  1. People can be selfish, it's as simple as that, I've learned.
  2. Glancing through my screen shots folder I find a lot of forgotten ones, like the time I managed to lure out the elusive GM-creatures.
  3. Welcome aboard, glad to have you with us! Should you be hankerin' for any roleplay, don't be afraid to hit me up, I'm very patient and friendly, not to mention more than willing to show you the ropes! I know you've mentioned you feel as though at times you're a bit of an outcast, but should you feel you're in need of a chatty, friendly, and helpful "looking for roleplay" linkshell, I'm a leader of The Tavern and can toss you an invite if you'd like to give it a chance! The folks in it are just lovely.
  4. So much this. I loved talking to the party in camp and giving them gifts which sometimes lead to special cut scenes in DA:O. I like DA:I and have really enjoyed watching the evolution of Cullen but Alistair will always have my heart. I have enjoyed the multiplayer aspect though I got bored after unlocking the classes I was interested in. Yesss! Alistair was always my favourite as well ahha no character since really compares, in my mind. I've yet to fiddle around with multi-player, but now that I'm reminded I can, I totally will!
  5. Augh, very appreciated! Unfortunately, I've just come home rather late tonight, but I have off all day tomorrow so I'll poke you then if you'd like! Thank you so much! Yeah, the only reason they drag the dragon back now is because so many people ignore instructions, refuse to communicate and/or read, and then wipe the group because they kill the skeletons on the spot. It says something really, really bad about most PUGs that they need to do that.
  6. *Rubs face and sighs* I'll keep this short since I'm so groggy and tired. First time I did Ultima's Weapon, we had a group with a tank who would do nothing but cuss out and freak out at the healers. That was pretty ridiculous. We ended up kicking him for harassment, but his little dragoon friend was still in the group so she trolled us all by train-pulling the boss so we died over and over again. After asking if she was his friend and she said "damn right bitches" we realised she actually responds when provoked so the third time we wiped we called her an angry neckbeard so she'd pause to retaliate and used the seconds given to kick her for harassment too. At the very end we ran out of time on the encounter and got forced out. This time, we had two tanks who made a point of standing in Titan's meteor at the very beginning of the fight every single time. Also had three other dps who ate every single aoe that was thrown down. Two bards, neither of them could figure out how to put on their dots. We had to scream at them to with sound effects. They were always the first to die and finally we had ONE of them putting on his dots so we kicked the other as afk since he was standing in every single aoe never dotting... might've even been a bot, who knows, but he really wasn't listening to anyone or moving so much as a single inch. The healers also didn't prioritise the tanks, always trying to heal the dps who stood in bad... and then we found out that one of them didn't even have Swiftcast, so when they let the tanks die, there was nothing we could do... the one without Swiftcast got really angry when we pointed out she really needed it or she was making the other healer have to carry her slack when the tank died. We abandoned that sinking ship pretty quickly. T-T I don't know if I'll ever get a successful Ultima's Bane at this point, to be honest. And then the third, just.... faaaaack, those pretty things on the ground are not for standing in! >
  7. Huzzah, more new folks! Welcome aboard, so glad to have you with us!
  8. I think probably the most important thing to first designate when figuring out what to do with your miqo'te would be, why is he a nuhn but not with his tribe? I've seen very, very creative reasons in the past, but as this is unmentioned, I think it should really be explained! Everything else sounds fine so far as well.
  9. In the next expansion we'll actually have access to the Machinist class, so it's most certainly possible! If you want him to have a lot of know-how with technology, I imagine that'd be perfect
  10. I would think the bset way to flawlessly and lore-friendily work the name into the universe would be to say that it's the code name or alias the character goes by - perhaps "Technic" because of their love for technology or frequent use of such, and "Foxtale" for how their tail appears like that of a fox's. That's really the best advice I can offer here. :B
  11. Garuda Normal - One or more new players Me: Okay guys, anyone need this explained? Bard: No Tank runs ahead and pulls boss Healer stands in the middle of all of the rocks, I'm getting PTSD flashbacks of runs gone wrong Me: Don't stand in the middle of the rocks, when Garuda hits you she'll damage them too Doesn't move Barely survive her blowing up the rocks, but survive nonetheless Doing absolutely fantastic until we get to the part where Garuda jumps in the middle during the purple vortex phase and you need to run behind her to avoid her cone attack Naturally, the tank stayed in her face and ate it, dying instantly Healer rezzes the tank with Swiftcast + Raise, but alas, can't keep up with Garuda's AOEs and we wipe Me: Hey guys, gotta stand behind Garuda when she jumps in the middle like that next time or we'll die Scholar: okay, sry, it's my first time Me: Np, doing great so far Me: And try not to stand by the rocks, the more health they have the less health we lose when she blows them up Scholar: oh okay sry Bard: Stand by me Scholar Tank pulls when we're talking We catch up, do fine until she does her 75% health jump and AOE, the very first, and healer catches it with her face and we wipe I ready check; round three Fight goes on absolutely perfectly until we get to the purple vortex phase and the Scholar is keeping Cleric Stance on, panic starts when we're dipping below 40% health and the only effective heals going out is from Eos Tank stands in bad again, of course Me: Turn off Cleric Stance when you heal We're steadily dipping into 20% and 30% health zones Me: TURN OFF CLERICSTANCE Lose the bard, lose the healer, I'm panic-buttoning Perfect Dodge and Featherfoot before Limit Breaking Barely kill her Scholar: thanks guys Me: Turn off Cleric Stance when you heal. Scholar: oops I left so god damn fast so I wouldn't find myself going into capslocks spamming "READ YOUR DAMN CHAT BOX" aauufghghrghhfghfgh the nerd rage is real
  12. So disappointed that you can't idly talk to your partymates while in camp or just idly running around like you could in Dragon Age: Origins :c But I suppose I'll live. Just came across that big-ass yellow dragon, nearly cried when it set me on fire. Ran away like a sissy, came back, got set on fire again, followed by another tactical retreat, then came back to poke the dragon until it ate me in about two bitefuls. Owwie.
  13. Actually, I have a 50 WHM I can help you on! Only problem is I'm generally quite busy on weekends, but if you catch me online and not occupied (Atoli Taira) I can totally help drag you through queues!
  14. Mnn, I've seen someone try to roleplay an Ascian before, but.... let's just say I ran away when I heard they had bodyguards hired to protect their virginity... That being said, I'm sure its very possible to pull it off tactfully and interestingly, its just so rare to come across! (I'm thinking it'd be far more appropriate for antagonistic story arcs than, say, slice-of-life roleplay) Edit: After seeing the lore splurges from Sounsyy, I'm quickly shaking my head and agreeing that since there's only 13 established and two within our world, these probably should be totally avoided :B
  15. Augh, yes, this. And just generally abandoning ANYTHING after a single wipe. Goodness, if they're that impatient and willing to throw everything away at everyone else's expense, leave! With that attitude they deserve the half hour wait time afterwards.
  16. Edit: For some reason I thought this was like the PUG group rant thread. IIIII'm gonna skedaddle out of here, my reading comprehension's out of whack today. :'D that'sembarassingI'msorryKage

    Hello!

Welcome to the RPC! I like what I hear of your character's story you've written; if you're ever in need of help (be it dungeon queues, tough fights, explanations, or otherwise) or roleplay don't be afraid to hit me up in game or through the forums!
  18. Nah, I didn't think they were race specific, I thought there were four different ones and specifically for the gender. Wasn't looking closely enough, that's what I get for not wearing my glasses.
  19. Oh! I see what's going on with the hair styles now! For some reason I thought there were four separate styles. Jeeze, I need to wake up more. Well, this makes me very happy because I've wanted to see a universal short hair style available for all races and genders for a while now. Midlander females finally get short hair!
  20. *Leans in close* is... is that a short hairstyle for all females in that second one? please tell me yes I can't tell if the lalafell is male or female hrrnnghplassdfsdf
  21. Hey Nhia! I didn't see you online when I was tossing out invites at first, so if you see Garryson, Aireiel, or myself online when you are, feel free to hit us up and we can get you in! Edit: Ooo, my 100th post.
  22. ... Yep. This is just more motivation for me to get Atoli to 50 on Bard or Ninja. The question is, which one first? :c I'm so excited I can't decide!
