Into the removers inventory. Its tolerable though, I have 2 people with shared permissions, one who i've known for quite some time has carte blanche and can shift things around as he pleases. The other has gardening permissions, Stable permissions, but not furniture permissions. (As a note, tenants can enter locked houses without any issue.)

Unfortunately there's not centered database of "landlords" (yet) So far as the mechanics go, having a tenant doesn't give them an option for a room (like company housing) instead you're able to give them permissions to garden, use the stables, and add/color/remove furniture. (grouped like that so you can't separate moves from color/ arrange, or even certain sections of the house, when you give permissions, they get all the permissions sadly.) With a free company they can purchase a private room and have all the permissions to it but a similar feature hasn't bee implemented yet. If you'd like a demo i'll be on around 9pm EST (although any other house owner should be able to do the same in the mean time. Mines at the Lavender beds, ward8, plot 28)

Yup, there are a few of us doing that, working out the rental plan has been interesting. The moving furniture can be a bit of a sticking point since the move/add/remove permissions are all in one option.

Pending further housing changes in 3.1 that we'll find more out about at the live letter. (since supposedly they're introducing housing options for us private estate owners to share permissions with you landless peasants.) So we might soon have Personal houses where people on your friends list, or in a specific friends group can be granted permissions to enter when its locked/use the facilities (another thing limited to the house owner currently)

lots and lots of practice, I do quite a bit of work from home which doesn't help but more often than not the media lay out goes as such: Furthest left (KVM'd to media machine as well) primarily for monitoring, runs temperature monitors on the various devices in the house, keeps track of the u/d on stuff, as well as a copy of error reports I get. 2nd Left: Contacts/references, Skype, Discord, IRC, TORchat. Typically also move stuff like compiled crafting requests from Garland DB for supply missions there. This is the one that usually has the most stuff on it, even at the best of times i'm monitoring something. Middle: Primary media be it FFXIV, GIMP, ect. Right: Active Media/referance. If i'm doing Comm work or something this'll be where I have reference art, if i'm grinding its usually playing some Freakazoid or R&M. Of course i'll also do a stretch screen across the middle 3 if I want to do some more panoramic gaming/work, but thats fairly rare these days.

Hello Jayley, If possible would you be able to expand on what exactly you were looking for from your FC? A good reference would be the "linkshell" option in the bar along the top of this page, many of those companies themselves are recruiting, but its also useful as a point of reference. Eg. "Something like HoD but a bit smaller/more personal". http://imgur.com/a/FnIGg ,-- is an album of FC adverts made at the leaders meeting back in May that I was sleuthing about. Time zone is also good information, there are a number of FC's that focus on the Euro time zones. Feel free to ask any further questions you may have.

It is? I am not an authority on the matter, having only done the first 2 quests, but that seems unlikely. I mean, I doubt the Athenaeum Astrologicum would even be there if Astrologians were considered heretics. I recall some quest text that said a Sharlayan astrologian's father was killed for spreading the practice of astromancy in Ishgard, but maybe that was a past thing and Ishgard has relaxed it's stance on it. Sharlayans aren't allowed to spread the teachings of their home outside of the Islands. AST spoiler below. The Ishgardians find it largely useless and without any great deal of merit particularly because teaching it would remove focus from the orthodox Ishgardian Astrology; using the starts to divine the movements of the Draconic horde.
