I don't really have a whole lot to add except to offer advice when making characters. I know people like to have their shy characters, but honestly, if you want to RP, you're going to have a hard time with a shy character. Build in some reasons for your character to get out there, even if you're not particularly social. It makes things a lot easier in the long run. But yes. Be proactive. Talk to people. Send people messages. Get involved. Get out of your comfort zone. It's not easy. But it's worth it. If you ever need advice or anything, we're always here to help.

As a mod, I really appreciate all of the feedback we're getting. My only bit of advice to people who are worried is to take a moment and step back from the keyboard if you're feeling particularly snarky. Seriously, that works wonders. Wait until you've calmed down, or think about what you're going to write...really think about it, before you post something.

It depends on whether she's craving something sweet or not. If she is, she'd go with a Lemon Curd. If not, just butter, and lots of it.

We did say that links in sigs can't be for promotion...like trying to sell something on another site or get people to sign up for things with referrals. I'm pretty sure that that's somewhere in this thread. Also...I don't...I can't... I don't even know where to begin with responding to your post, so I'm not going to. I'll let someone else handle it.

That sounds about right, Foxberry. We don't have time to sit there and read every post in every thread every day. If something comes up in the mod alerts, we read it, read the context, try to get a feel for it. Sometimes we don't do anything because sometimes it is people reading tone where there isn't any. Sometimes we move things and ask people to watch what they're typing. That's still going to stay the same. It's just now we'll be more consistent, and the asking people to watch, may come with a warning. At least that's how my modbrain sees it.

I've never seen The Godfather Series Anything by Stanley Kubrik other than The Shining The Graduate Psycho Scarface There are a lot more than that. Although I am shocked and appalled at how many of you have never seen The Princess Bride. I make my students watch it in Freshman Creative Writing. Best. Movie. Ever.
