As the others have already mentioned about the transfer lock you can try your luck on another server to find what you are looking for. If for whatever reason the lock is only temporary and it is removed soon I still wanted to jump in and answer your questions as well as I think Balmung is still the top destination for RP. If you are seeking ERP or more mature RP topics you would definitely be able to find those via ERP FC's or even just the quicksand which seems to be a hotspot for that. I think most new FC ideas are viable you just have to put the work in to make them successful. There is a pretty consistent churn of FC's that are up and coming as well as declining. It depends on the company how multi faceted they want to be as well, some are specialists but many are generalists too. Just depends what you are looking for.

Welcome to the RPC and Balmung! When I joined Balmung I read through all the information I could and kind of jumped right in with a smaller group to start building up RP experience. I think you can definitely check out some RP events and see how things are done if you wanted to watch, but I learn mostly by doing. If you are interested in doing a one on one without any pressure I would be glad to meet up with you as well or I can put you in touch with someone else as well. We have one or two ex-garleans in our discord who I could put you in contact as well since they tend to have something instantly in common with each other as well. No no no, I liked the old version better when it was just miqo'te Anyways, Welcome to Balmung and the RPC Bibiju! The RP community on Balmung is second to none and it does take a little bit of work to get into it, but once you do it really is a great place. Looks like you have some good character concepts in place and the next step would be to start RPing them and fleshing them out a bit more. You can also create a wiki page with what you have or throw up a making connections post. You are welcome to come check out our linkshell/discord if you are interested in meeting with some other solid RP'ers and we can make sure you get started with some meet ups.

We have a pretty good blend of slice of life/plot RP that happens there as well as some talented RPers who can really help you develop your character and put you in some unique situations.

Well Captain Wolf, I can offer you Deahfel as a connection for you to run into. It would be interesting for them to get together since they are both in leadership roles and it sounds like they might have similar goals based on their alignment (Deah tends towards LG but can slide to CG on some issues). They could just be friends or I am sure they could help each other out with certain work leads and contracts as well. Hey Asuka, If you are wandering around in Ul'Dah you will probably run into Deahfel at some point when she is out running errands or out on patrol there. It would be interesting to see them interact and learn more about each other. Deah doesn't know much about Doma and would be interested in hearing about that or stories related to there. Hi Aluria, I would be interested to see how your character interacts with Deahfel. You can check out her wiki page below to see more about her. We could set up a meet up and see if they click. Deah is most often working out of her headquarters in Ul'Dah or patrolling. She can also be found in Gridania where she lives and trains every morning. Another idea would be to have them meet at the tavern night we are hosting tonight at the HQ (Celestine Tavern Event on the RPC calendar). When you have some down time I would look over all the intro guides to RP posted on the forum and get yourself familiar with the absolute basics and that should set you up for getting started. From there I would get together a bit of character information and background and try to organize that into a wiki. Hi M'iriya, I would certainly be glad to work with you with any of your RP goals and least get you pointed in the right direction depending on what specifically you wanted to develop(I am far from a lore expert for example). It would be interesting to see how your character would fit into the Protectors as they generally range from LG-CG on the alignment spectrum. It seems like we have a similar goal to see justice restored, but with a different approach. Hey Shona, My character Deahfel is always looking for more people to to go to events with and socialize with. She enjoys making friends and would want to support Shona as she progressed through her story. We could meet up at an event/tavern night or Deah is always hanging around the Canopy in Gridania.
