Ha ha definitely understandable! I'm more likely to defer to you on the whole thing because I am in no way good with history, or a history buff. I R DUMB. I'm just hoping for something neat and then I will devour anything I can find when it comes to examples in history! 8D And probably poke some of you history buffs until you want to strangle me. Also LS's would be great, I know of one thus far that I'm in called Othard United. It's for general Eastern characters, Domans, future Au Ra, what have you but it's a start if there are no others out there and they're friendly!

I think they're definitely hunter/gatherers because of the little description we do have in their text on the official site: Though I'm sure there will be unique tribes out there that might not be specifically that. If anything has been proven it's that nature doesn't always follow a set pattern, most of the time, but not always. I don't think a Pastoralist or even a Gypsy style tribe would be too far fetched. Not at all. That's just my two cents on that of course. The former is probably more likely than the latter.

You and I think a lot alike, I've been looking at the Mongols and the Huns quite a bit because of the pointed way they mention the Steppes for the Xaela. I'd also be very interested in this! I think we'll have a bit more to go on once they drop the Benchmark on us, which if things I've read are true and everything goes right, should be around the 24th - 26th. Somewhere in there. Once we have naming conventions it'll probably be much easier to nail down what culutures we should be looking at for inspiration. As it stands though I'm with you, I'm staring hard at the Mongols. My character however might be a bit bland compared to some but right now she's a sort of superstitious, warrior type female who enjoys her scuffles, is good at what she does because it's all she's ever really thrown herself into, and is very proud of her race and tribe. If anyone wants to plot with me I'm more than happy to hand out my Skype! Just PM me for it, or it's in my About Me section I think. :bouncy:

Don't quote me but I googled a lot in desperation for the same date and that's what I've seen on the official forums from people. Hopefully that's the right date! 8D I believe this is the same time frame I saw mentioned elsewhere, that the benchmark is coming out with an event in Japan. A NicoNico event sounds extremely familiar to what I've read before so I bet this is it. Yeah I just looked it up again, it was released to a website called Famitsu, but I can't read Japanese so I'm kind of unable to verify it on THEIR page, so my info came from Reddit. It's the NicoNico Super Conference that they're supposed to be releasing it at/with.

I've been toying with the idea of of glamour 'charms' so to speak, not sure if it's fully formed but the idea comes from the concept of the glamour prisms. You just don't get rid of them or...break them, whatever it is that happens to them when they're used! I think full body glamours are completely feasible at this point, with everything we've seen thus far they're definitely present and there have been cases obviously of Hyurian (?) races using them. I would think like others though it would be hard to maintain them when doing certain things, I don't think they'd hold up to anything like fighting or anything that generally saps aetheric energies. That's just my own two cents of course. I don't think they're uncommon at this point though. ^^

I would be interested in this myself, I really like the Au Ra and I have a couple of concepts that I'm playing with. I'm actually interested in making a female thus far but I'll be waiting for the benchmark as well. The males look really neat and I have so few male characters, I miss my others from some of my forum games I've played. :c If you two are interested I wouldn't mind chit chatting about tribal/familial connections! I have er, in game on my main or I have Skype! 8D

I promise I'll stop spamming your thread but I wanted to point it out because I've thought it for a while, your outfits that you draw are just fantastic. I love them! Very nice piece of work as well, it looks like it would be an extremely interesting spar to watch!

They're so cute! Good job on them! If only we could have these as companions as Conjurers, of course it'd make no sense BUT THEY'RE CUTE.

The main that I have gets her fair share I'd think, but maybe not as much as I'd like or ever really let on. It's difficult with her because she's not a 'combat' character but to be honest I'd love to see more adventure. It doesn't even necessarily have to be combat but I've done a couple of IC romps through some dungeons and it was a blast to say the least. I love the other aspects of RP but I think you're absolutely right Kiht, and the 'meal' does feel a little empty without adventure/action thrown in! Note: My own deprivation of action/adventure is completely of my own making. My FC is wonderful about having action and adventure in their plots. My character just not so much. : x

Because despite the way the game punishes alts, I stillhave more than eight characters with wildly different personalities, histories, and play opportunities that I can fit into this setting and want to play. Yup exactly that! And no worries, there's always differing opinions on that. Anywho, you can usually catch me on my main so if you do need the help and decide what you want to do, always feel free to give me a poke for help!

Maybe it was worth pointing out to the others, and maybe even worth looking into, one could never be certain. She'd just have to visit that new tea shop another morning.

@Nataru: Heh, that's about the time I wake up so that works out just fine! I'll try to look you up as soon as I get the chance, I might have some others I can drag along too if no one else needs to fill the other spots. @D'eshel: I know how that feels. I have a lot of character with half leveled classes because I hated and decided to switch or was just not fond of leveling anymore. I always had help leveling though so I'm more than happy to help if you need it as well. I tend to binge on my PvE so... BRING ON THE DUNGEON TRAWLIN'. Plus I have alts I can level with people...I have a problem with alts...

I'd be willing as usual to offer my healing services if you'd like that! That or I have a tank I need to push to 50 but I can't guarentee you'd want that since it's my first tank ever. :blush:

I wouldn't mind meeting your character! He sounds fun. ^^ I actually have a character who worked with Pirates for a while, helping do the lowly work on the ships like unloading them and cleaning up. Maybe we could set something up with them.
