I have been using this coat as part of Ben's rp look since the original event. This is the first time I have ever heard it referred to as lorebreaking :dazed:

Here is Ben as a woman: As for changes, I don't think there would be many. Although perhaps her story on the streets could have been a bit darker.

Well, if she is wandering the roads it is a good bet that she might run into Benedict at some point. Feel free to look me up in game and maybe they can meet somewhere on the road.

Vegas, huh? I see a day in my future being something like this . . . Leave bar, travel from New Orleans to Vegas, drink while on the plane, arrive in Vegas, slur my way through hotel check in, find bar. This may have also been a day in my past . . .

For anyone who has met Ben and roleplayed with him, he is first and foremost a homeless guy. He isn't sad about it or it isn't used as a sympathy hook, it is simply a fact of who he is. He sees great freedom in not being bound by a home, or a job, or any of the things that trap us in our own lives. However, like all people, he has a story and he has his own struggles and things he believes in and will fight for. I tend to save most of his struggles as a dark knight between select players who I feel will add to that level of who he is but to the rest of the world I play him as homeless man who use to be a soldier. For me it is the best way to blend his simple persona with the darker and more edgy details of his profession. I often think of him as the homeless vet who you know has psychological issues and demons, but there is little that can be done about it. Again, not as a sympathy ploy, but as an accurate description of the character I enjoy playing.

You can count Ben in on this. He already likes to check in on her anyway. My only issues is my free time is not quite as "free" as others. Something that has been a constant hurdle in any of his roleplays.

Benedict is easy, Sacrifice. In his mind he tied his sense of purpose to what he can do for others. The more he gives the more he makes a difference in the world. Even if that means he gives himself completely.

*claps enthusiastically* I'm not going to lie . . . I kinda want to see this.

I could not stop laughing at this tagline. Thank you for that. As for Ben . . all I have is cheesy. Pearl Lane is his home, the dark and dirty slums of one of the biggest cities in Eorzea. There he fights, there he bleeds. Maybe he’d save it, if he didn’t have to fight his own demons too.

Great concept for a topic. So, for Benedict he has a few issues that make me nervous when roleplaying with others: 1.) Benedict is chaotic to a fault. He rarely plans and mostly reacts to things. This is not always appreciated. Especially when combined with a couple other of his faults. 2.) Benedict is an emotionally charged and driven character. I am really trying to play up the Dark Knight's power residing in their emotions, or what Fray likes to call their "dark well." This means he rarely has subdued reactions to things. He was an emotionally driven character before he became a dark knight, and is 100x worse now. 3.) Benedict goes to dark places. As a roleplayed dark knight, it is Fear, Pain, and Rage that fuel his abilities. So, when it does come to combat he is aggressive and brutal. Things that are not always stomached by other players. The best example I can give comes from the first quest in the Dark Knight chain:

Step 1: Friend you . . . finally a success! Cheers! Step 2: Work out possible rp background/tavern tales, etc. PM me if you have any ideas. Step 3: Rp and start the drinking!

Sorry, I'm trying my best not to conflict with any RP event that is already out there. I hope to see you around though! Don't worry, you are doing great and I'm sure many people will benefit from the change. I'll just have to keep going to the events that I can make it to. Cheers!

Benedict showed up because someone told him that if he wears his red coat and goes then he will get dinner. That didn't work out so hot. So Ben shows up to a singles mixer and ends up leaving alone but making friends with the barkeep. Sounds like a good night all in all! Thanks for having me and I look forward to any events you have in the future.

And with that I will just say . . . Work is a constant roadblock.

And sure! I'd be glad to meet Elyon. Raih's very likely to be bumped into in Ul'dah/Thanalan, and sometimes the Shroud. She's likely to be in a bad mood when she's in the Shroud though, heh. I'll look out for you in game and shoot you a friend request so we can organise something. I tried searching for you last night, but no luck. I will keep trying. Ben needs more drinking buddies . . he has him and his chocobo, and no one likes a chocobo that is an angry drunk.

This is utterly fantastic! I'll be sending you something as soon as I log on next. No need to add Benedict to the list though. He would never be able to do something like this IC, but I love the idea so much I'd like to support it.
