I'm just going to start by saying: I've enjoyed my time on the 'mung. I mean, obviously, right? I've been here since it was Besaid. I may even transfer my main back, eventually, along with my RL friends who just started playing if the transfer ban is ever lifted. (As I am currently not roleplaying him.) Even so, I think this is an awfully entitled position to hold. Players on other servers, especially those who have never even been on Balmung, are not obligated to provide "support" to Balmung's community on this website or elsewhere, nor should they be expected to cough up $18 on top of their subscription fees to transfer to the 'mung, even supposing SE gets around to actually cleaning house and lifts their travel ban. And honestly, after having explored a few different servers on my own and comparing them to Balmung, I feel that roleplayers who wish to enjoy other aspects of the game (read: want to own a house without paying ungodly sums of gil on the secondhand market) might be better served by going to Mateus, or Faerie, or whatever lower population server they find best suits their needs. And if they end up liking it there - stay, but be proactive and use this website for their benefit and that of their home server. Be a positive force, and don't fall into the trap of forming a rivalry with Balmung or whatever other servers might have RP communities. Fueling a growing community with bitter feelings only serves to attract embittered players, and take it from a certain vocal segment of Gilgamesh: you don't want that.

Because every community is a revolving door. Veterans leave for whatever reason, new people subscribe, and the first thing those new people will see is a great big sign that says "Official Role-Playing Server." The majority of people interested in that activity are going to go there, probably without putting any effort into a Google search to find this website. Without that revolving door, over time, communities stagnate. That's why. Majority of RPers are already aware Balmung is the biggest RP server though? I am a bit hesitant to believe that this is a well-known fact to potential role-players who haven't even started playing the game yet, which was my point. (And even if they are aware of it, they can no longer create or transfer a character here anyway.) At any rate, this is all hypothetical because I haven't seen anything indicating SE has any interest whatsoever in designating an official anything and the community on Balmung is currently quite healthy as far as I can tell as someone who's just come back from a one year hiatus.

Before receiving status of nobility, the family was renowned as breeders of rather exceptional chocobos, a tradition that has made the house quite wealthy as it continued into the present day. Included Races: Wildwood Elezen. Members: Ser Percevains Navarre - The newly-invested lord of House Navarre. Previously disgraced on charges of heresy after the discovery of a draconian rosary among his belongings, he and a band of retainers fled to the tundra, eventually forming a small resistance against his step-father, Chatelaine. Though Chatelaine was slain under mysterious circumstances, Percevains' name was cleared both by the revelation that Chatelaine, not Percevains, was the owner of the pendant that and by Yvelont's confession to his murder. Despite this, there remains much uncertainty among the other vassals surrounding Percevains' tumultuous succession to head of the Navarre household. This puts the young lord in a precarious position regarding his brother, as any attempt to push for his pardon might arouse suspicion of collusion. Yvelont Navarre - Former knight-errant of House Fortemps, previously believed to be deceased. However, his death was staged as part of a plan to assassinate his step-father, Chatelaine, which ultimately succeeded. His confession cleared the names of Percevains and Lady Arillaine, whereupon he turned himself in for his crime. Denying any involvement on his brother's part, he was taken into custody and currently awaits trial. Lady Arillaine Navarre - Mother of Percevains and Yvelont, framed by the latter for the murder of her late husband, Chatelaine. Though Yvelont's confession has cleared her own name in the eyes of the law, she remains conflicted by her son's choice to turn himself in. I liked the Heir to the Empire trilogy and roughly half of the X-Wing books series. Everything else in the EU besides KotOR 1 and 2 can go kick rocks. This, however, looks amazing. Haters be damned, Star Wars is in good hands.

The FFXII love in this thread makes me happy. <3 I have mixed feelings about the "HD remaster" trend lately, but I would shamelessly doubledip for FF12 on PS4. More on topic, I'm still excited for FFXV but the Platinum demo left a lot to be desired. I spent a lot more time and had more fun with the Episode Duscae demo. I wish they'd make that one available to everyone who didn't buy Type-0, with the combat tweaks in Platinum for comparison's sake.

Absolutely agree that the current English VA's greatly outclass 2.0's. I do understand why some people would rather stick to the Japanese voice acting. I prefer English in this case for the same reason I prefer it for something like Record of Lodoss War: I feel it better suits the world it's meant to present, given its predominantly Western influences. In a hypothetical Sengoku-inspired MMO or a more blatantly hodge-podge East-meets-West setting my preference would be Japanese with subtitles.

Hall of Novices tank gear looks surprisingly good! I might even glamour it.
