Signing up officially for Event B! I'll be (very likely) bringing Seito Moonclaw along. -
Nope, things have been looking pretty much back to usual business for me and I tend to log in right around the start of prime time EST.

If there's space, I'd like to poke at someone for an invite on one of my alts!

SPIDERMAN! SoTC! YESSSSSS! -ahem- Those along with Beyond Good & Evil 2, God of War, and possibly Anthem (the 3rd person view wins me over a bit more than 1st person)...I think those were the games that actually got my attention a bit this year so far. I haven't played a Monster Hunter game in literally forever but this one did look pretty cool as well.

discussion How would you retire your character
Martiallais replied to Desu Nee's topic in RP Discussion
This is something I chew on every now and then for all of my characters. I haven't reached the point for any of them in Final Fantasy but in prior games (CoH and WoW especially) it did eventually happen. Kind of funny that both their endings are somewhat similar. Martiallais: 1) Heroic Sacrifice: This one is pretty spot on with the character. He's the knight that would turn around and hold the line so that everyone could escape safely. That or making some one man march ala: P7GeisRaias Complete with some really great, hopeful (and catchy!) tune, of course. I am an unashamed big kid and while it would be sad, again, it would be fitting. 2) Go Home and Be a Family Man: Mar and Ellie finally (FINALLY) manage to carve out some semblance of stability in their lives and spend the rest of their days raising a little elezen or two, running the Bellworks/House Dufresne surrounded by family and friends. Armand: 1) Vengeance/Revengeance: Vigilantes make a lot of enemies and maybe one catches up to him when his guard is down. Or perhaps a group of them decide to work together to put an end to him once and for all. It's even possible that some OTHER vigilante thinks he needs to be stopped for good (cause you know, those silly dark knight powers). Either way this is a bloody ending that probably involves some shades of a Knightfall-esque gauntlet of enemies (probably with Milloux at his side) with his other allies either arriving too late (RIP) or just in time to save him, but injuries force him into retirement. 2) Noble, Vigilante, Socialite, Philanthropist: With Armand also becoming an investor in the Ashen Clinic, it's entirely possible that he'll simply keep vigilante'ing while taking a more active role in the business. It would only be a slight shift in focus that would mean leaning more towards his socialite/noble nature but a lot of the clientele that the clinic sees could use something of an avenger (or gil-laden angel) to make certain they aren't just getting back into the same situation. Even then, I imagine he and Milloux would take time to travel regularly and see the world given that neither of them have really had a chance to explore too much of the world. -

- Grand Tournament: Closing Charity Ball - ————————————————————————– The streets of the Pillars are gowned in the raiments of a springtime that never quite reaches through the chill of Ishgard’s endless winter, conjuring memories of garden balls in greener seasons through its evening’s mimicry. Lampposts are crowned by wreaths of fragrant flowers, and the pennants strung between them hang as bursts of vibrant color against the predominant grey. On such a night of celebration as this, there are only stray petals that rain down from above, where once was the threat of dragonfire. Good people of Eorzea – our champions all: House Dufresne extends to you its invitation to attend a celebratory ball, that we might honour those men and women who performed so admirable before the Fury in Her Grand Tournament and to bring this year’s festivities to a close. The affair is to take place this 9th Sun of the Third Umbral Moon, in the Hoplon Plaza before the Vault and the Pillars of Ishgard. Attire is to be formal dress with the Coerthan climates in mind, and refreshments will once again be provided by our dear friends at the Shooting Star Bakery, whose talents in their craft are bound to please your palate. The proceeds of raffles throughout the evening, will, as ever, be put toward relief efforts throughout Eorzea in this time when her peoples are most in need, and our floor managers highly encourage all to participate in the dance. We sincerely hope that you join us on this evening of merriment. Until then, may you go blessed by the Fury! OOC Information: With the 2017 Grand Tournament of the Fury concluded, we will be closing out the events with a dress ball to celebrate our champions and volunteers, and for a taste of something outside of combat! The event will take place on Friday, June 9th at 7:00 pm EST, and run until 11:00 pm EST, in the Pillars of Ishgard, at the Hoplon before the Vault. We understand that Ishgard is locked behind the MSQ, but as we prepare for new adventures with the coming of Stormblood, we consider this a way to say our farewells to the journey of Heavensward – atop the the city where it first began. And what’s a ball without dancing? Music will be provided, and we hope to see you take to the floor hand-in-hand with a friend – or perhaps a new acquaintance! Details on the evening’s raffles are forthcoming, and proceeds will be going toward the Dufresne Bellworks <> Free Company. ICly, all gil will fuel our relief efforts throughout Eorzea; OOCly, it ensures we have suitable awards prepared for all of next year’s champions! Pray, put on your dancing shoes, and keep an eye on our page for further information!

Yeah, I can't say I'm super worried about what classes are or aren't the meta (I play PLD/DRK, sometimes DRG, and soon to be SAM), but the zones look great and I don't just mean the cities! Hopefully we'll be able to see more 'adventure RP' happening as well (obviously depending on MSQ shenanigans and whatnot). And man, SAM looks SO good. I am a little bummed that DRK might lose it's niche but I'm still going to play the hell out of it too.

Today marks the final event of this year’s Grand Tournament of the Fury, the much anticipated Tournament of the Lance! As always, we will be coordinating our competitors (and their riding partners of choice!) at Camp Dragonhead beginning at 7pm (est) for all last minute registration. From there, the festivities will begin officially at 7:15pm! Gratefully, the @ashen-clinic will once again be on-site to take care of all our healing needs. And tonight, we’ll have a very special performance from Perne Archevauliere ( @porcelain-and-blood ) just before our finals! So strap on those helmets, lock and load your lances, and get ready for the show! Don’t forget to bring your betting money and heralds today, and we’ll see you in the lanes!

After a few days of rest, the Grand Tournament of the Fury continues tonight! Day three will feature the wielders of mystic might classing in our Tournament of the Wand! We'll be setting up at Camp Dragonhead once again with a short on site signup window beginning at 7pm and everything will kick off at 7:15pm! In addition to tonight's bouts, we'll also be featuring a special performance from Sin'dell Shirazi before our finals! And we'll once again have the Ashen Clinic on hand to heal everything from sick burns to wind chills in case anyone happens to get rocked! We look forward to seeing you there!

Day Two of the Second Annual Grand Tournament of the Fury kicks off tonight at Camp Dragonhead! Tonight's event will be the hotly contested battle to determine this year's Tournament of the Blade champion! I hope everyone's sharpened their blades, polished their shields, and is ready to throw down! We'll see you at Camp Dragonhead tonight at 7pm (EST)!

Here we are folks! The first day of the Second Annual Grand Tournament of the Fury has arrived! And with it comes one final reveal… The Official Return of Heralds! While we didn’t have much of a format for them last year, I’m pleased to announce that we’re ready for them this time around! Heralds will be utilized in the FINAL ROUND of each event, so be sure to have your silver tongued bard of choice on hand to get the crowd on your side for the showdown of the eve! However, if you don’t have a Herald of your own, this year’s wonderful announcers – Brave Horizon and Xanadu Mol – will be more than glad to give you an impromptu introduction themselves! All we ask is that you have 3 interesting facts about your character on hand to provide our dynamic duo and they’ll take care of the rest. We do ask, however, that all heraldry be presented in 3 minutes or less. It’s an entrance theme, not a concert after all! So with that said… BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Pre-Registration has been incredibly helpful in our efforts organizing the Grand Tourney this year and we want to thank everyone who has done so! We’ve nearly 100 total competitors across the 4 events this year, so thank you all for the enthusiasm! SO to that end, we are going to allow a VERY BRIEF period of sign ups on the day of the event. We’re pushing the official start time to 7:15pm (EST) each day to allow FIFTEEN MINUTES for sign-ups at the door. It’s still advisable that all competitors arrive at Camp Dragonhead by 7:00pm (EST) but look for Martiallais Heuloix or any Dufresne Bellworks member wearing the green Looking for Party status symbol. They’ll be able to get you registered as long as you are present before 7:15pm when the action starts! And people say all Ishgardians are jerks - We’ll see you at the tourney!

Balmung Transfer Restriction Megathread

Is this where you give a dramatic nod like the WoL you love so much? Seriously though, I think the idea of a post on the main forum is at least some sort of action/step in the right direction/etc.
