Heya . Welcome! I think there is an EU based FC named Europa that might be the closest thing to your time zone, and no. There are no racial stats here. Do not even worry about the birthday thing because they took away elemental attacks so ice doesn't really hit you with ice..just with hp damage ; ;.

I think the most nervous part was finding a group that would be accepting of my flaws and willing to show me the ropes as I had only known very little about it. Even though I kept making little new RP mistakes, haha. I still make them now, but luckily I found an easy going FC that is willing to overlook them. I'm also chalked full of ideas if you ever need some help coming up with character stuff

Right now the FC I am in "Night Blades" is involved in a Garlean plot if you are into RP combat and all that fun stuff.

Nope! That is what I was talking about. I thought it was just rooms. Tyvm for clarifying this so at least there is a possibility for their own house. Well looking at these prices I highly doubt they will have to worry about server space because no one will be using any of the space dedicated to player housing

*cough* there will not be personal homes anymore from what I understand. They will allow people to buy their own personal room in their FC house (probably just a common instance area in the FC house that leads to that persons room. I guess it will be sort of like the way the inn's are set up)...At least that is the last thing I read about personal houses.

Is that a FC? Yes, the Garlean LS is basically run by three of us in the Night Blades free company. Although it doesn't consist of just Night Blade members. A lot of us have alts that are in the Legion, but there are also full-time Garleans in the shell as well from other Companies. Really you can contact either myself or ArmachiA for stuff as I don't think our third is really active on the RPC.

I am not telling you what you can or can't do, but this is the way that I see it. I think its bad taste to try to basically be "The One" or "The Hero". The person who saves the entire world from destruction. I'm not saying that they do this alone. I mean take Neo from the Matrix. There is no way he could have done that by himself. He had the help of many others, but it really all came down to him and his power in the long run. For one person to participate in all the fights, taking down Primals, killing Legatus', stopping their mastermind plans, breaking into Bahamuts lair, acquiring super rare one of a kind weapons, etc., is basically saying that even though there were other people there who "helped" it was really them who did it all. Basically I am trying to say what Ashren was saying...this is a collective story being told and no one character should shine soooo much brighter than anyone else's.

This actually sounds like a nice mix up from the day to day of getting chased by soldiers, bandits, and crazy lunatics! Edit: If anything, aren't the Free Companies kind of like an extended arm of the military? I am sure it still works out either way.

I have considered making a Nunh character and just going around and challenging all the other Nunh's and stealing their ladies so that he could have an army of cat ladies at his command to send out and crush his enemies!! :evil:

While I am definitely not coming to the defense of SE for this decision because I also think that they took it a bit too far and I am frankly upset and disappointed myself (Who the hell on Balmung is sitting on a pile of 315mil gil or more?!); I think the problem here is that we were all expecting to be able to buy a large house. A lot of these FC's have 10-15 active members, sometimes a bit more or less. The FC I am currently in has about 40 active people and if we pool all of our gil together we could scrape up the 25mil for a small house (but I don't think everyone is willing to go broke to rent an apartment). The large homes sound they are reserved for the very large free companies with 100+ members in it. While a few months down the road we might be able to buy the medium sized house for our slightly medium sized FC. I seriously don't see our FC getting a large house until maybe the first or second expansion at this rate...and that is factoring in the price drops along with members becoming inactive in the future and such. I suppose I can never RP out the set of my Eorzean reality show "Who wants to date a hairy Roegadyn?" :cry:

While the game doesn't throw a faction at you. Like say letting people become Garleans in the game and raid the Grand Companies, that doesn't keep people from playing them. I have met thieves, bandits, pirates, highwaymen/women, Garleans, and just straight up lunatics. If anything, there needs to be more characters that are built around causing conflict (I am personally heading up a Garlean LS and I love that we have a decent amount of people, but only three of us are full-time Garleans, but luckily there are other people out there like causing full-time as well). I know this is a FF game where people are used to being the hero of the story, but every good hero needs an antagonist :3.

I used to work right across from this arcade when I was 17 and they had a Fist of the North Star punching game where there were 6 punchy things (those soft padded mat glove things) that could pop up at random times and you had to punch them. At the end of every boss they would all pop up and you had to do the "Atatatatatata" attack lol; was lots of fun. In regards to book fighting...When I was leveling scholar on Denn I found an iron book around level 30 that was literally the size of a Lalafell torso...So in theory...you could probably have an actual book fight. Edit: I found it!!!!!

Yeah, back when I used to pay for a friends FFXI account (and he sometimes paid for mine when I was low on money) we would go to the store and buy pre-paid cards and give them the number on it.

How does someone who is new to RP have 400+ posts??? Do you make 10 to 20 posts a day? You have almost as many posts as Olofantur! Bahaha. Its called no life . Well..more like an avoidance of life . Plus I talk/type a lot >.> I just started RPing when GW2 came out last year. Only RP'd about 3 months there before I quit, and have been RPing in FFXIV since release. So I have only about 7 months under my belt.
