  1. Oh right... I should have contacted you again earlier... Feel free to hit me up if you see me. Or i'll do the same, whatever works!
  2. Why not, feel free to reach me out! No guarantees that my character would answer positively of course, quite the contrary since she isn't often afraid to tell people to piss off.
  3. I may have a question, if of course someone has the time to look at it... Well, I know my css, xhtml, etc, and all, but I am having trouble with their nested tabs with that tabs extension. I seem to be able to insert nested toggleboxes in tabs through the parser function (kinda...? not sure). But i'm having no luck to insert tabs into tabs... I don't think I get the syntax or what I should exactly write with that parser function. It's weird and I don't know anything about that kind of code. For now I have been mostly trying things blindly but it doesn't seem to work sadly...?
  4. There is probably a bit of that, and also another bit that I think takes a pretty important place as well in the equation: Eve is a pvp game first and foremost. Even when being a highsec miner or pve-er you still have a risk to get ganked. Or screwed over the market, or by an player scam, theft, sabotaged, or just infiltrated and your corp suddenly turns into a dramabomb. In any case, being a pvp MMO changes everything radically. Tension between players will rise in a competitive environment. People will trashtalk each other, to the point of using it as a weapon in itself. It's not something especially proper to Eve at that point, but it comes with most pvp MMOs or large scale pvp games. Then yes, testosterone filled ideals and the cult of "drinking tears" is not proper to Eve either, but it certainly has been magnified in the game. Fucking up your neighbor and everyone else is the way to go by default. Eve has its own peculiar obnoxious mentality, and goon is probably no stranger to the game getting more and more obnoxious over the years. It was certainly different when I started playing in late 2006. Also, to their defense, I have to admit that outside of the game, except in a few dire cases and slippery slopes, players are usually super friendly/buddy to each other, weirdly enough. Like, what happens ingame, happens ingame.
  5. I played that game for 8 years, and it's a lot prettier and fascinating when watched from afar like a petri dish. From inside, it's a cesspool.
  6. I guess I can echo what has been already said a lot. You have to keep a RP network alive, keep contact with folks, and while i'm not scared to reach people out, I always fear that i'm coming at an inopportune moment, or being too invasive, intruding, or insisting...
  7. In the Week, i'm on in the EU evenings (20:00-24:00 GMT+1 so 18:00 - 22:00 GMT currently with DST), or pretty much all the day in the week end (maybe not in the middle of the night though). I'll try to catch you both ingame if I can!
  8. Sure. Especially the broken one... Since she is kinda broke, or at least, not rich. I don't mind if eventually she just ends up looking at them with envy. She is kinda good to fix improbable stuff though.
  9. ... Or just skypirates with access to manacutters. Anyway, hello! Since I have had no luck finding what I was looking for so far (or just outright missed opportunities as often!), my character is desperately looking for a ways to... well. Approach manacutters. Very simply, she saw one (with possible skyrates) and now she is all over the idea of seeing more of those, or even getting her own - the wild dream. So, i'm looking for airship engineers for that to happen, maybe? The end of the story is always open ended with me. Maybe she can get one? Maybe she will never get one and actually be outplayed or conned? Whatever happens in the end, she is super determined to get her hands on one. I'm really open to any idea or suggestions, hooks or whatever could fit with your character. The only thing I think important to add is that I generally consider stuff like manacutters a bit like a novelty in Eorzea (since well, they were invented only recently by Garlond), but we see them spreading and being used kinda like expensive toys/cars by skypirates (cf VA intro cutscenes in the Sea of Clouds). With that in mind, I would just rather avoid the slippery slope of "Want a manacutter? Sure, I build and sell them by boatloads!" So yeah, if that could be meaningful thing with counterparts, or IC hard work, anything... I'll be happy! To summarize a bit what kind of character i'm offering as connections, Suen is a little nerdy punk with a rebellious attitude and a craving for badass/cool/edgy/spooky things, especially any kind of fancy tech.
  10. I have had a MSQ run with a heal that was just the worst. Guy ran ahead of tanks because "lol it's MSQ chill mate", started pulling everything, stressing the tanks out, then of course since we both were WhM we are obviously the best DPS class for that so HolyHolyHoly, which means the tanks can't get the aggro back... I stopped healing him after 2 times he did it. And he kept doing it all along, dying half of the time. After a while asking him to stop and being answered "you salty mate? lol" everyone just let him do his thing and die every time... And eventually messing with Livia's mechanics and killing all the mortars...
  11. Ok, wonderful! It works neatly and I managed to get the most of what I could out of it on my wiki. Only thing you can't do apparently is to access the css style for the tab buttons themselves (but the font can accept the container styles though). Which is just a minor detail. Thanks again for the support!
  12. Gubal 2.0 sounds great... But yeah, I would do a huge magitek/manacutter/airship retrofitting hangar. Not sure with what kind of furniture, but whatever. http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080508125608/starwars/nl/images/6/6f/ME_Podrace_Hangar.jpg[/img] hrrr
  13. Wow that's neat. I'll try that as soon as I can!
  14. Chirurgeon? Old english if I recall correctly.
  15. Yeah no i'm not going to modify the whole wiki that way for the reason you added, and i'm not really looking into much. Just changing colors and borders and whatnot for those tabs... I stumbled on that though. But yeah, I don't want to bother with those things. I just wondered if there was another tab tool available, if not, it's totally fine, i'll do with that one!
  16. So, i'm trying to use the wiki template as a way to structure my wiki around tabs like many already do. It's super easy to use, works well enough, but... Is there a way I can change its style through CSS? I'm starting to feel it's hardcoded somewhere and not really accessible, but would there be alternatives...? I'm a bit out of ideas... If not, I guess it'll do like it is though. No big deal but it can clash with the whole page style, thus why i'm asking... I will have to keep my page looks accordingly if there is no solution, and if there is, then I can do it the other way around by adapting the tab styles to the whole page. Not sure if i'm being super clear...
  17. Ah ok it's all the little potential additions to the base stats.
  18. Thanks for the clarification! Mh, last question (I think), what is "base" on the char sheet, next to the damage column?
  19. I... guess i'm still struggling to use it efficiently for now... I mean, when I GM an event I am already literally crawling under RP emotes and actions taken by everyone and have to write consequences for each of them while still keeping a RP flow... It's like, 8 times what you have to write as a simple player. Now I struggle to even imagine how I could take the extra time to enter all those little vulnerability stacks and damage/AP numbers for everyone at each of their actions, especially when you have like 8 people actively RPing... Do you delegate a lot maybe?
  20. Nice job! I wondered something else, since I have yet to try it (and i'm currently planning to thus the question), but since people seem to say that it goes a lot quicker since there is no dice rolls... But all the calculations, don't they take time to process? I mean, between initiative rolls, AP, damage, vulnerability stacks, etc etc...? How do you keep the flow of things with those?
  21. The thing to me is also... who knows about it, except the highest authorities? I bet the rest is mostly left to rumours and legends-that-are-apparently-maybe-not-that-much-legends...
  22. FC/LS Name: Aeon Theme: Mercenary covenant Contacts: Brynnhilde Wulf, Aurou Mhirata, Leon Greymoon
  23. All I know is that different events or aetherial manifestations all hold their proper signature that can be measured with a certain precision through contraptions of various kinds. Following that reasoning, and considering how the Scions tracked Y'shtola for example following her own aether signature, I would assume that, yes, they do. The Void is by definition empty of Aether, so, no. That sounds rather specific... I am not sure to see anything that would point in that direction since the aether from the calamity mostly stems from Bahamut's aetherial influence... But who knows... I guess?
  24. Nothing tells us that all the conjury skills appearing ingame and available to us are actually the full comprehensive arsenal available to conjurers... I would even argue that since we don't have access to the whole elements anymore, it probably isn't. And yes, added to the fact that's just Gridanian conjury. Considering the extent of magical knowledge held by Sharlayan, I would expect to see them throwing a lot of their own twists into the art.
