That pretty much applies for every tank now. Or, even better, wait until we get crafted accessories and make accessories with both VIT and STR.

DRK really needs a few more buffs. 1) Allow us to use Blood Weapon in Grit. 2) Buff Dark Dance to increase parry rate to 30/40% > 60% (making it more of a parallel to Bulwark). 3) Put Reprisal on GCD (allowing a DRK MT to keep the damage debuff 100% of the time in an ideal scenario) 4) Buff Shadow Wall to 40%, either by default or with a trait. 5) Remove Hasty Reprisal (useless if Reprisal is on GCD) and Enhanced Unmend (completely useless), and replace them with new traits, maybe a buff for Shadow Wall and, I dunno, something else. 6) Shorten Living Dead cooldown. I get it, you can get 20 seconds invincibility with it, but it requires you and your healer(s) to be in perfect syncrony. 7) Buff Sole Survivor to something like 50% HP and MP recovered. 20% seems hardly worth it. EDIT: Also, replace Delirium's debuff with something else. No real reason to use it if you have a MNK with you.

100% going with Ejinn tribe. Someone needs to make an Ejinn tribe FC recruitment thread.

Doesn't sound very WHM-like...

Tsk, as if. I'm still waiting for that FFVI 3D remake, SE, and nothing else you throw at me will make me happy!

I had to use it one time, when I got the dreaded error 406. They couldn't do shit and I couldn't play for two months, before the error magically disappeared.

[EPISODE 4 DONE] Final Fantasy XIV: Hydaelyn Unlimited
mongi291 replied to SM Nick's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Ophelie would probably be attacking Hawthorne Hut/Little Solace (Sylph arc) or Fallgourd Float (Haukke arc). She wouldn't really be related to anything else until Coerthas and Garuda. As for her clothing... Being an Ixali fighter using a spear, it's only fitting she would wear Ixali [adjective]beak's clothing. Only difference, she would have an helmet shaped like an Ixal's head, complete with Ixali horns (basically a WAR AF helmet with longer horns and visor permanently down. -

Ophelie will start to appear somewhere in the Coerthas saga to give her more of a prominent role. Don't worry she'll be in the story. I might need some more information as like what she actually wears (like an image), and where would she first meet the party in your opinion. I don't have any in-game image here, would another image be ok? About when should she appear, the earliest she would appear is the final Gridania quest before the airship, but since it looks like it won't be in this fanfic, I think she would first meet the party either during the Sylph arc or during the Haukke Manor arc. -

So, um, will Ophelie be in the Garuda arc? Or do you need more information/don't need her at all? -

"Why aren't you keeping aggro?!" Said the full ilvl 130 Black Mage to his fellow ilvl47 or so Paladin tank. -
To be honest, during the MSQ, Garuda forces the captive Amalj'aa and Kobolds to summon Ifrit and Titan, and no crystal was seen there (and even if there were some, they would have probably been drained of their powers by Garuda). So in my opinion, crystals aren't needed to summon a Primal and sustain its physical form, but they are used to empower the Primal. Without them, the Primal would be weaker, but still able to survive, probably sustaining itself by draining the aether from around them.

[EPISODE 4 DONE] Final Fantasy XIV: Hydaelyn Unlimited

If you need a villain/anti-villain for Ixali-related things, especially Garuda, Ophelie is the character you want! Character Name: Ophelie Saintrelmaux Nickname: // Race/Clan: Elezen Duskwight Gender: Female Character Role: Villain/Anti-Villain Aspect (If Warrior of Light): Well, she's not a WoL but, considering her relation to Garuda, she has an affinity to wind. Strengths: She's very strong and agile. Able in using spears and polearms. She's also charismatic and is a capable leader. Flaws: She doesn't think too much before acting. Her fighting style isn't too practical, as it's aimed to kill her opponent as fast as possible, in a beast-like and stamina-draining way. Synopsis: A feral girl raised by Ixali. She wears light clothes made out of leather and animal pelts. She's been raised by Ixali since she was abandoned in the highlands of Coerthas at a tender age. She's well known by both Ixali and people living in the Shroud, as she is an high-ranking general in the Ixal army, and often leads them in battle against Gridania, driven by her hate for men. As she lives with Ixali, she doesn't believe in the Twelve, instead she lives by Garuda's teachings. Character: At first glance, she's a cold and heartless individual, only devoted to Garuda and with an apparently immotivated hatred for men. But in reality she's a calm and kind-hearted girl, and she only hates men because of her tragic backstory. She kills people and steals crystals because she truly believes it's the right thing to do, as she thinks summoning Garuda will teach men a lesson and put an end to her suffering. Appearance: I can't log in, and this is the only picture I have. However she (obviously) doesn't wear these clothes ICly, so just imagine her with something like an harness or something. -
The Vent Tent - Poor PuGs and Other Terrible Tales

Oh yeah I hate when this happens. I only have tanks leveled, so I only play WAR and PLD, but when I know that I'm overgeared/the boss doesn't have an aggro table/the boss is going to be "stunned" for a while, I switch Defiance off/use Sword Oath and try to deal as much damage as possible. I rarely ever got called out on that, though. -
Well, it's likely for Forbidden Chakra and Elixir Drive. Tornado Kick is already confirmed as a 60 seconds CD though. Anyway I realized we don't know SMN's Deathflare and BLM's Fire IV potency, and considering that they said SMN was getting some more burst damage, and BLM is all about burst damage, I think they'll be just as strong if not even stronger than Tornado Kick.
-
Btw Monk feels a bit overpowered. Tornado Kick, a 500 potency attack with a 60 seconds cooldown? Sure, it removes GL3, but considering Greased Lightning, Twin Snakes and Dragon Kick, which should be all up 100% of the time, and not even accounting for other buffs, it should be the strongest attack in the game. And I haven't even talked about Forbidden Chakra, 400 potency but doesn't drop GL3, and Elixir Drive, 300 AoE potency, doesn't remove GL3 either, and IT'S A FUCKING KAMEHAMEHA. I don't even like Dragon Ball but I'm hyped.

Yesssssss. EDIT: Nvm, I just realized it's a weaponskill and drains the target's HP. I thought it was the classical, suicidal Souleater.

On a side-note, I just did that Mary Sue test, and I think it's pretty reliable. Although I discovered that Ophelie is almost a Mary Sue, scoring 38 points. Damnit.

I think the biggest problem is actually learning skills. Even if it didn't require you to get hit (like in older FFs) and just required you to kill the enemy that knows the skill, it would force you to run dungeons and stuff just to learn abilities. And if you don't have a certain set of skills you will be gimp. As if grinding for gear wasn't tedious enough. Not to mention, there are very few interesting enemy abilities, and we most likely wouldn't get the most interesting ones.

[SPOILERS not hidden in SPOILERS] 2.55 Before the Fall Part 2
mongi291 replied to Kage's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Eh, I'm not particularly fond of Gridania, either. I like the feeling of the Shroud but that's about it. -
I got the reference, I laughed way more than I should.
-
So, if we get a lot of new skills, and they aren't every 5 levels, I guess jobs quests will be more often than every 5 levels (they already confirmed all new skills come from job quests.)... Maybe every 1-2 levels we get a new Job quest?

I thought the same. At first I thought skin colors changed too but we see Xaelas with tanned skins so apparently scales are the only difference.
