The breathing and sometimes giggling of my students as I make them watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail. About half the class is amused. The other half is thoroughly confused.

So I'm nervous about a lot of things IRL. It's driving me crazy. I don't feel great and I'm anxious and I just need someone to build me a nest of blankets and let me curl up and sleep for a year or two. Yeah, that would be nice. Hugs will do as well.

But it is going to be a lot to deal with with a lot of people and a lot of character limits. At least if it was done here or in another sort of chat, like maybe a skype group (which is what we used for our old summits) it would be easier to keep track of things. Yeah....maybe a subforum devoted to just FC interaction and their rp.... *points at older posts from yesterday* And yes.,...I realize I am a smartass. If I had any ability to do those things, I would. Unfortunately, that needs to be brought up with Freelance and not harped on here. Hence why I've made suggestions as well.

Maybe a better option for this summit is to hold it here so that we have a written record of what was said, and so that people can go back and reference what the FCs do in one thread. *shrug* Just a suggestion so that we're not being constrained by the damned character limit in game.

That's really what the event forum is for. If people want to discuss plots and potential ideas, that's the perfect place to do it. I know that there are numerous threads in there where people have pitched ideas and gotten other FCs to pitch in. Just label it as [interest Check] or [Collaboration] so we can be aware of what the thread is for. If that doesn't work out, we can always look at perhaps making another subforum, but it might clutter up the front page some more. That would be up to Freelance.

Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, the RP community now is much better than it was back when I remember having summits before. You want to talk about a community that was polarizing and at each other's throats. Oi. Look, I know I'm not a speaker, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to sit back and let stuff go down that I think is going to be damaging to the community as a whole. I like to think that I don't really have a clique here, and that I'm pretty open to dealing with everyone. I know how to keep a cool head as a mod, and I'll help make sure that things don't go awry during the meeting as well, even if I'm just a participant. I also don't think that Freelance is going to let people steamroll the conversation or any of that either. He's there to represent his FC first and foremost, but if you want to entrust someone like him to be a Speaker, you have to trust in his ability to maintain a level head during discussion as well. All of this speculating what is going to go wrong during the meeting is a mute point right now. We don't know how it's going to go. This is a completely new dynamic from the one that we had back in 1.0, so it's going to be different. All that we ask is that you have some faith in the people of this community. This game and community wouldn't have lasted as long as it has if it were comprised entirely of drama mongers. Believe you me, I've been on RP hubs where that happens ALL THE TIME. Sure, discussions here turn heated, and people lose it a little bit, but we all overcome it and get over it pretty quickly. I don't know, I feel like I'm probably just ranting now, but there's no sense in being overly pessimistic about the whole event already.

Aly reads a lot. Mostly romance novels. If Khale is working late, she makes a little nest out of her blankets and burrows. I envision her pink ears poking out and not much else. (should probably get this drawn now that I'm thinking about it.) Sometimes she takes stray blotting paper and folds them into flowers and such.

It would be a tough decision for Alothia. She'd want to bring Khale, of course, but if we're going long term and people whose company she enjoys for extended periods, I'd say she'd bring Lily Dawnsworn. While Lily is a bit of a dry personality, she'd be great for survival...Lily would be the one to make sure that Alothia survived. Plus, Alothia could totally cuddle with Lily just to make Lily uncomfortable. BrOTP 5ever.

I really like the way that this reads. It's an interesting spin on the fresh face look that you were going for, and it fits to lore. I agree with staying away from the subjective judgements, not that they can't be true, but just make sure that you play her that way so that people will actually think that of her.

As someone who attended numerous summits during 1.0, I can assure you that these things are usually harmless. Often times, it's simply a "hey, for those of you who don't know who we are and what we do, here it is. If you have any questions, let us know." And then there's a period of "So, is anyone noticing __________" in game and if so then, "What can we as leaders and members do about it." with a little bit of "Anyone have any idea for any cross FC plots we could get involved in" thrown in for good measure. I will be one of the first people to put my foot down if it turns into anything nefarious. I'm a leader of a really small FC, and I don't let anyone overpower or talk over me, regardless of how "big" we are.

Mirajane from Fairy Tale

I get up at 6:00 am EST and go to work. I'm usually here until about 3:00pm EST. Then, I go home, take a nap for a couple of hours, get up, RP and play XIV. I try to go to bed between 11pm and 1am EST, then get up and do it all over again. But yes, I'm tired. And no, I don't regret it.
