Ew, I won't touch SWTOR with a ten foot pole. A F2P MMO experience is not what I'm looking for at all. Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter are also not what I want. The "multiplayer option" in DA:I that you mention is tacked on and horrid and offers nothing of the RPG experience of the actual game. You don't even get to use your own character. It is so far from the heart of the game, it's almost insulting you'd suggest that as a legitimate option for someone wanting the story in co-op mode. I disagree completely that DA would crumble if its story involved more than one character. I mean look - you already run around with other characters. It is NOT that hard to make one of those another player. The whole argument against it stinks. Move on to a different game? Sorry, but having a co-op campaign isn't going to sully your precious single-player experience. You don't want to do it? Then you choose not to do it. They don't have to replicate the same freedom. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a particular character take the main helm. TO be quite honest, I don't know why you're being so snippy with people who took time and tried to give you suggestions that you might enjoy. We were just trying to help. And honestly NwN and Baldur's Gate were EXACTLY what you were looking for since it's a co-op campaign that you can both make characters in and do every quest together as you would as a solo player. Also, SWTOR is a good game. I only play it when I sub because I don't like the restrictions. It may not be exactly what you were looking for, but Dragon Age isn't co op storyline and there's nothing any of us can do about it . I'm sorry you didn't like the suggestions, but you didn't have to be so sassy about it lol. If you don't have anything nice to say, probably best not to say anything at all because it just came off as REALLY rude to the people in this thread..

Probably something like this:

--more stuff-- I am definitely with Kilborne on this. The game is meant to be played by one person. The storyling is meant to only support ONE "hero". I think trying to force a co-op option would damage the integrity of what the original story was meant to be. DA:I does, however, offer a multiplayer option that is separate from the single player campaign. I also hear it's quite fun. Also >.> you can't compare Diablo to Dragon Age.. At all.. They're not even the same genre of game . Co op doesn't hurt Diablo's narrative because the story is extremely light in those games. Dragon Age games, however, have a story entirely built around a singular hero person. The ONE savior of "X" calamity. I agree that your ideal game experience would be "awesome" but it simply isn't this game. If you want that sort of experience, SWTOR is honestly your best bet since others can pick dialogue too. OR, the closest thing to what you want to do could be achieved via Baldur's Gate: EE or the Neverwinter Nights series. In these games you can host the campaign, locally or online, and you each can make characters and essentially experience the campaign in the same world at the same time, doing the same quests with the same NPCs yadda yadda dooda dada. TL;DR if that is the experience you want, Dragon Age won't provide it. Just move on to a different game that migh lol.

*flexxx* Yesss Highlanders are the pinnacle of aesthetics. Hee hee, in all seriousness this is the same attitude Amelia and her brother have about other people. I think IC "racism" can be a great avenue of conflict to keep things interesting. As a personal opinion, I think interracial couples obviously happen, but I think you would still many folkyfolk that have a 1950s(American) mentality of "(S)he'd be better off with their own kind..." Yknow??

You would hope people could be more mature but I'm afraid I've witnessed this type of "ic to ooc dramallama" often enough in rp communities.

he looks faaaairly different but he has an iconic voice,at least to me. :3

*cringe* A power supply that only lasts 300 days? Sounds fishy.. I mean, I've had mine for 2.5-ish years now without any issues at all. At least a PSU isn't the most expensive part in a computer. Hope you get it replaced soon!

>_> he's the actor that played Gimli in the LOTR movies (among many other things, but I assume would be his most recognizable).

With all the talk about sexuality and the fact that evvvvvvreryones doin' it.... What is the form of contraception in Eorzea? Do you rub aether on your dingledoos? Are there condoms? And as an aside, if you're rping that you are impregnated by aether cuz "u don't need no man!" I hope you just give birth to a crystal that talks. Hey, go hard or go home! Lol this isn't intended to rustle any jimmies. I'm just in a silly mood. However, I am actually curious about the use of conception in the setting..not that Amelia will need it or anything...>.> she's going to be pure forever.

I suppose I generally stand with those saying people can RP how they want and if you don't like it, no one is forcing you to RP with them. In a community this size, that seems the most valid conclusion. On the other hand, I'll speak as someone coming from relatively smaller RP communities on Neverwinter Nights, where the whole server is made up of 30 people at most online simultaneously. You are absolutely entitled to break your race/class/socioeconomic/etc norms. It's a good idea to include reasoning, but that is honestly at your discretion. That being said, especially in smaller RP communities, there is a certain resistance to and perhaps even a stigma with too many "snowflakes". If everyone is special, you can lose some immersion in the story you are playing in. Like playing a server with a plot centered on Amn and Athkatla and everyone wants to play a friendly do gooder tiefling.. or all the aasimar being evil. Hopefully that makes sense and doesn't come across judgmental.
