This is terrible news. So looking forward to your enlightenment and song for Nald'thal. If she feels better, or coerces some people to carry her on a bed above their heads like the goddess she surely is, we can always fill her back in for a spot or to simply spectate. Also - Cotton Robes are available in red, black, or white, for those who wish to participate discreetly. Just throw me a whisper.

Aww thank you. I'm going to try to log and get lots of pictures of the whole thing so hopefully all of our European friends will forgive the time. With the conferences, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and lots of other international holidays the time fit best for everyone hosting. Will definitely change it up if the whole event works out so everyone has a time slot to go for at least one of them. Still pilgrims are arriving in the cities heading towards Highbridge for tomorrow!

So excited at the response I've gotten from this idea. A lot of people are getting involved and it should be a blast for the turnout. For Pilgrims: During the performance, pilgrims are asked to be silent in the public channels. Emotes with /em, /say, and /yell are asked to be held off until the main performance is over. Animation and sound emotes are welcomed! Please just turn the text off on them during the performance. In lieu of reacting in /em and /say, pilgrims are encouraged to form parties with their friends and groups to react to each other in /p - that should help with the text bloat and keep the reactions more personal and immersed with the main people pilgrims want to interact with. Anyone willing to host a "during performance" party for those who come on their own please contact me so I can find you at the event start and get people together to interact and meet. If a group of friends has room in their party and wouldn't mind hosting a new addition, that would be wonderful too. We'll sort it out at the start of the event. After the performance, everyone is welcome to use /em and /say and can change parties as wanted. Also have some crowd interaction planned, so pilgrims are encouraged to watch for emote prompts! There will be a playlist of music available for atmosphere to play in the background from YouTube. ~ I am still touching base with everyone involved for questions and hashing out little details to keep the event flowing. If I haven't found you and friend-ed you online yet I'm looking! (dumb search system) so if you spot me first, you win. ~

*CRASH* Jancis stared at the vial that had flew across the room and smashed on her shelf. In a hurry she went to clean up the mess of glass bits and liquid on the wall. "Oh thank Thaliak." she spoke aloud to no one, a sigh of relief that spread through her whole body. She hadn't hit the figurine. Jancis picked up the little rosewood crane, smiling lightly as she buffed it with her handkerchief and placed it back on the shelf. It was an endearing gift, for its handiwork and attention to detail was worth far more than the gil someone would place upon it. Oscare had made it, and her thoughts drifted to the hunter. She had to tell him she did not need the favor he offered. In fact, that's why she nearly hit the wooden crane. Cici had handled that, with the help of Lord C'kayah and his generous nature, Jancis had procured enough somnus for her. She was in the middle of preparing her detoxification serum when the strap broke, sending the vial flying. And there was another reason to write him. She needed help, looking at the record book Ridley had given her on behalf of Otto Vann. It had lists of places and facts about Alveo in it. And Alveo had chosen not to come back. Even if he might be dead now, he left to stay gone no matter how long Jancis waited for him. Picking up parchment, she wrote to Oscare: Dear Oscare, I write you in haste that you might not be troubled about my previous dilemma. It has been handled though there are not enough words at what your offer means to me. Sir L'aenoh slowly recovers, though there is much to handle and I fear I will be weakened by the time that solution comes to fruition. There is another matter that I ask for your assistance and support in. My heart is heavy of late and my thoughts wander back to that portrait I spoke to you about many moons ago. Perhaps I long for some connection or, at the very least, a distraction from these current events. I have inquired about that portrait once again with the Maelstrom, but it has gone missing from their safe house nor was it auctioned off. I would much like to find it once more and hopefully where it had come from. You have some connections within that know how things go missing, mayhaps one of them would know of such a disappearance. If not, I understand. Regardless your answer, I thank you. Be safe and well, Jancis

The letter is frayed and crumpled terribly, a sliver of the parchment missing from the end corner. The seal has long since broken, most of the wax stripping off. Though addressed to Lady Coatleque Crofte at the Hourglass, the letter is part of a failed bandit raid and picked up, by chance, in the hands of a man who goes by the name of Xydane. Shown to Jancis once more, the letter is carried by the swordsman's hand to Ul'dah. Dear Cici, I think about you often. About your heartbreak. I dare say I akin myself to Sir Castille time to time. Would I the courage to walk blindly through the snow in hopes to find someone that has, perchance, left me behind only for their own welfare. But we all saw what state he returned in. Thaliak only knows how that man survives anything. Would the Turns of what wisdom he should bear shine upon him to not be so reckless. Still, sometimes I venture the thoughts of lying in the snow, knowing my intentions to be true. It has been moons and no word. There would be word. Master Vann has offered to help and I have taken him up on it. With his connections he might just bring light to the unknown. This artist of Ul'dah is truly a remarkable man. I have not met nor read of any like him. He has a generous heart and still manages to stay grounded with people around him. It is almost like an extended family, of sorts, though his ideals and likes are quite peculiar. I always have this urge in my heart to help him with his dreams. He spoke of a wife and child he was forced to leave behind, I wonder if this life of excess is an attempt to fill the void. And not just his own void, but many others'; he gives freely of his time be it by his presence or his assets. I have rarely seen him upset and upon such occasion, it has always been with another's well-being concern in mind. So I took Master Vann up that he might help me find what happened to Alveo. I dishonor Thaliak by living in the dark. By staying with the unknown. Were he dead I know in my heart he did not mean to. That he did everything within his power to live. He told me that once; that his perspective changed. That all that mattered was living. Or maybe he changed his mind. He also spoke of going North to live there, to fight, to fly through the snowy skies and soar with spear in hand. He had such doubts before. His mentor always encouraged him to pursue such dreams. Mayhaps going there it became a reality. My answer back would be a dismissal. I feel doubt and it scorns me. Alveo told me not to doubt him, not even when he was away. I hate beds. I hate how lonely they feel and so large. In inn rooms at times I will simply pull the blankets to the floor and sleep that way. If he needed me. Needed help. He would have called for me? Am I that utterly useless? My only other thought is that he is under duress, but I know who whom could do such a thing to him. He left so quickly with only a note upon the door and days later his stuff was cleaned out. The shadowing doubts of others weight heavily upon me and can no longer be dismissed. Dare say I am lucky to known what I have. I had only read about such feelings before. Barely observed true people having them. To have them myself. To feel another want and desire me, to show care and giving, is truly remarkable. I am blessed with this knowledge; I am fortunate to be given an undeniable experience of how important it is I work hard to preserve it for everyone else around me. At least I got that though it was far more than I could ever deserve. For you, Cici, I will be there and support your dreams. For a family. For a new start. It will happen, the rivers of your life flows that way; I shall keep it on course. Be safe and well, Jancis

Ask the Phoenix [OPEN IC Advice Column]
Jancis replied to ZindelloTarantella's topic in Town Square (IC)
Dear Master Phoenix, I would like to say that I have been reading your advice column since the very first issue. Truly it is an inspiration for those who are too shy to ask or do not know how to. I am writing in with regards to your advice to Smothered yet Frustrated. I, too, have come to some awkward situations with would be courtiers and wished to write you for clarification. Alas, there are many a lady I know that suffer similar debacles. Upon gathering up this group of, say, bachelors as potential suitors would that need to be all at once with their knowledge of said decision making? Would it help to have some kind of favor system in place, say, giving carnations or another likened object to show affection as other potentials are sadly dismissed? That these men be exposed to different aspects of the, let us just refer to the lady as "bachlor-ette", to see how they react and response to one another given the scenario or "trial" put upon them? Forgive me, I know not how large a venue would have to be in order to conduct such a season of courtship, but is sounds like something a lot of women complain about in the city as they would put it "finding a good man". Plus I want to help out my friend after her sad break up. She deserves a family and children of her own. Any advice on how to coerce her into said plan? I do not think arson will work in this case; she is not a fan of that. Thank you for your advice as always, Jancis -
I'm sorry lovely people in Europe and Asia, it is not friendly times. I wanted to be as unimposing with a first event as possible. Monday/Tuesday are fairly PvE for a lot of people I know, Friday and Saturday are pretty popular with FC events typically. With the people who responded to star in the event and their availability and my ideal days being Sunday and Wednesday based off of typical 'free days' for a short event, but with the convention the following weekend the time fell "best" into the late Sunday/early Monday spot. If the event works out there are more of the Twelve to replicate the experience with new guests and a different time slot. Still, big apologizes. I will do my best to get a good log and lots of pictures of the event!
