It was elaborated as the things that people log in for beyond doing things like their dailies and dungeons. The social aspects, the roleplay, and so on. Essentially they see the value in the fluffy things and understand that it's what keeps a good chunk of their playerbase logging in, where as I suppose other games and in the past they might not have realized just how effective or important it is.

I was so lucky to get invited to the meet and greet in London, and he elaborated then too on those emotes and he seemed genuinely fascinated by the "daily lifestyle" in FFXIV and stated multiple time that they want to support that and roleplay. So I am super hyped for the future in that regard, I think good things'a'coming.

The Matron's Reach Clinic is open for walk-in patients of all kinds. The clinic is located in the Goblet, Ward 7, Plot 6. You can: - Drop by with both minor and major injuries. - Get a regular check up before you head out on adventure. - Get answers to your health-related questions - Be referred to a therapist - Find a specialist for your ongoing medical mysteries - Get cured from poisons and venom * - Purchase potions, bandages, medicine, ointments and even a hangover cure. The event is open for everyone, and the clinic is neutral, rest easy - even criminals can be treated and wont be prosecuted afterwards. For me, the biggest red flag is when IC interaction is taken to the OOC sphere and used to generate a problem or uncomfortable situation. This could be people pulling the "I have a crush on you because your character is nice" to metagaming, emoting in "me/you-form" and assuming that because a character dislikes yours, then the player does too. All three of them will lead me stepping away from the roleplay, wrapping it up or otherwise find a way to move on that is respectful but firm. Another red flag is if people end up in drama-llama situations a lot and do not visibly handle it well, and it's simply because I don't have any interest in getting dragged into anything drama. I've become a touch careful with people who put an emphasis on finding one solid "RP partner" (I really dislike the word, overall, but that's another rabble) - It ties in with the IC/OOC bleeding, especially if a person is obsessed with finding a roleplay partner that they can have a character relationship with, I simply end up questioning if they're not just out to fill an OOC need. Secondly, because I've seen and heard of so many stories where this kind of roleplayer turns abusive, needlessly controlling or a good combination of both - leaving their "partner" with low self-esteem and guilt for not being able to meet the roleplay needs of the abusive person. It's a kind of thing that's bad in a simple friendship too, but can really be amplified in the roleplay world. Thirdly, and this is sort of a style-issue as well, but personally I wouldn't want to become someone's only source of roleplay, or end up in a situation where I can't RP or play the game without the other being around and always being involved. It's not a big red flag, but it could (especially if anything of the abusive-type-traits show up) be a smaller red flag. Otherwise it's all down to style differences, but I wont include those since that doesn't really belong in this topic.

[align=center]The Matron's Reach[/align] The Matron's Reach Company is a new company open for selective recruitment. It is the hope to foster a small and close-knit company of like-minded people. The Free Company is an extension of the Linkshell, which has an emphasis on the role of healing in Eorzea. The company itself is a medicinal company, which produces and imports medicine. It is hiring people that can help nurture this task and who have a good interest in the task. For example: - Healers (Magical & Traditional) - Bodyguards/Sellswords - Herbalists & Crafters - Traders Here's what selective recruitment means: We consider these points to be an essential part of building the kind of Free Company we'd love to have. - The recruitment process will for the most part be IC, and you have to be willing to work your way into what we do - which may take weeks. Essentially we're looking to build up a situation where getting hired into the company seems very natural. - We only want to recruit people who can identify themselves with the Heavy-RP playstyle. Being familiar with the free-form combat style is also a great plus as there will be no elaborate /random system. We'd like to be able to trust each other with our roleplay. - As a part of that style your character has to follow the lore of the game, bending can be alright, but breaking is not. - We're especially interested in proactive souls, assisting with or creating events, plotlines and so forth are all things we want to expect of each other. - By small and close-knit, you have to be alright with being in an FC that isn't bustling with people all the time. We aim to keep the size of the FC around 10-12 people at maximum, and it presently has 4. The rate of people joining is slow. - Timezones friendliness focuses on EU and EST. - Alts are welcome, but we expect you to be active and in touch via Discord. What wants to be able to offer in the long run, is good roleplay that is inclusive of your desires and ideas, good people with potential for making great friends, with an open atmosphere free of drama. I don't consider my characters to have all of the mounts that they have available to summon as a game mechanic, and not all of my characters have a chocobo IC. They will instead borrow a porter if they feel there is a need. As someone else pointed out, I also see it as something you could compare with having a horse - and some of my characters wouldn't have the time to properly care for a chocobo or a stable, nor the gil to hire someone to do that for them. If they do have a chocobo, then it's a case of it being stabled or tied up when not needed. Additionally it just doesn't come up a lot in RP for me, I am always fine with having my characters do a bit of walk and talk.

The ultimate decision will be done by public vote, it wouldn't be Eorzeas most coveted titles without the input from Eorzeans! The how to: Two rounds of the competition will be held. Contestants must sign up in advance to secure their spot. On the day of the event contestants will first be paraded off in the Bikini round, consisting of a brief walk on stage with a pose. Once the audience has been warmed up by the gorgeous looks, the Talent round will begin. In the talent round you will have 3 minutes to execute something that shows off your best ability.
