Asmodean Posted June 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2015 IF this has been done before I'm sorry but skimming over the six to seven pages I don't see any clear threads like this. With Hevensward we had a total of eleven known Primals, two of which are Eldervand one currently unknown due to the only knowledge of it comes from Coil turn 12. So of the eight normal Primals of Eorzea, which would you character willing work with or for? Please keep in mind to use spoiler tags as needed. Asmodean will willing work with both Ravana and Shiva due to the info I have learn about them from the MSQ of Hevensward. Ravana seem to be a honorable warrior, which Asmo would highly respect and the primal seem to keep his deals once made. Asmodean would view Ravana as a equal and if needed would fight along side him to protect the Gnath if needed. Shiva on the other hand Asmodean would willing guard with his life. Shiva want to bring an end to the Dragonsong war and Asmodean would see the act not only something he should respect but something to should do everything with in his power to aid. Pointless or unending war do nothing but harm countless lives and if he was able, Asmo would do anything to help end it. Edit: I think this should go without saying but act as if primals like Garuda and Ifrit didn't try to temper your character on sight. Link to comment
Gegenji Posted June 23, 2015 Share #3 Posted June 23, 2015 Ramuh's beard. Not Ramuh himself - just the beard. In all seriousness, the big issue with picking which Primal one would follow is both the constant painting of them in a negative light... and very little information on the Primals themselves. I mean, how much do we really know about Ifrit or Titan, for example? Shiva we only know so much about because the story focused on her quite a bit. The rest are more of a "they summoned a Primal, go beat it up." Though if I had to choose.. for Chachan, I'd actually have to pull a curveball and go with Enkidu. A friend summoned to aid his bestie in his adventures? Sounds about right for the little hero. Gogon might legit go with Ramuh, though. The guy seems pretty level-headed and intelligent, all things considered. Being a guy who values knowledge and tactics, the elder of the Gegenji brothers would probably appreciate him most. As for Judge? It's hard to say. Being as law-oriented he is, most of the Primals really don't fit him. Alexander's always been of that line, though - being a big ol' protective castle duder. So, unless they're going to mix him up some, I'd probably have to say him. Link to comment
Hammersmith Posted June 23, 2015 Share #4 Posted June 23, 2015 Titan. You fuck up? You get smashed. You want things? Little buddies will build and mine it for you. You fuck with the little guy? You get smashed. You being an asshole? I hope you like seeing your city turned into a pancake. In short: Loyal Violence A+ would hit people with a rock again. 1 Link to comment
Melkire Posted June 23, 2015 Share #7 Posted June 23, 2015 Godbert Manderville You mean Byregot? 'cause like, he's totally Byregot, and his wife Julyan is almost certainly Menphina. Yesh. Mein headcanon. On a serious note... Ramuh. "We just want to be left alone, GTFO." Link to comment
Unnamed Mercenary Posted June 23, 2015 Share #8 Posted June 23, 2015 *mumbles something about Garleans and Bahamut* Link to comment
Kellach Woods Posted June 23, 2015 Share #9 Posted June 23, 2015 An as of yet unannounced Primal. Or, y'know, when we find out in the bodily invasion of Alexander that he's just as much a primal as Bahamut. Although I could see Sylvie being led to serve Garuda if Garuda makes the extermination of Gridania and the Elementals her main deal. She'll give out tomestone bonuses for every Wildwood that dies in her presence, too! Link to comment
Chris Ganale Posted June 23, 2015 Share #10 Posted June 23, 2015 Two of my characters are defined very much by their elemental aspects, so for Ganale it would be Titan and Chao would be Ifrit. Ravana without question for Seno. Honorable warmaster whose word is his bond and has enough swords for everyone? Done deal. Much harder to say for Tahz and Yuuna. Garon is very much a "no gods, no masters" kind of guy, and Ghost is an outside context problem. Link to comment
Aaron Posted June 23, 2015 Share #11 Posted June 23, 2015 Odin. If for anything, the power coupled with him being a sword. "My Zantetsuken shall split the skies apart!" Link to comment
Dogberry Posted June 23, 2015 Share #13 Posted June 23, 2015 Considering for a short period, Dogberry was suspected of being tempered by Leviathan, even going so far as to declare himself Lord of the Whorl in a fit of aetherial madness, I'm going to have to say Leviathan. In a way, Dogberry reveres Leviathan more than the Twelve. He has seen and touched Leviathan, which is more than he can say for Llymlaen. Leviathan has had a major impact on his life in a way the Twelve have not. An argument could be made that Dogberry's obsession has been a form of worship all this time. Link to comment
xelliexell Posted June 23, 2015 Share #14 Posted June 23, 2015 Good King Moggle Mog XII. Edit: This is mainly due to the mental image of her falling asleep against him in all of his fluffy moogle glory, perhaps in a Totoro-esque fashion. But if you were to somehow convince her that Primals were okay and asked her yourself? It would be a tie between GKMM and Alexander, due to her intense desire to protect her friends, combined with often feeling too powerless to do so. Link to comment
Manari Posted June 23, 2015 Share #15 Posted June 23, 2015 Godbert Manderville You mean Byregot? 'cause like, he's totally Byregot, and his wife Julyan is almost certainly Menphina. Yesh. Mein headcanon. On a serious note... Ramuh. "We just want to be left alone, GTFO." I never even considered that, but it makes perfect sense. There's no way that wasn't intentional either, there are too many similarities. Damn, that's actually kind of awesome. Especially since Manari follows Menphina fairly devoutly as well. Caspar Posted June 23, 2015 Share #16 Posted June 23, 2015 Ravana. He has a warlike but fair personality, and Virara has a weird affinity for bugs that I've not been able to show much yet. In Vedic myth Ravana was an Asura king, and the Asura have symbolic significance in Virara's story development. Link to comment
Blue Posted June 23, 2015 Share #17 Posted June 23, 2015 I have made my characters looks and personalities based on the 8 elements of FFXI, so that's a pretty easy guess.... Blue = Leviathan Jet'a = Shiva Vincent = Titan Clive = Ifrit Kujh'a = Ramuh Xaela child (to be named still) = Garuda Aki and the Xaela male... not sure. They're the embodiment of light and darkness respectively, and XIV has no primals for those. In FFXI it was Alexander and Odin, though. Link to comment
Aduu Avagnar Posted June 23, 2015 Share #19 Posted June 23, 2015 Either Ramuh, Titan or Ravana. (Though truth be told, it would totally be Phoenix). For the first two its primarily about protection, with Ravana there is that as well as furthering the aims of his people Though, given his personality, desire to maintain balance and keep the aether flowing in the land? totally Phoenix. Arter Wood Posted June 23, 2015 Share #20 Posted June 23, 2015 Good King Moggle Mog XII. To serve such a fluffy king. It's irresistible for Arter. Link to comment
Faye Posted June 24, 2015 Share #21 Posted June 24, 2015 Faye would worship Ramuh, because he's a benign badass, protector of the Twelveswood where she was raised, and shares her distaste for Imperials. Link to comment
K'hatos Posted June 24, 2015 Share #22 Posted June 24, 2015 Ravana, I like the cut of that guy's jib, in that he almost certainly has cut more than a few jibs. Link to comment
V'aleera Posted June 24, 2015 Share #23 Posted June 24, 2015 V'aleera wouldn't worship Ravana but she'd certainly fight under him. Link to comment

"And so on the day of decendence the great lord sacrificed him self for his people. Moogle Mogome 7:23" Gold Heartstone- Titan MEN SPEAK WITH THEIR FIST AND WRESTLING Rathsual K'thaka- Shiva Obessed with the cold and sernity of peace. Hull Wolf- Levithan. ShoggMommy Posted June 30, 2015 Share #25 Posted June 30, 2015 If going by anything in the past about FFs... And if he's anything like the past FFs in any sort of way, C'sien would probably follow Alexander, I know the raid's coming out and I'm not sure if he will be a primal but if indeed he is... Then that would suit. Granted things are very unknown with him but I'm also just basing it off of the past versions of Alexander. As for Saikhan, likely Shiva or Ravana, but I need to know more about him. From what I did see he's a very interesting primal. Link to comment
