*Ahem* So I kept hearing about all this ERP stuff and I knew someone previously for awhile who kept telling me how much she enjoyed it and kept trying to sell me on the idea. I won't lie and say that I have not been interested in the idea because I will pretty much try almost anything at least once. So one day I was bored, it was really late, and I was in a conversation with someone (not the friend I spoke about earlier) and it started taking a "romantic" turn. I normally just fade to black in these situations, but I thought I would try a little bit out as a training exercise. I slipped and put something in say, and my heart literally dropped to the floor. I ran out of the building that we were in to see if anyone was in /say range...there was one person, but I think he/she was afk...Or at least I hope they were. The whole time I kept thinking to myself, "I am sooooo going to get banned". I learned my lesson now and never again will I try that out, lol. I cant even remember what was said as the trauma has caused it to be erased from my memory.

They do allow you to create one character per server (Unless you pay extra or are Legacy) :3. You can always come try it out and I can poke you on here to send you updates about plots and such since I won't be able to catch you on your main. Fox, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. I am already getting things together to hunt down all these deserters. I will be on most of today so hopefully I will be able to catch you ^^.

Fox, I shall sniff you out because this seems like an interesting premise. We could go a few different routes, maybe try to bring him back into the fold or hunt him down for his betrayal! I would love to discuss this further with you. Kaoru, same goes for you! Though it sounds like he has very little interest in returning so it would be more like a man hunt. Bring him back to the Empire alive, type of deal. I am really flexible though so it is completely up to you how you would like to handle this. Personally, I like a good man-hunt..maybe a little black mail, who knows! Come join the Legion or get hunted like a frightened rabbit!

I normally always play vibrant characters as I feel like IRL I have a pretty..uh..vibrant personality so its easier to RP a role like that for myself. I think people tend to gravitate towards those kinds of characters because they seem more exciting. The same goes for the two types of personalities IRL. The more expressive person who is laughing loudly and making people take shots is usually more popular the person who tries to talk to someone about the medical benefits of tumeric. Honestly I feel like its pretty hard to get plots started with anyone unless they are already friends. People are really flakey. Heck, I have had over four things planned with various people before launch and two after launch and all of them fell through. I am also guilty of this as I told an LS I wanted to do a plot with them, but I never ended up setting it up for various reasons, the main being fear that they would think the event would not be fun enough and I would have wasted their time . I did finally get a storyline started and I am currently getting into another storyline with another group. I would not mind helping you with a few plots as I am pretty flexible with my characters and can easily come up with excuses. I can't guarantee that I'll be available though as my availability is slowly declining due to school and work and I am making more RP friends ^^ (which is not a bad thing). Just message me in game and I am sure we can work something out !

*casts raise* I really dislike starting new threads so I thought I would just revive my old one since it is relevant to what I would like to speak about. I want to start a new character (likely a Miqo'te since I can't seem to get the look right with an Elezen or Hyur). I am looking to go with an effeminate male who is obsessed with beauty; think Zhang He from Dynasty Warriors. He will be a villain, as I think this would be a better fit for him, and I would like him to have a sister who would also be slightly off her rocker as well. It would be fun preforming villiany as a family :3! Down the road I would like him to become obsessed with The Void and also end up worshiping Cloud of Darkness, given that she/it will appear in lore and not just as a dungeon boss. I am currently considering him getting involved in a plot with one of the LS' I have been speaking to, so we could start with the collective manically laughter right away . Even though he will be a villain, I dont want to log on him just to do villain stuff, but I also want him to have his own story, background, friends, rivals, etc. To explore that type of character and experience his trials and tribulations with him. If this sounds like something you would like to get involved in then just send me a message and we can see if we can work something out ^^.

I suppose I can chime in here for you. I am currently with the Night Blades. We have a roster of 50+, with a good chunk who RP. Usually always have 15+ people online as the time zones are spread out a bit. I think most reside in EST and MST. We currently just started our FC plot along with our allied shell (Garlean plot). The FC is located in the linkshell tab if you want to check us out. To make it short, the FC is basically a group of people who are willing to do anything to protect Eorzea from all forces. If we had to toss a bag of puppies in a volcano, then so be it :3. There is a wide range of RP characters, ranging from scientists to drunken bar brawling ruffians. We are currently allied with The Grim Echo who I also recommend checking out as they have a good chunk of members as well and are never shy when it comes to RP. They pretty much follow the same FC premise as we do. Our FC chat is OOC, but we have a separate IC LS for the FC and a IC LS with our allies. Lol!! What is so funny is that I actually have a villain who I named after one of the bad guys in Ronin Warriors, the Warlord of Deception himself :3. He is currently a Garlean and is working as an antagonist for a few people/LS', but I would be willing to see if I could fit him into this plot line or possibly try to create a new character. Though I would prefer to keep my alts as close to two as possible (which I currently have). Shoot me a message here or in the game and we can see if this will work out ^^. I really do love playing the villain :3

This is interesting as Denn has been recruiting people to train and she is up to four students currently. She secretly wants to start her own army school to represent her unique style of fighting that includes drinking heavily and throwing yourself at your opponent until they fall down ! I have actually thought about having her start to explore the art of drunken boxing if she ever gets her head out of her ass long enough to try to take a more disciplined approach to fighting. She'll pretty much take anyone as a pupil as her current students consist of a healer, a tailor, and a guard. Groveling may be required though :lol: While she prefers hand-to-hand combat, she does have a moderate level of experience with a sword and axe and is a novice with a bow (having really only used them for hunting). Her fighting style seems erratic, but there is some tactics to the mayhem. Edit: Speaking of this. Yes...that whole Gilgamesh debate was very....interesting. I agree with Faye and everything she has said, and yes, the RP community is very small. The plus side is that it is easy to get name recognition as long as you don't clique up too often and RP outside of your normal circle. The down side is missing out on meeting new characters, getting involved in plots, participating in events and so on, because they don't happen on your server. I am fairly happy with the size, but I would definitely love for it to get bigger. I usually have no problem getting RP and the community on Balmung has been very open to random RP ^^. Once you start recognizing names from the RPC and guild tags it makes random RP that much more easier to find. Heck, about 80% of my RP comes from outside of my FC and about 60% out of my LS'. And it doesn't really seem to slow down as people continue to get added to my friends list. There is so much RP I have not really had time to do anything in game >.> . If you go looking for it, you definitely will find it ^^. Debating this topic is like kicking a dead horse. I know the mods got some blow back in their decision to support two servers instead of the original one and I am pretty darn positive that they do not wish to re-enact that scenario. Mods have openly come out and declared that there will be no "official support" for a third server, but all servers are free to post. I have seen people ask for RP on Moogle, Leviathan, etc. There is even an "other" section for people who want to make a linkshell for whatever server. There is nothing wrong with posting or asking for RP on another server and it is not discouraged, but getting official support is an extremely long shot.

Welcome! I have a few characters on Balmung if you ever find yourself on that side of the spectrum. And you shouldnt have any trouble finding some Miqo'te . They literally pour of every corner.

I agree, I have made a few villain characters and have had a hard time finding them pals to do stuff with. A lone villain is not very good with plots unless he has a group. I was able to get my Garlean off the ground and now we are running like 9-10 members strong. I would like more thugs, bandits, highwaymen, cultists, etc. though I literally have almost a character to fit every niche if I can ever find willing people ; ;. But being a villain is no fun without a force to chase you down like white knights or law enforcement. If someone ever needs a criminal to chase down, just send me a message .

Dennthota Ahtahrmwyn is my main. She worked as a bodyguard for years before losing her client. I wouldn't mind picking this kind of work back up ^^. To add to this, I am also interested in an attempted assassination if someone would be interested. I can fill you in on the details in a private chat ^^.

To answer your question, maybe. While being on the front line is pretty much a death sentence with how horrible the battle was. I would say it might be possible to retreat, but only if he did so early on. I am reluctant to put a time on how long the battle lasted as there is nothing to really back it up and its safe to not go on what it shows in the cs. The only people he would be able to remember are the ones that retreated with you. I am actually unsure if lore even lets us remember the dead as I recall in a cutscene with the Grand Company members say that they cannot remember the fallen's names. I am not sure if this is just a cover up for the Warriors of Light or if we cannot even remember the ones who died before Bahamut arose. Any people that survived the fight were likely teleported away, thereby becoming the warriors of light and being erased from peoples memories. So while he could remember the battle and anyone who retreated with him, I would keep the details fuzzy about the others until someone can clarify if we are allowed to remember the fallen.
