Eh, since Kell isn't super familiar with Eorzea yet I decided to give him some standard stuff like being put on the spot.

How do people view the fighting on the Carteneau Flats?
Kellach Woods replied to LiveVoltage's topic in RP Discussion
This begs more interesting questions! 1) Would there be an investigation if someone was killed on the flats? 2) Would the person who has a confirmed actual kill on the flats be blamed? Rewarded? 3) How do you determine what was an accident and what was intentional? -
Would you take an anime-esque character seriously?

The least upheld rule in the game. And by 'least' I really mean 'not upheld at all'. The reason it's not upheld is that, essentially, they need active reports in order to do anything, and nobody really cares. Anyone who comes from a superhero MMO background knows the deal since even there, that rule was only enforced if you reported. Yes, it's a giant system of snitching. -

More importantly, just means you might have to change it anyway. However, the people here are less zealous about reporting clones than in CoH/CO, so... yeah. -

sounds like you played too much SO3 and you're trying too hard. Honestly, I'd advise against making an obvious reference. Just keep the FT initials and make a name based off of that would be my advice. -

That's why I specified the name in my 3 line thing. 'cause then you're not inspired, you're just copying. -

Well, she could be, if she was a thaumaturge Also, I'd be hella hypocritical if I were to criticize you on being inspired by this because of the following lines in my wiki that I forgot I tossed in there : The inspiration of making a fabulous character with the muscle tone slider up to 100 is definitely inspired by Hirohiko Araki's work on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Playing a bumbling country boy introduced to a new world is a trope often seen in storytelling, however the most recent portrayal that inspired me is Donnel from Fire Emblem : Awakening. -
Pretty much what I think. Are people not going to like Kellach due to his effeminate beefcake (as... beefy as a Midlander can get - which I admit isn't much) look? Yeah. I've actually been told as much in the Quicksand when I was experimenting with some looks. Am I going to care about it? Kind of a bit. It sucks to be dismissed instantly because someone makes assumptions, but I have found a kickass group to RP with so why should I let it bother me? Excuse me, I'll go cry in a corner about this very topic to invalidate everything else I've said.

November "confirmed"? I am okay with this.

I am normally a chill person who will say do whatever you want. If you want a magical girl character, go right ahead. If you want a magical girl character that is a callback to a specific one, with your own twist on it, go right ahead. If you want to play the very same character? No, and that's where I draw the line. I won't RP with Miq'o Kanji Tatsumi, why would I RP with that? -
Honestly I find that a lot of the clichés become tiring when you have a gigantic portion of the population who just happen to REALLY be into that and do it. I have it on good authority that if you just do your own thing people will be like "oh you not you because you're awesome but the rest of those are bad!"
-
this is looking like "Berrod calls himself a giant hot hunky cliché, the thread." since the necro. * * * I'd even go as far as to say "Miqo'tes in general". Cat people where, cat people errywhere. However that's not a cliché that's just player preferences. Kind of like I always roll at least one Human/Hyur because everyone else thinks they're boring. I don't think I've seen the camp dudes in this game. Unless you're going by looks instead of actual RP in that case I rolled one as my main.

On this, I don't agree... for 2.4 If they're adding a couple of plots per patch until they stop selling within 10 mins, then yeah, sure. However, the numbers don't add up otherwise.
-
Personally I'll do whatever if the story's good.
-
Many people have RPed it differently. I don't think any one interpretation is more wrong than the other. However, I don't personally agree with the Fantasia being used in this way. It's usage seems purely cosmetic - it wouldn't heal a destroyed/cut off limb.

Saying that they don't count because nobody whined about it doesn't make them not count - It's a perk you like, not a necessary perk. And that's what a FC perk should be. It's a bonus for being with a like-minded group of wonderful individuals rather than something that is absolutely necessary. If they plan on doing more with Chocobos you can guarantee you'll need a FC for it or drop a lot of gil on a plot. They just gave people who are allergic to FCs an alternate solution, albeit one that is extremely costly.
-
To be fair, having a house is in and of itself, vanity and you still need to work/pay for chocobo raising anyway. Making a grind behind the grind doesn't seem super productive in my opinion. I don't even know if there's money in gardening because I've never done it and I'll likely never get to do it anyway. Problem is mostly lack of plots rather than the prohibitive cost, especially since most people will now know that they need that kind of money on hand to participate, which is something that we didn't before. That, according to them, will get remedied in time.

and i thought i needed help. Really though, I just don't like that they locked certain cool game features behind it, and I think spreading these features out to non-housing would probably make housing much more of the status symbol they seek without making it feel necessary.

Theme song hijack. Dang it, the mudra requirement just knocked it off my DPS role for my Elezen.

"I wonder what I'll call you..." Kellach had just returned to Limsa Lominsa after a particularly trying day. His favorite white undershirt had been stained and was safely tucked away, leaving him completely shirtless. Behind him was a tiny little crab that had taken to following him for quite some time. He turned around, the crab stopped. It started using its pincers to bring in specs of food from the ground. Still, its eyes were planted firmly onto the effeminate large Hyur, almost pleading to get lifted in the sky. "You're so cute, I want to call you Cutie Pie, but with the people I'm with, you're likely to end up in one..." Still, he leaned down and grabbed the crab and brought it near his face. The crab, unsure of what was happening yet having already chosen to tie its amazing fate to an ordinary Hyur from off the continent, let itself be taken. In fact, it leaned forward a bit to nuzzle Kellach's nose. His eyes sparkled at how adorable this creature was, going against its very nature. Perhaps it was why he felt this much kinship with it. Both were not what they initially seemed. At least, to Kellach, crabs were... crabby, right? Or else no one would have came up with that term. With a warm smile, Kellach gently caressed the area between the crab's eyes. The crab, unsure of this gesture, raised a pincer to intercept but hesitated to pinch. Kellach withdrew his finger, but was still infatuated with the crab. "I know! I'll call you Pinchyshell! And you'll be the best thing that happened to me today other than not dying!"

Also doesn't take into account the server disparity between players. I'd wager, say, a lower pop realm compared to Balmung/Gilgamesh will have more plots available due to less people wanting them.

Hard/Extreme Shiva? Nice. Not too confident to tackle on Extreme stuff yet so... that's a welcome addition. New tomestone? Eeeh we'll see. New Hildibrand? Always welcome. NEW HARD MODES? AWWW YIISSSSS Really like that we can't roll instantly Rogue/Ninja - it cuts down on the alts I need to make.
-
Also forces people into FCs they may not actually want to join just to access these features. I'm sorry, person who keeps spamming my alt with FC invites and tells for that purpose, but no I do not want to associate with you.
