I'd be interested in seeing some cross-references like the Echo-users who are also mercenaries/adventurers, for example. I also think ACN is probably over-represented but short of asking everyone who answered it if they're ACN/SMN/SCH, I don't think there's a way to really address it...

I'd like to sign up as Jana, if it's ok that she hasn't really seen much direct action with the plot. ;w;

In my opinion, any voidsent is already too much. Remember, the goal of any life from there is to consume as much aether as possible, as soon as possible. Keeping one around as a "helper" doesn't seem like something that could work, and void summoners (in the vein of Amdapor Keep's cultists) don't tend to be alive for very long, even without player characters killing them off. Edit: Also keep in mind that anything involving the void is going to be seen as highly illegal. Going all the way back to Tam-Tara, another Lambs of Dalamud dungeon, the head of the God's Quiver hires adventurers based on the possibility that they might be messing with the void. Anyone who had visibly void-like traits would likely be kill-on-sight for law enforcement types.

I'd love it if we could access the Vath Adventurer Guild and use it as a hub too, though the number of people milling about for beast tribe dailies would make it difficult to RP there.

My heart is breaking...! Unless we were Double Dragon MNKing it up and I was handling it, ID call that dude out. Then again, I've had runs where I/an FC mate has been kicked for stuff as innocent as asking the other DPS to use more AoEs, and it's infuriating. Pugs are simply not trustworthy enough to be worth the effort.

I don't mind if the planet Jupiter is asking for an ass-kicking, but if this thing was a super boss in its original appearance, what does that mean for the third raid in the VA storyline? A fully power-upped Diablos seems too predictable.

I haven't played YW but Hino is super cool! Looking forward to more unique minions and weapons.

Jana's plot line has become Mostly Social and it looks like the combat RP event is already full. Gonna sit on it for a day before I throw Jana into the fire that is trying not to offend Ishgardians.

Someone whose PvE main is different from their RP main should probably just answer for the character they RP as the most. These are meant to be metrics for the forums, not all of Balmung, so answering for a character they don't RP much with skews things away.

One of the Tree of Savior GMs was commenting on how they equipped the GM Ban ability and sat in a main plaza hitting bots with it, which causes them to explode in that game. We probably have too many servers but GMs on the scene to click+ban would be nice.

Might be a cumulative score to cater to the Relic grind crowd, "Save up 4000 points to get this armor" where that number is a few very good runs or many many bad ones.

Reminds me if other MMOs with a "score attack" solo dungeon/tower/etc. Those usually had bragging rights rewards in the form of cosmetic gear, bit sometimes functional prizes.were included too.

Early-level Gridania quests say the Wailers are struggling with the low-level problems that the player is made to deal with because a lot of manpower is being devoted to fighting the Ixal in the West Shroud. That's all we hear of it, unfortunately.

I'm gonna be the party pooper here and fill in some blanks with the lore that you might not have reached yet. I know you said you didn't care about DRK questline spoilers so I'll go ahead and give you that info. 1) Au Ra are not dragons, they just kinda look like them to the point that Ishgard was pretty racist about it for a while; whether or not they still are isn't really elaborated upon but different players have different opinions on that. Xaela tribes are most easily paralleled with Mongolian nomads (tribe-by-tribe specifics should be on the wiki), and while you don't have to use this to make your character's background, most Au Ra in general are only very recent arrivals in Eorzea. The events that brought Yugiri's initial boatload took place less than one year ago. 2) The specific clan/job combination of Xaela Dark Knight mirrors the quest giver/teacher for the 50-60 DRK quests, a guy named Sidurgu. In his background, we learn that his family made its way to Ishgard after the initial Garlean occupation of Doma (unlike Yugiri's group, which only came after the razing of Doma due to their failed rebellion), but due to looking like dragons, the Ishgardians killed them indiscriminately. He was saved at the last second and lives as a fugitive within Ishgard until the end of the DRK questline. If you wanted to have another Xaela Dark Knight, you can use this as possible back story/motivation for your character, though I'd advise against saying she was in the same group. Unrelated to the lore, reading your posts gives me the impression that you're working with "tropes" and stitching them together into a character. Be careful that you don't let yourself get boxed in, tropes are essentially other peoples' ideas in the end. It's good to pinpoint what you like in a character and have an idea of how you want to play them, but don't fall into the trap of treating tropes as a checklist for character creation. Edit: This is normal. Balmung is the most populated server and is full 99.9% of the time. Some people are lucky enough to sneak into the server in the few seconds immediately before or after a maintenance, but the only certain way to get on is to use a paid transfer ($18, flat rate for up to 8 characters) from another server.

Honestly I just leveled ACN as SMN; I can use SCH for outdated content if my FC is desperate but otherwise getting me to heal is a bad idea because I don't have the right mindset for it.

1- SCH tomes don't have the same geometries or rituals that ACN/SMN tomes do, they're instead texts on strategies. The in-game models for SCH weapons have text instead if a circle with angles to show the difference in who can equip it. 2- Fairies are a kind of construct in the same family as elementals, but not as powerful, according to some old lore. I've taken it to mean they're like a minor nature spirit but my interpretation may not be everyone else's. 3- Nym was an old empire during the same era as Amdapor and Mhachi (I wanna say 5th but I'm at work and can't check for sure). The other two were famous for fielding WHM and BLM but Nym used squads of 3 MRD led by 1 SCH in battles. Nym died out due to a plague that turned its people into the Tonberries we see in WP and the SCH quests (which some speculate was caused by the war between the three magical empires).
