For the record, no one came to me about the event in question that I had signed up for. I simply had nothing to do that day and decided I'd go. They literally RPed with me an hour or so before to get the information and it was really just last minute stuff. I didn't expect to make that much, nor did I really go out of my way to tell people I was going or anything. I just.. kind of showed up for the gathering before in order to meet some people (which I did, and it was a lot of fun). Everything that happened after was a.. pleasant surprise. I didn't mean to imply anything negative if that's how it sounded: You're the most recent big-ticket person I can think of. I think that's exactly the draw, though. Hold event for gil, hope someone popular shows up. ...not that I'm trying to make it sound like the folks running only have money on the brain. It just makes the most business sense to "go viral" and make a shit ton of cash from the folks who'll bring it. Cast your net out and hope you get some huge fish. No, that's okay =) And I totally understand the draw of it. It's not hard to see someone wanting to make a quick buck (or gil in this instance). In fact, it's pretty obvious. I'd personally like to see a lot more events that aren't based on getting rich quick and instead just to RP/hang with others, like what Erik is doing with his ball (though I'll unfortunately be missing it due to having an out-of-town competition to go to). But yeah, Warren, you have a good point =) I just wish it wasn't so prevalent lately.

Honestly, I welcome and open up anyone to post whatever rumors they'd like to on Val's page, so long as they actually know him =) I don't really go around and throw rumors up, and that's my fault. I recently went on a binge and ran around throwing up random rumors to people's wikis. Hopefully they noticed!

I'll admit that I certainly don't get enough despite Val being made more or less for that purpose. So, if anyone has any action/adventure plots and need a foul-mouthed Miqo'te to liven things up, let me know! That also goes for other characters I have! Vallois, my Elezen mercenary, is good for those kind of things as well.

Just a quick update! We've got some people that have been interested, though I know we've been pretty quiet lately! Unfortunately, I haven't really been able to have the time to focus strictly on my alt (which is only level 17 x_x I need to get him up there!). I've considered ways of letting people know that the Turks are actively RPing in the Gold Saucer for any that may be interested in joining in, either as a bystander or to just interact. I've had my character stand around the Quicksand a few times, but to me that seems counterproductive to the idea as a whole. That being said, does anyone have any ideas to clue those in that may want to join us when we get together to RP them? It's been pretty sporadic lately, though we tend to use the Manderville Lounge in Wonder Square when we do! So if you're walking around and see a bunch of suits, it's probably some of us!

Val tries real hard to write Faye poetry or letters. Melfice does a lot of very unsavory things with his experiments. Vallois thinks. A lot. Mostly about his current relationship and stuff. Cyrus doesn't do anything 'cause he dead.

So many first meetings x_x I do recall Berrod hitting on Faye when he and Val first met, and he and Val immediately got into a fight. And then I recall the subsequent slamming-a-bottle-over-the-head, which is still one of my favorite moments in game so far. It wasn't quite their first meeting, but my most memorable moment between Aya and Val was them walking around the city together. It was one of the few times he'd actually opened up to someone that wasn't his significant other, and I really enjoyed it. I also recall when Val first met Siobhain, and the many subsequent fights/sparring matches they had. I miss those fights ;-; and just good RP combat in general. The first time Vincent met Misha was great! They were doing Turk things and she just kind of wandered behind a tree and started listening in--until they found her. It was incredibly comical and I expect great things to come after I remember meeting Jacques and Vaughn in that little RP story we did, and it was great =) Val was so incredibly annoyed by all the.. stuffiness of the place, but it was nice to see him accepted regardless! Meeting Kah'li out in the Grindstone and him thinking Val was just another dumb brute (which he was), and the two hating each other for a while before becoming somewhat good friends! To be honest, most people met Val either through him yelling at someone, threatening to hit someone, or fighting someone. So a lot of that is the same with him. I thought it was hilarious to hear Aya had listened in on one of Berrod and Val's many explicit conversations about things!

My bedtime tends to be late, as in 5AM-ish, though due to classes I have pulled a few no-sleep nights. A couple of times I've gone to bed at 8-9AM while playing with others--not particularly XIV--but other games with people I've met on XIV. My body is weird and I stay up late either way, regardless of what I'm doing. I'm just a night owl. It's also weird in that no matter how long I stay up, I can only manage about six hours of sleep--eight if I'm terribly lucky--a night/day. Eventually I tend to crash and just pass out for 12 hours, but I can't really say when that will happen. I only regret it when I have to wake up ass early the next morning to try to go to the gym, or when I sleep to the point that I wake up and immediately have to go to work. Since the semester has been so demanding of me, I've just.. not gone to the gym. I know! It sucks and it's horrible of me! But I plan on jumping back into it after and I won't be able to stay up nearly as late anymore.

Seems like we have about the same schedule =) I have a plethora of characters that you're welcome to get involved in/with! If you see me online (I'm usually on Val), feel free to poke me!
