. Can be used to pull the emergency brake lever on the semi-truck when she comes barreling down on someone. 1. Always drinks heavily before a fight. 2. Drink spiking would be really easy as she tends to gulp these things down. Can't think of anything else that might leak out about her as she doesnt talk much about her past. If I do I'll update this ^^.

This is what I've run into repeatedly. People who can take a fire spell to the face and be fine, because you can do so in game. A few times I've been told I'm rping my character as 'weak' (even though they were supposed to be strong) because I've rp'd them taking damage from significant blows thrown their way, and taking them out of the fight early. I've also run into a lot of 'cure heals everything' and even a removal of the consequence of death, because hey... lore allows for it. (As in respawning at your home point) At which point I pretty much just gave up on combat rp altogether. That was the fantastical combat I was referring to. It's not my taste preference, but it seems to be the majority of what I run into. Yeah, I have run into some people like this as well. I play a really tough woman who is able to take hits and keep on trucking, but that doesn't mean she does not get injured or is invincible. As a matter of fact, she is constantly getting thrashed, injured, and her ass kicked because I don't play her like some super hero. Leave the Dragon Balls at home people I think its okay to play your character as someone who is strong or whatever, but they aren't superman or T-1000. Healing magic helps speed up the process of healing, but its not a fix all. "Oh, my arm got ripped off. I'll just put it where it should belong and then cast magic, and ta-daa, arm is better!" Also in regards to the whole home point thing, they said not everyone is able to do this as often (and some are not able to do this at all) as others. Not to mention traversing through the lifestream is extremely taxing on the person. I just think people need to realize that their character is not the most bad ass of the bad asses no matter how cool they are written as. RPing in an MMO setting means its not entirely about your character as you have to interact with 10's if not 100's of others and they also have their own story to tell. I personally prefer to just RP the combat out instead of rolling because I feel like it gives me the opportunity to showcase her strengths and weaknesses. Plus she likes to drink heavily before fighting to loosen up her body and numb her to pain a bit more so its fun having her stumble around and fall off balance, lol. All and all, I have really enjoyed RP combat on FFXIV so far as I have ran into very few god-modders.

That is horrible. Denn actually has a character from her past with the same name and I really hoped she would fit the role enough to where I could rewrite the ladies history to fit yours, but sadly it cannot ; ;. She is suppose to have been married before, but lost her husband to the Calamity. There is a child involved as well, but that is up in the air. Anyway...Would she be willing to hide people who may be Garleans, but not open about it who they really are?

Well you must first also realize that Garlemald took over Ala Mhigo 20 years ago. And 5 years prior to that it was under the rule of Theodorac the King of Ruin who basically massacred a lot of his people. From what I have seen with The Echo is that the person cannot control it. I admit that I have not finished the storyline though and am only at Garuda. I would RP it as asking the person permission to see something about their past and then them filling you in (as opposed to maybe trying to hunt down their profile on the RPC or something). I mean you would solve any problems with other RPers by simply asking them permission ^^.

I am going to chime in for Saturdays as well. Both days work for me, but I feel like with the weekend there might be a higher turn out seeing as they start kind of late for the east coast. That way there is a less chance that people will have to retire early due to work/school/etc. in the morning.

Because we can switch jobs I think you should take it however you want. If you want her to train as a MRD, go for it, if not, then ignore it. I craft a lot..and I mean a lot, but that does not mean that IC Denn knows a lot about weaving or alchemy. Same with me currently leveling scholar.
