Where would you like to go next?

Recommended Posts

With dumb ol' Ishgard out of the way, What other place in FFXIV would you want it to take place next in the next expansion? From anywhere else in Hydawlyn, to another realm entirely or even New Jersey.

Personally, it would be Ala Mhigo for me, maybe take back the land from the Garleans. ICly, It's someplace Chiyo would like to visit anyway and maybe help reclaim it even. Plus, it would most like center around my favorite job, Monk, as Dragoon is to Heavensward.

I'd like to go back in time chasing after Nero when he leaps into an alternate reality where Gaius didn't let the White Raven send the moon crashing into Eorzea and now raises an army to take the continent in earnest.

The "unknown land" the adventurer hails from would be interesting to see. 1.0 had a key item that remained in your inventory, said to be a pendant given to you by your mother when you became an adventurer... I wouldn't mind to get to learn something a little more personal about the scripted adventurer (since SE already likes to script our character so much anyway).

Ala Mhigo - provided it's similar to Rabanastre from FFXII and we don't simply destroy the Garlean Empire at every turn. Hopefully we'll get some interesting Highlander characters that aren't just Raubahn clones.

I want to go to A la Mustard, but I'd be happy with Sharlayan too.

You know Ala Mhigo is gonna get hyped up so hard at the end of 3.0 like to the max and then nope just kidding 4.0 gonna be some ancient underwater kingdom nobody heard of like

A 'water' expansion would actually be pretty cool. We could gain the ability to swim underwater, build submarines and go between exploring different islands to venturing beneath the waves like in some of the earlier Final Fantasy games.

I just hope that if we do go to Garlemald it'll be like Archades in FFXII. In that we're not there to destroy it - we're there to see that the 'bad guys' aren't all that bad after all. I think it'd be a pretty interesting twist that easily aligns with what we've seen so far.
