  1. New thread made since I'm not sure people will still look at the other thread after its discourse. In light of the earthquake in Kumamoto, Japan in April, the automatic demolition of estates was suspended. However, after careful consideration, we have decided to resume auto-demolition with the release of patch 3.4. * Please be advised there is a possibility the timer will be suspended again at a later date should the need arise. Scheduled Patch Release Date Tuesday, September 27, 2016 * The exact date and time for the maintenance coinciding with the patch release will be announced at a later time. Auto-Demolition Counter and Current Home Owners The counter for auto-demolition may be reset for certain estates depending on the usage of housing during the period when housing was suspended. For players that have accessed housing at least once during the suspension period. The auto-demolition timer will be reset for the following players: Free company leaders and members who entered their company estate at least once. Private estate owners who have entered their company estate at least once. The count for days of inactivity for the aforementioned players will begin with the release of patch 3.4. For players that have not accessed housing during the suspension period. The auto-demolition timer will resume from the time remaining as of Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 3:00 a.m. (PDT). Please be advised that the timer will resume immediately after patch data is made available during the scheduled maintenance for patch 3.4. Because of this, there is a possibility the auto-demolition timer may expire for certain estates before maintenance has ended. For those players whose estate will be prepared for auto-demolition within ten days of the scheduled maintenance, an e-mail notification will be delivered to the e-mail address registered to their Square Enix account. We strongly suggest those players log in and access their housing before the scheduled maintenance for patch 3.4. * The e-mail notification will be delivered to the registered e-mail addresses of all free company estate owners and their free company members, as well as private estate owners. Confirming Time Until Auto-Demolition For players who have not accessed their estate in at least thirty days, the status under the Estate tab of the Timers window will indicate the estate is being prepared for auto-demolition and denote the number of days remaining. This status will no longer be displayed upon accessing the estate. * Please be advised that this window will only display the number of days until auto-demolition and not an exact time. We strongly urge you to access your estate well before the scheduled day for auto-demolition.

  3. If you're still taking submissions I'd love to see some more popotos. Here's Kage, thank you if you take him on!
  4. The squall outfit is going to be the new veteran reward, I believe. Where did either of you get this info? 1440 day vet reward is still ???? surprise. It's not been put into the game. rip. Translation a few days later says it is Squall but not finished. My bad.
  5. Keep a lookout for pugs in PF as that and static recruitment sites are where you will get the most bites. You're more likely to find a PVE focused group or FC which has no one give a fuck if people RP. In fact, I don't think you'll have issues finding an FC is lax about it unless you are looking to join the Top 5% of raiders on Balmung. I don't know of an FC that is FC-RP focused that also has dedicated content runs, especially a progression static for raiding. I know of RPers that DO progression raids but I don't know if say... there's an actual FC group'd static that has cleared or is progressing through A8S/Midas 4S. I used to sorta be in this until I just stopped caring about being in fc and just finding groups or LS for it. (And then I stopped progression raiding)
  6. Since you don't know what's going on I can't accurately tell you what might have went wrong. Take note that shifting sands targets a random player so it it's not as if it is stationary. You may have to constantly move. Cutter's cry is in the range where you as a PLD are stuck with using Sword Oath until you hit 40 (max level you can be in Cutter's) where you get Shield Oath. It's not very easy but it is certainly doable to hold aggro in Sword Oath and as a PLD here. Are you pulling while being buffed? Are you pulling when you have a HoT (Heal over time)? Typically at that level it's an Aspected Regen-like AST buff or the WHM's Regen (green icon would be on your buff bar). The enemies shouldn't be so easily ignoring your flash if they're in range and you've used it 2+ times. (Rule of thumb is that you flash around the same number of times as you have enemies and spread your aggro combo: Fast Blade -> Savage Blade -> Rage of Halone) Also, how well updated is your gear, especially your sword? Also, if you have ranged and they wail on the mobs as soon as you shield lob and haven't used flash they will get aggro much faster.
  7. It'll probably count as owning property so I'd say it won't be allowed just because you can't own more than one house. But hey, SE's surprised me with stupidity before! For all we know, since the apartment sounds like an FC house equivalent you may be able to own an apartment like you can with a personal room and a personal house.
  8. So far it is unknown whether or not people with personal houses can get an apartment. There is another live letter so more is to be revealed in that Sept live letter.
  9. This is unconfirmed as we do not know if each ward/subward gets it. Especially as atm Balmung is the server with the highest active population at only 20k. Considering how the devs have always aimed at satisfying the near lowest common denominator, they're not aiming to satisfy Balmung's needs.
  10. PArcher of the official forums found her for you
  11. House Haillenarte lost both Vigils. You can find some of the lore about that in the thread about the four houses here. Carteneau Flats is where the final battle of 1.0 happened and where Bahamut unleashed his rampage. There are allagan remains found at the Flats that all three city-states cannot agree on what is the best course of action to deal with them. As such you have 'non-lethal' battles though accidents do occur. Dialogue about frontlines course can be found here, http://xivdb.com/quest/67065/Like+Civilized+Men+And+Women+(Immortal+Flames) In the 2.3 patch (Defenders of Eorzea) MSQ, refugee violence was incited in no small part by Teledji Adeledji who wanted the violence to push forward the Carteneau Reclamation (Act/Bill) in order to get the access of the weapon only known as 'Omega' (nothing else is really mentioned afaik).
  12. The minion shelf is not what I had in mind for letting Kage's zoo roam in the FC house / room. Coil completion will affect the Main Scenario dialogue since Alisaie is featured in those (in special particular moment T12) and I imagine the WoL inclusion and completion of Coil would indeed affect dialogue.
  13. Balmung is officially "not everyone will be happy with housing" as apartments are limited to 1536 per world (512 in each city state: Limsa, Ul'dah and Grid)
  14. Call your gamestops. Orders may need to be just FF games or preorders of FFXV. Unsure if preorders of FF-related games apply.
  15. I mean, if it wasn't so stupidly scarce and less confusing (does top tier include lower. This is why I like charts for kickstarters)... it sounds like an internet cafe??? Which might be nice. I don't know. It could be anyway.

  17. I mean, Balmung's active population is reported to be somewhere close to a little less than double most of the 'ok populated' servers and even triple to quintuple the size of the 'empty' servers. I don't think Balmung will really get to the state where everyone is happy with a house etc.
  18. Your healer also now hates you and is making a thread like this or is posting about it on tumblr or commenting about it somewhere. ... well I probably would >.>;
  19. I believe the general response (barring a few) have been a) just put your best foot forward to your potential and b) we won't berate you, we might bitch and vent somewhere but we're not going to direct that frustration at you. It's those very frustrating moments when a healer just jumps, dances or emotes so it's pretty clear that they're fooling around and are actually not putting their current best foot forward [i wanna be Deadpool and MAXIMUM EFFORT]. Otherwise, I honestly don't notice a healer unless my HP flipflops worse than a mountain range that has outrageous peaks and minimums. I honestly think it's more these discussions than anything actually happening in the dungeons that actually make me want to comment on these types of threads. In these old arguments, I don't particularly think well of or think that they hold up well a) I pay the sub I do what I want. I play how I play. b) It is not my role. I signed up as a healer not a DD. c) You didn't die right? d) This isn't endgame raiding. I mean I know commendations are a dime a dozen but I'd like to believe that my 3200+ commendations mean that I haven't done anything in a dungeon to make another (especially a healer) feel negative or badly, whether or not I wonder if they can or are willing to do more.
  20. To characterize Tanking cooldowns as not an actual part of the Tanking role in order to justify the idea that DPS is part of the Healer role is just... It's disingenuous at best. In comparison, I find it fair. Here's actually being disingenuous. Healers don't need to DPS. Tanks don't need to use defensive cooldowns. Defensive cooldowns are just so tanks don't die in Solo content. If tanks just keep hate on the mobs that's all that matters because all healers need to do is heal them. Nothing hits tanks (who gear correctly) enough to oneshot them if they're pulling groups of mobs one at a time. So if a healer just heals them, tank won't die. Party won't wipe. All good right? It's not like tanks should actually do their best to put a healer at ease too. Maybe tanks don't even need to bother with good positioning for melee, forcing the melee to move closer to the other mobs in the dungeon that are patrolling etc.
  21. To be fair, i think Hall of Novice was created to address players' concerns about other players being found to be lacking when they meet them in party content.
  22. To be fair, I've slogged my way through several groups that had people that rubbed me the wrong way in some shape or form. DPSing their own targets, running ahead or lagging far behind, not shutting up (I had a "delightful" VArk with a pair of players that spouted inane chatter about baby daddies and whatnot THE ENTIRE WAY THROUGH), dying to mechanics. Mostly just because I find myself thinking that clearing out this run, as annoying as the other players may be, is still better than having to re-queue and do all that work all over again. Unless it's blatantly obvious we're not going to progress - such as in some Trials. Then I still give it a few tried before ducking out. It also just really depends on how burnt out I am and whether or not I have the patience. I'll stay in Nidhogg normal until any of these things make themselves apparent: a) people are too slow and are not learning mechanics b) it's obvious the DPS is lacking c) no one is filling this and we are better off vote abandoning. I typically give some tips/pointers and I might gripe somewhere in a different LS, tumblr or other out of game chat. I strive to not actually berate anyone. We all make some mistakes and I've made them a few times (like some A7 tanking oops). It hurts when people become dicks about it and that's the type of thing I strive not to do. People have different levels of comfort for stance dancing. For me I start to be a lot more cautious when I see tank hp dip to 50% and stance dance less because I think they're not utilizing their CDs as much as I would as a tank. What I've done as a WHM is Stoneskin, regen once the mobs are green, Cleric, swift holy about 2-3 times and then get back to healing. If only one pack was pulled it means most of the mobs are dead or the dps is crap or... the tank has an i44 sword and the mobs were on my at the time I holy'd 1-2x. >.>; I'm much more comfortable in stance dancing as a SCH than I am a WHM but I am pretty antsy stance dancing as AST. I haven't found my comfort zone with nocturnal quite yet so i typically stance dance more in diurnal but not nearly enough as I would with the others. I'm not sure if it's how AST plays or just that I only spent 30 levels in AST... (Hell I remember people talking about stance dancing in the vault and my thoughts were oh god yiiikes)
