Wandering Dark Knight Miniature Flavor Text A peculiar miniature of a female dark knight. Not fond of others. Minion Guide "While it is no common secret that Dark Knights are arbiters of justice, the particular Au Ra this minion is crafted after takes it to the absolute limit. The few who've not been targets of her judgement note that she's a bit aloof with others and is to the point." Behavior Independent Idle Animation The minion looks down at the ground and places a hand on the choker around its neck.

Not to derail the thread; I worry about every choice I make. Every steps I take. I'm trying to start transitioning (As I am transgender as well), and lately it seems either I'm missing something or I'm going about it wrong. I'm mentally unstable, easily getting upset over the pettiest of things, I'm really clingy, and the worst part is, I'm so afraid of failing that things that I shouldn't blame myself for, I do. It's so difficult for me to function as a "normal human being" in public as I have literally no "real life" experience, and it was up until September of last year that I lived with my parents. Within a week, I lost my home, my two dogs (who were therapeutic to me) and dropped into a depression that's been harder than the Great Depression. I am 25, and I've been trying so hard to pick up the pieces since then. If I hadn't had my friends, I probably would be in the ground right now. http://i.imgur.com/FYQlEpM.jpg Here's Brownie (the small brown pikachu) and Bluto (the big black pikachu). I raised them since birth, and this year they're going to be 3. I'm going to stop here with this post because I'll end up rambling on more than I already have. Sorry.

"Ugh I need to update my character's Wiki"
Viola replied to Berrod Armstrong's topic in RP Discussion
Yeah, I need to add alot of stuff for Viola, but I need a little bit of help with getting around to it. I lack reading comprehension sometimes. -
She had heard it all. How it was always 'twelve this', or 'twelve that'. She wasn't interested in them and for the most part, she believed they had no interest in her. The Fury would probably be angry with her, but she didn't mind. So long as nothing bad happened to her father, she didn't care. However, she didn't exactly understand how she somehow ended up in Ul'Dah, but with her frequent wanderings while lost in thought, it was to be expected. She took a deep breath, listening to the two women talk as she reached for her cup of tea.

It's not a failure, it's a temporary setback. Failure implies that you did not succeed. Big deal, you didn't complete it this time or the next. Failure starts when you give up. Not when you wipe, not when you decide to take a break from what you're doing.

Seriously, though, I'm curious how many other Judge-style characters there are. I've seen two other people who have Judge as their "first name" and apparently Viola is also going that sort of route. I have to wonder what would happen when the Judges' rulings clash. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judge_Dredd This particular Judge. Viola's been trained and conditioned since being captured to be a Dark Knight in both figurative and literal sense. She isn't "edgy" as most characters who use "Dotharl" or "Dark Knight", but she has no interest in "bullshit". Her need and want for slaughter is there, but it is held back by her "father's" teachings and his training.

Memenu Menu. be named after a fabled dunesfolk Monk of lore. ('-' )

Viola's a Dark Knight, through and through. She was trained and conditioned as Judge, Jury and Executioner and she will do just that. Basically, she's the Judge Dredd of FF14.

Does your Character aspire to be a Hero?
Viola replied to -no longer matters-'s topic in RP Discussion
Viola has no interest. She's experienced what happens when others "play the hero"; her blade in their chest for acting like their self-sacrifice will change the fact that those who are being judged will most likely find themselves executed for the crimes they have commited against others. She has no love of fame, fortune or any other thing attributed to being a hero. She does the work she's trained to do, and if it means some overt massacre, she's going to commit to it without a second thought. That is to say she isn't out of control, because she isn't. All her "father" has to do is say something and she'll comply with it, no exception. -
Viola, with the way she is, would probably snap if anything happened to her "father". And I don't mean snap into a fit of rage. There [will] be blood, and everything will be painted crimson. The ground. Her armor, her face, her hair. EVERYTHING. It won't be a pyschotic break. It'll be a sociopathic break. Years of training and conditioning undone within a single instant. She can't handle that sort of loss, and it would truly show when she goes on a rampage, most likely ending in her death.

I play my role how I like my (real life) Master; Assertive and dominant. ('-' ) With that said, I don't have an issue with running dungeons unless it's raid tier content (IE Final Coil of Bahamut)

Cathedral of Defiance EX 8 man boss fight, 1 tank, 5 DPS, 2 healers Description: A Primal has been cornered in this remote location in Coerthas. Put it down for the good of Eorzea. Introduction; The lalafellin Primal and the group who had originally summoned her, all of them praying as Aether swirls around her, a look of fury on her face. "I crushed the Garleans and I've killed several primals for the good Eorzea and I'm treated like a monster that needs to be killed?! I'll rip all of your spines out when I'm done!" Attacks and skills: Every time a player is killed, Memenu gains a stack of Unrelenting Rage. At 5 stacks she enters Fury status. Judgement of the Destroyer: A raid-wide (effectively Tumult from Titan) AoE that stuns the party for two seconds and bypasses diminishing returns on detrimental effects. Damage is between 1.5k to 4 k (dependent on Unrelenting Rage stacks/Fury status). Maximum cast is 3 at any given time. (Bypasses Hallowed Ground, Living Dead and Holmgang) Starts being used at around 85% health. Tormenting Fist: Memenu targets a party member (that isn't the tank) and slams the ground with as much strength as she can muster. The Target and any who is hit in the line gains a stack of Hopelessness. At 3 stacks, the target gains Terrified status for 20 seconds, causing them to run around in fear and takes 5.5k damage (almost 10!k if Memenu is in Fury status) Usage starts at about 70% HP Guillotine Fist: Upon gaining 5 stacks of Unrelenting Rage, Memenu gains the ability to use this. Has to be chained from Raging Thrust if in Fury status. If cast, target and any member surrounding him are instantly killed. Can be directly used at 10% HP, and if Memenu is alive during the end of its cast, the party wipes. Tri-Combo: Memenu hits the target 3 times for mild to severe damage. With 3 stacks of Unrelenting Rage, she gains the ability to use Quad Blow. Used at 95% HP and below. Quad Blow: Punches the target four times, causing severe bruising which hampers healing by 40%. If under 4 stacks of Unrelenting Rage, increase it to 60%. Deals moderate damage. Used at 55% HP and below. Chain Crush: Memenu yanks three party members towards her and punches the ground for heavy damage in a small area. Healer will rarely be targeted but anyone caught in the AoE will be knocked back (minus those who were chained). Used at 40% HP and below Raging Thrust: Memenu viciously punches the ground with both hands, dealing mediocre damage but slowing everyone within range (large AoE, almost double the side of a Weight of the Land). If used in Fury status, the damage is doubled and the slow duration is increased. Used at 30% HP and below Enrage: If party members die 5 more times after Fury status or hit the time limit (13 minutes) during battle, Memenu starts using Steel Crush; an advanced form of Rock Breaker with a larger AoE and deals upwards of 7k damage non-crit. During this time, Memenu has insanely increased critical strike chance and as such, deals upwards of 15k unmitigatable damage per hit. Quotes: Upon starting battle: "You will be among the first to reap what you've sown!" Upon killing a party member: "I expected better! Which one's next?!" 50% HP: "Not bad.. But I'm not out yet!" Hitting Fury status: "Now you will see true fury!" Using Guillotine Fist: "Enough of this... Time to die!" Being killed: "...I tried.. Run, vassals.."

Does your character have a trinket of some sort?
Viola replied to Kage's topic in Character Workshop
Viola wears a simple brooch attached to a collar around her neck at all times. This brooch means practically everything to her, and she almost never removes it (unless out of necessity, like bathing). The only one she'll trust touching it, ever, is her "father", who taught her everything from how to act to how to fight. While everything she has is from the Dark Knight who raised her, she holds the brooch above all else. -
What does your character find unattractive in others?
Viola replied to Blue's topic in Character Workshop
Viola's a bit of a strange one; due to her very sheltered upbringing, she has very little (read; practically none) interaction with the outside world. She has no interest in others and generally prefers being alone, if, for some reason, is unable to follow her "father" around wherever he goes. With that said, she is unnervingly loyal to him and will do more or less everything he asks without a second thought. Outside of that, her only interest is her goals or what she's told to do. -
I am not to familiar with any Au Ra lore, but when making the Au Ras, especially the Xaela, I see him as a sort of traveling outcast, someone who is alone and very focused on himself. Perhaps to a selfish extent, but ultimately he knows that to be his best self to care for others he must put himself first. Oschon is close to his heart and he finds tranquility in the mountains. (Though I think technically that's more of a Raen trait?) Nope, Raen are more like the five races than the Xaela. Xaela are tribal while Raen are civilised (IE living in towns vs nomadic tribes that may or may not be warring amongst eachother). With that said, the 51 primary Xaela tribes are nomadic. Doesn't mean there aren't tribes that hunker down in the mountains though.

She smiled sweetly, feigning the "cute little girl" routine as the middle-aged Elezen clapped her hands with a smile. "What's a cute little orphan such as yourself doing out here?" she asked, clearly not knowing the malicious motives of the young Au Ra who had lied her way to the outskirts of Coerthas. The little Au Ra had heard of soldiers of unknown origin moving around in Othard. Armed with unknown and devastating weapons, they had wrested control with relative ease from the surrounding area. "Soldiers from a strange pla-" she was cut off before she could finish by the Elezen, "Don't say another word. It's best you don't relive that trauma for now. Please, come in." The silver-haired woman motioned into her house and the young Xaela could only follow in agreement to the gesture. The young Dotharl clan child had been carefully watching the house for a few days, waiting and learning of what happened in this quiet and slightly remote area. She didn't know much about the inside of the house but she did know that the couple who lived here were relatively popular. As she entered, she suddenly understood why they were; so many handcrafted things. Various crafted items ranging from simple yet elegant jewelry to wooden dolls and other such assorted items littered the multitude of shelves neatly and presentably. She had done well to pick this place for intentions. Yes, these multitude of trinkets would please her greatly and even help her tribe out, despite them not knowing that she had left. As the little Au Ra looked around, the Elezen beckoned her to follow, smiling even broader at the look of wonder on the little girl's face. "Come, I wish for you to meet someone." She said, the little draconic girl doing exactly as she was told. The house, while not exactly small, was quite humble for the quality of the craftsmanship in the decorations. She was lead from the entrance hallway through the den and down a small flight of stairs into a cellar that could be anything but; a workroom with various tools and the occasional unfinished project. At the end of the fairly long and spacious room was an old Hyur sitting in front of a fire place on a chair, his hair almost pure white. "Honey, I found a little orphan girl outside. She's quite sweet" she said, causing him to turn to look at the peculiar Au Ra. His face was heavily wrinkled with a pair of small spectacles adorning his face. "Hm... I haven't seen a race like hers before. How old are you, little one?" he gave a humble smile as she looked at the object in his hands. "I'm 9." she replied, her eyes still locked on what looked like a piece of jewelry in his hands. "An inquisitive little girl, huh? It's a brooch." he broke his gaze from the little girl to the middle-aged Elezen. "It's about done, Viola. Just need a bit more time. Would you mind getting us a drink?" She nodded, quite gracefully turning around to walk back up the stairs. "Can I look at it?" The Dotharl asked, slowly inching forward. "Inquisitive indeed. Mind grabbing that carving knife over there on the table to your right? I just need to add a little writing to this and it'll be done." He turned back to the fireplace, looking at the small flames rising off the burning logs as the girl grabbed the knife. She walked slowly forward, inspecting the blade as she smiled maliciously. She gently pressed a finger to the blade, noting how strangely sharp it was despite its use. As she walked forward, she changed her grip on it; holding it in a downward position as she raised it abover her head as the man outstretched his hand without looking, waiting for the knife that would never be placed in it. With a swift and vicious thrust, the blade had met its mark; the brooch dropped from his hand as he lurched away and towards the fire as he lost control of his body, blood almost gushing out of the carving knife in his neck. He was dead in almost a minute from the injury. The little Au Ra gleefully giggled as she picked up the brooch and pulled the blade out of the old craftsman's neck, blood all over her left arm and part of her torso from the violent attack before she quickly turned to move towards the stairs. A scream; the Elezen looked in horror as she dropped the tray and cups of water onto the foot of the stairs from seeing her beloved laying dead, bloodied and partially burned as well as the sight of the seemingly "sweet" girl actually being a vicious murderer. She turned, tripping onto the stairs as the Au Ra pounced on her, quickly stabbing the Elezen repeatedly in the back before she could defend herself. It only took seconds before she died, the Dotharl repeatedly stabbing her at least a dozen or so times between the spine and shoulder blades. The girl shook, giggling in partial insanity-filled bloodlust as she slowly walked up the stairs. It was almost too easy, but she didn't care. She loved it, and with this new trinket, she had proof of her first kill to her tribe. With the blade still in hand, she exited the door only to see a figure clad in some strange platemail in front of her, wielding a sword larger than she had ever seen. She braced herself, her true self seen prematurely. "Fury forefend, it's a child who's a murderer! What sort of devilry is this?!" He asked, the figure towered over her but she wasn't remotely intimidated. She quickly took the offense, dashing towards him with murderous intent as she swung at him. He moved out of the way, swinging the blade to counter her attempted thrust which in turn only caused her to dive to the left and out of fatal swing range for her to get a mildly deep slash into her side. She landed harshly onto her hip, quickly getting back onto her feet despite the wound. "I'll take your head as a trophy!" she rasped angrily, dropping the brooch onto the grass as she sprinted forward again, this time being forced push herself onto the ground to dodge another horizontal slash aimed for her head just before she got up and thrust the knife towards her opponent's chestplate. He twisted unconventionally towards her right, the blade deflecting off the metal harmlessly past him as he brought the pommel down into her back between her shoulderblades, immediately flooring her. "You shant do such a thing, child." He commented, lifting the blade of his weapon above his head with both hands. "In the name of the Fury, Halone. You are sentenced to death for the atrocities you have commited this day." Her back was on fire from the blow and as she gasped for air, she rolled onto her left side, swinging both legs to knock him off-balance, which it clearly hit its mark. The armor-clad figure staggered, allowing the Au Ra to once again get back onto her feet to mount another thrust towards him, this time towards the man's neck. However, she wasn't fast enough as once again he used the weight of his weapon's pommel down on the top of her head, sending her into the ground on her right side. She had blacked out for what felt like was just a second, the pain in her head almost too great for her to continue. She couldn't let him win, she needed him to lose! The young Dotharl tried getting onto one knee as she heard a loud thud somewhere behind her before she felt a hand grasp the back of her head by the hair firmly and yanked her into a sitting position the ground, her neck bent and throat exposed. She looked up, her vision quite blurry from the recent blow to her skull though she could make out the features of an Elezen, the emerald eyes being the most distinct of the features she could currently see. She could see the solemn frown on his face. Not one of anger, but one of sadness. He shook his head, sighing deeply. "Death would be too good for you. A better punishment would let you live so you can seek penance." She made a pained grimace, almost spitting at him. "S-Screw... You. You're l-lucky I can't feel..." she trailed off, having a hard time speaking, let alone moving her limbs. He let go, spotting the Brooch she had dropped from before glinting in the sun. "Tha-" he turned, glaring at her "Yours? I don't think so. You murdered a husband and wife for this." Looking at it in his hands, he slowly nodded. "Since you want it so badly, you can wear it. You can even have the woman's name as punishment, Viola." She tried shaking her head, barely even able to do that as he grabbed her by the head again and pressed the brooch against her neck, slowly nodding. "From this day forward, you will do as I say and exactly as you're told. From now on, you will learn what it is like to be a proper lady, and a proper resident of Eorzea."
-
Viola was trained and conditioned to live with every choice she makes. With that said, while regret is highly unlikely for her, she sometimes does give into it. And that regret in question; she is constantly at odds with her "father's" teachings, feeling like she regrets going against them if she has to go against them. She's like a dog on a leash, and all he has to do is give her a command and she'll do it without even thinking of the consequences, but ever since she was told to head to Ishgard to search for the past of the Dark Knights before her, she feels like every action she makes goes against what she was taught and regrets every second of it.
-
Character Fear? Viola fears two things first and foremost; losing the brooch she was originally forced to wear when she was younger (as punishment for what she had done, though now she is quite fond of it.) and the loss of her so-called "father". How do they cope? Viola wears the brooch on a collar at all times, regardless of it being covered or not. So long as she knows it's around her neck, she doesn't have an issue. As for her "father", up until recently, she followed him wherever he went the past few years. Now with being told to head to Ishgard to learn the History of the 'Dark Knights', she's worried more than ever that she may lose him. How do people respond to their fear? They don't know about her fears, she wouldn't tell them either. Do you think one day they could be cured of there fear? I'm not sure. Only time will tell, I'd think.
-
Viola's not one for words; she's graceful yet to the point. Due to her quiet nature, she doesn't often engage in conversation if at all unless it's with her "father". Though her biggest problem is her quick-to-engage-into-violence personality. Despite years of mental conditioning, her will to kill hasn't been extinguished one bit. To make matters worse, her interactions with others is very limited. That isn't to say she's constantly thinking about the next kill; she's usually thinking of where to find her next point in her objectives and these often thoughts can lead her wanderings into places she wasn't exactly looking for.
