We open our doors again tomorrow night, folks! What do we have planned? Well, I'm glad you asked! With all the fancy swimsuits the Moonfaire Faire has offered, we had clothing on the brain, and have decided to hold... [align=center]A fashion contest![/align] No particular theme so you're free to be as creative as you like. We'll have one category for men and another for women, and then you, our wonderful patrons, will decide upon the winners! The bar opens as normal at 19.00 BST (GMT+1) and then the contest will begin at around an hour later. We'll make an announcement, as per usual, just before we get things started. Start rummaging through your armoires and wardrobes and show us who's the best dressed in Costa!

I've never really played a rogue or a thief before, so I thought I'd give one a go.

Hey there, welcome to Balmung! I'd suggest checking out the European Directory firstly for EU-friendly events, linkshells and FCs. There's also some events that are aimed more at NA players but not at too late an hour for us, if you keep an eye on the calendar. Lastly, my FC is always at the Missing Member in Limsa at 7 or 8 pm UK on Mondays for casual tavern RP. Hope that helps!

I second that! I love the beach in general, and Costa in particular, and wanted a beach themed evening. There wasn't anything going on there at the moment so Kilid and I set up our own. It takes work to get it off the ground but it's also a lot of fun and very rewarding.

As our six month anniversary (Twelve, has it been that long already?!) for the Sunny Seaside Bar, we're going to ask you to break out your steaks, kebabs and fish fillets for a delectable beach BBQ contest this Saturday! We open the bar at 19.00 BST (GMT+1) as usual and then a bell later we'll head on down to the campfire at the beach to let those of you willing show off your culinary skills. We'll provide the meat, vegetables and grilling fire whilst you bring your tastiest recipes and prepare your dishes for our lovely patrons, who will ultimately cast their vote for best dish!* The winner will, as ever, be the proud recipient of Something Nice™ as well as free drinks for the rest of the evening. Hope to see you there! * Recipes will be purely IC and it's up to your wonderfully creative minds to come up with something that will knock the socks off our guests. Those who partake of a taste will then be asked to vote via whisper to Inarah, who will tally them up and declare the winner.

We've kept busy the past moon or so, settling in our latest wave of initiates to the Jackal pack, and now we're opening our doors to recruitment once more! If you're interested in joining a ragtag bunch of lunatics perfectly normal people for fun, adventure and of course some sweet, sweet gil, fill out an application and we'll be in touch. But enough about that! What have we been up to, you undoubtedly ask, with bated breath? Last Friday, Fejika had a job for the Jackals that ended in goblin murder and explosions which nearly took out Fejika herself and two of our crew. Luckily for the injured three, their recovery has come along nicely, but we doubt this is the last we've heard from the mysterious villains who caused all the trouble. Last Saturday we opened the Sunny Seaside Bar again and had the first inter-FC dodgeball match! Nailah's Kindred put up a good fight but the rolls were with the Jackals for once and we stood triumphant. [align=center][/align] Monday was another night at the Missing Member, with 100% more cake than last time. Aeron will attest to how amazing it was, seeing as he ate nearly half of it all to himself. Finally, just yesterday we travelled to some ruins in the North Shroud to decipher more riddles and discover the secrets of the Jade Chocobo. [align=center][/align] This week, we hit up the Missing Member again tonight and then on Saturday the bar is once more ready for customers, with rumours of a cooking contest in the works for entertainment. My FC almost exclusively RPs in La Noscea since we're based there. We meet up every Monday at the Missing Member and the general public is welcome to join us! We also host a bar night every two weeks just outside Costa del Sol. Might not be at very convenient times for NA players but just pointing out that there is RP outside of Ul'dah already. If you want to see more of it, put yourself out there or get in touch with people who advertise themselves as RPing in other areas.

I rarely run into rude people in this game but I have bad memories from WoW so I feel nervous doing dungeons sometimes, even as dps. If a melee LB is mandatory, for example, oh man haha. Chrysalis had me in a cold sweat the first time I did it and everyone said it was down to me to LB the tear. I didn't even know what the tear looked like! There's also that niggling worry whether my dps is up to par. Anyway, you're not alone in feeling nervous but, if you enjoy the role, I'd say keep doing it and turn off party chat. Or get friends to go with you.
