  1. Yeah, I did something similar and felt bad that I have this maid outfit I can't use. Would've loved to have given the code to someone else, had I been smart enough to realize that was something I could do.
  2. If you want just generally friendly and open, you can't go too wrong with Chachan. He loves having friends. And his girlfriend is pretty friendly too, so that's like a 2-for-1 package right there!
  3. Well, the level 50 Magitek healer helmet has a swivel goggle-piece, so they definitely can have attachments. Though, whether that's just a magnifier like a jewelcutter or something or some more advanced piece of tech, it's hard to say. I don't recall seeing any camera angles from a Garlean's PoV that imply they have any advanced targeting systems or any manner of HUD - but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. We just don't really know - leaving it a grey area once can play with. I mean, I was using the Alexander MNK/DRG headpiece's visor as having a Kindle-esque HUD that displayed text in a couple RP fights. Granted, I haven't done any of that on that particular character in a while now.
  4. It's obviously green for St. Patrick's Day!
  5. It's a bit of a ways off, but if you like the techno-machine-y sort of stuff, once you hit Heavensward (which is at level 50+, yeah, a ways off) there's a class called the Machinist that uses guns and little floaty turrets and stuff. You might've seen a couple around already. But yeah, might like that, I think. Not that you have to have it unlocked to RP as someone who tinkers with machines and airships and the like! Just a fun suggestion.
  6. Not gonna lie, it took me a moment to register those as bottles, even with the quote. For some reason, I initially saw them as some manner of simplified little people silhouettes, like he stumbled across the Eorzean equivalent of Lilliput (Joke Answer: the Lalafellin homelands) and they're all crowded around wondering where the hell this large unconscious Garlean came from.
  7. If it helps, a lot of the Au Ra of both types that have come to Eorzea and there because they were fleeing from Othard due to the actions of the Garleans. So, if you need something for your hero to be vengeful against - the Garlemald's a good fallback. Also, there's two (I think?) Xaela tribes that are usually in conflict and one that is basically just mean to the rest, so there's that option if you don't want to go the Anti-Empire route. Of course, being deposed could also provide a reason why your character is wandering for peaceful reasons. You've been uprooted from your homeland, so now you're just trying to find that little piece of your own again in Eorzea - perhaps a spot that reminds you most of home, or maybe even one that is as least like it as possible to avoid having those bittersweet memories always at the forefront of your mind.
  8. As an addendum, adding it to your character info block might help too. One of my characters uses a cane quite regularly to walk around. I emote when he's using it now and then, but I also have it there so people who glance at it will know. It's something I've seen used pretty frequently to describe things about the character that might be off-model (taller than normal, different kind of eyes, etc).
  9. I think the thing to keep in mind here is that the RPC generally cleaves to a lower level of power/influence for their characters. It also does not speak for the entirety of Balmung, as it itself is but a small section of it. So, most of the suggestions being provided are more to turn the character more towards the type of character that they would be willing to interact and RP with. However - and I do kind of hate that it's such a lazy fallback term - it is your character and you are free to do what you want with it. And, fortunately, Balmung is populous enough that you'll likely find someone who is willing to RP with your deposed Princess, but it might take a bit of searching and effort to find those sorts of people. The proffered ideas are simply to help make her more... approachable and more engaging to a wider group of people - or so I'd like to think the suggestions are at their heart. They're just offering ways to tweak your character to be able to more... evenly interact with a wider range of players and lighten that burden of trying to find that niche (or failing to do so, as many "I can't find RP" threads seem to attest to). In the end, the more fantastical the character, the less folks around here are going to like them. Not due to disliking you or your character, but more the simple fact that characters like that tend to... dominate a scene if they're not alongside characters of a similar power/influence level. And there are very few princesses and other high-level movers and shakers among a majority of the RPC regulars. Most of us are shop owners and foot-soldiers and ruffians and thieves. Maybe some minor nobles thrown in here and there, and a few that might be skilled fighters or casters... but the power/influence bar is pretty low around here. ... Sorry if I'm being rambly, I'm trying to tweak what I'm saying to be more... clear-cut but I tend to go on tangents.
  10. Maybe you were expecting something... bedder? :cactuar:
  11. You continue to impress with constantly giving out this stuff. 1. Mogstore Credit 2. Tier 4 Aquarium 3. Bismarck Weapon (will have to see which one I like the most!)
  12. Do you think that was hinting at what the RDM Limit Break might be? Since I'd assume it's going to be an AoE one and not single target or line.
  13. It's not an FC, but I there IS a Sultansworn Linkshell called Sultanswarm that has been... well, pretty quiet as of late. I have a character in it, but there hasn't been much chatter so I don't know how alive it is - might be worth looking into, though?
  14. Sounsyy, our resident loremaster, likely has the most information regarding Sky Pirates... but most of what we know is actually more or less self-contained within the whole Void Ark raid trio. You end up working with (and a little against) various Sky Pirates. From what I remember (which may not be much), there's a couple types of Sky Pirates. Those who are using the recent surge of relatively easy-to-obtain airships to seek out thrills and adventures in the wild blue yonder, and those who are seeking personal profit. Much like regular pirates, I suppose. And, like pirates, some seem to have some manner of code (I vaguely remember something about not stealing from certain types of people, but I could just be recalling the Thief sidequest in Bravely Second) while others the code is little beyond "the captain's word is law." So, while there isn't a lot explicitly stated in lore... that leaves a lot of gray area to play around with. And you're not forced by lore to play your sky pirate any particular way. Even whether you've a whole airship and crew or just a rowdy little band that uses Manacutters.
  15. Then I think it's a matter of which one you would expect her to be wearing more often and for longer periods of time. I just went with the more combat-looking one because most folks glamour over their usual combat gear... and then keep the other outfits saved for just general RP use since you're likely not going to be doing any actual combat (or, at least, that's how I tend to do it). However, if you don't want to be switching to your RP gear every time you get into an RP situation, maybe having the more casual as your glamour would be beneficial? I dunno.
  16. Or you could also ask the people in the FC itself - the ones still around. While it could end up being hug-box-y and echo-chamber-y... if your FC is set up where people are able and willing to provide critique on how the FC is run, I'm sure they would tell you. Though, I would also hope that if there were concerns they might have already raised them in a polite manner - though I can understand why they wouldn't, due to nerves or not wanting to "rock the boat."
  17. Chachanji Gegenji You defeat the Pacifistic Smith (You cruel, cruel person you). - You obtain 5 Iron Bars - You obtain 3 Steel Bars - You obtain 1 Cobalt Bar - You obtain 5 Blue Crafter's Scripts Gogonji Gegenji You defeat the Megalomaniacal Strategist. - You obtain 1 Contemporary Warfare: Defense - You obtain 1 Contemporary Warfare: Offense - You obtain 1 Contemporary Warfare: Magicks Judge Jredthys You defeat the Towering Judgemaster. - You obtain 15 Yellow Cards - You obtain 5 Red Cards - You obtain 2 Vials of Salamander Oil
  18. I think it's a matter of how important the WoL is to the people in general, and if they would riot should he (using the Derplander as the default for gender considerations here) be put up on the chopping block. However, and it's been a while since I saw the events of 2.55, I think at that point in the story is when the WoL is supposedly at his "lowest." Which could also means folks may not think as highly of him since they could be buying into Teledji's claims. So, less likely there would be riots against the execution. They might still happen, sure, but it would've been far less likely. More of a "he used to be so great, then he killed the Sultana!" sort of situation. So, I don't think there would've been an Eorzean war over the WoL being killed. Outcries and spots of outrage, sure, but I don't think there would've been a war over it. Then again, that isn't what happened, so we will never know for certain.
  19. Also, I would think the Rejoining would be a mostly selfish act of the Ascians. After all, they're seeking to revive THEIR god and THEY will survive the Rejoinings just fine. Everything ELSE dies, but they get to stick around and get what they want, so it's all good for them? So yeah. Even if the Rejoining causes an eternal paradise, the only ones who would get to see it and benefit from it are the Ascians. Maybe if they were seeking to make it so more people could also survive and see their New World, it might be a bit more nebulous and gray-morality. As it is? Selfish, bad thing.
  20. Can I mention one of the reasons I like B is because it's red? For RDM? Also, just as a thing I'd like to throw out - just because you use one for your "main" glamour doesn't mean you can't keep the second set saved as a secondary RP outfit. So, for example, Option B could be your combat outfit - what your character is wearing when they're actually prepping for battle and the like. Meanwhile, Option A might be her more... common wear - what she is usually wearing when she's out and about and not really expecting a fight.
  21. I was actually kind of wondering if the Midnight Moogle tavern was gonna come back or not. Good luck with that!
  22. I had a feeling, and I was not disappointed.
  23. Feel free to reach out to me, since I haven't seen you about quite yet. Of course, I may often be wasting time on his older brother Gogonji doing tedious PvE stuff like light-grinding for his anima. Anyone interested in RPing with me, please feel free to reach out to me on either character. As mentioned, what I'm usually doing on Gogon is just to kill time, so I can switch right over for more RP-related stuff! ... Also, I've added a new section in the OP regarding Chachan's smithing capabilities. I didn't set hard skill levels, but more what he is capable and (perhaps more importantly) willing to make in a more general sense of the term. I hope it helps!
  24. While you say she isn't Yuna, it does seem she is at least taking some inspiration from her - if not in the looks department, then in the idea of her being a Summoner/White Mage. Which isn't a bad thing, mind you, it's not wrong to take ideas and mash them with your own to make something new. The big thing to keep in mind is having a reason behind it beyond "the inspiration also is that." As such, I have a simple question for you: Why would she need to become a White Mage/Summoner? Putting aside that current White Mages are mostly the Padjali of Gridania and the Warrior of Light (because of his special snowflake-ness), what does it add to your character? Does she NEED to be a White Mage, or a Summoner, or even have any sort of combat ability at all? I know mechanically you "have" to have a combat class in the game, but in RP... it really isn't needed unless you want to have a combat-heavy character. And, as it has been kind of alluded to, she is apparently pretty heavy on skills as it is. The weaving and goldsmithing flow narratively - it's what her parents did and she learned and honed those skills from taking over their shop after they disappeared. But where is the sudden talent for conjury and ancient arcanima coming from? Looking at it, I might have a bit of a solution? If you absolutely want healing and "summoning" as a sort of combat kit for your character (which, again, isn't really required)... perhaps look into the Scholar? It's a healing class with a summonable ally in the Fairy. Plus, you might have a bit of a story hook as to how your character would stumble across that in Byron. Nymian Scholars were also the nation's tacticians - and were part of why the much smaller nation was able to keep up with the powerful nations of Mhach and Amdapor. A small island nation dealing with a superior enemy force? Sounds like something the tactician of a small island nation under assault from the Garleans would want to know about! The three of them head out to the Nymian ruins, plot happens, and Yuuna ends up with the necessary soul crystal (and accompanying Fairy) to start her on that path. If you really want to play with the lore of Nym and information brought on in the Job quests - perhaps Byron could end up being more of a Nymian Marine like the quest giver in the SCH chain does. Or, if you want to go truly off the rails some... why do you have to define your character to an existent class and/or job (single or combination). I have a character who is a Judgemaster - I use the DRK job as a "placeholder" - but he's really just a big guy who uses a big sword and yells about rules a lot. No actual Darkside stuff or anything. So, maybe Yuuna could be... (if you have to assign a name to the "profession") a Princess class, taking inspiration from the original Final Fantasy Tactics. So she knows a few special techniques taught to the leaders of her people. Healing and supportive abilities. Then that could tie into her being "chosen" as leader of her nation - the ball is a pretense to gauge who among them has the best natural ability to learn these special techniques. And then the "actual" leading is likely done by those who aid her - such as Byron and Keiki, in this case - while she serves as a sort of symbolic figurehead and retains the special techniques of their nation. That way, she has the skills she has learned (Weaving/Goldsmithing) and an innate talent perhaps unique to her people (the "Princess" ability) that they'd want to protect, puts the success of her nation on her staff rather than a young girl somehow also being an amazing leader... and it all flows a bit better than saying she's somehow also able to learn ancient Amdaporian and Allagan magics. I'd also ask why she has to be a Hyur who became an Au Ra rather than just being an Au Ra to begin with... or perhaps one disguised (perhaps poorly, due to the haste of escape) as the other. Yugiri tried to pass herself off as a non-Au Ra for a while, after all. Just thoughts.
  25. ... Freshly picked fruits and vegetables, with a faint touch of whatever baskets they're in? Wood or wicker or something?
