as far as I have heard that is only for vista,7, and XP. I was able to DL the new client, but it seems way to small(based on how fast it DLed) also it is still in maintenance mode, does anyone know when they are supposed to take it out of maintenance(or if it already is and I need to re down load it)? Edit: should mention I am on the PC

I know my mom taught me how to cook, though I certainly took it and ran with it. I really like cooking, but those dishes...those dishes. Why do so many beautiful dishes have to require a ton of pots and pans and then more plates and bowls on top of it.... I would probably cook for fun things if I had a better dishwasher(or a designated person to fill such a role)

I guess Rogier would have to his Grimoire, seeing as it never leaves his side. other than that, I guess some sort of representation of his Carbuncle.

I suppose Rogier would smell of old parchment, ink, and maybe smoke depending on what experiments he has been working on.

Race: Duskwight Elezen Height: Very Short (by Elzen standards bordering on sickly). ~ 6 fulms, 3 ilms. Weight: Less than average. ~138 ponz. Body: Short by Elzen standards and sickly in appearance. Hair: Ink Blue with Aether Blue Highlights Eyes: Aether Blue Skin: Fair. He tends to lock himself away for weeks on end and work out information pertaining to his spells. He is also know to do extensive studies on the way that magic affects the local monsters. He has also been looking into the more ancient aspects of the Arcanum(think mad scientist)

playing me some VIII, the normal attack is also basically pointless(just like XIV). I mean you can hit them with your weapon, but why do that when you have infinite summons(skills for XIV)

This Sounds like a fun group to interact with, and as a member of Mysterium Rogier could certainly be coerced into the fray. Generally he accepts information as a bribe, but he has been known to work for food as well( when your research has distracted you from eating for days on end the mention of a good opo opo stew can certainly have it's pull). Well I know Rogier left Eorzea, just before the battle of cartenaue, headed for the southern Islands. He spent the five years following that doing research and for a brief period searching for his father. He will only just be getting back to Eorzea for the first time in five years at the start of ARR. so if anyone would be venturing to the south of Eorzea they may have met him in passing.

The most likely races to enter: Burmecian : Freya, Cleyrans split from the Burmecians when the latter started to appreciate "the art of war", and have had no contact with Burmecia in over 100 years. Aegyl : winged people Nu Mou :The Nu Mou have canine features, bearing elongated faces and tails. Their ears, long and thick with a hole near the end, are often decorated with various earrings. The Nu Mou's average height, ranging between 130-150 cm, coupled with their bent posture, makes them come across as rather small. Viera : The game introduces the Feol Viera (フォル・ヴィエラ, Foru Viera?), a sub-branch of the viera. They have blonde hair and shorter ears. Feol viera are the descendants of the aegyl chief Feolthanos who fell in love with a full-blooded viera, giving birth to the race that carries his name.

They already have some info up on this from Fernehalwes. Dev blog and it would depend on how they pull off the dragon race, if it look more like a Bangaa then not so much, would have to choose the Viera for sure then. However, in a strait battle between miqo and viera I would have to pick the Viera(but only if they are the awesome fran version). On that note, since miquo are already very established in lore, I don't know that adding Viera would work well.

If you have access to a PC that can run the benchmark creation/first 10 mins of the game, then you could just make your character on a pc, start the game and get to a point that you can log off. switch to PS3 and poof, you have the characters you made from the benchmark.

That concentration is what I am aiming for as well. I'd like to be in archives and research. Thanks for both the links as well Happy I could help. and nice to meet a fellow future archive person. not sure how much research I would do personally, but I certainly like helping other people find those obscure bits of info for their research.

Welcome to the RPC! Library technician huh? I am currently going to school to get my Masters in library sciences, I hope to work in archives. Anymoogle, back to RP. Wow an ff13-2 and ff tactics reference from one person, I am impressed indeed. Now if you aren't looking for ff fans to instantly jump to Ramza Beoulve from tactics you may consider working up a different character name, but if you don't mind getting a few OOC (out of character) "did you mean tactics ramza?" messages followed by a then the name is awesome as is. Personally I would like to see some more long hair options for guys. or at least better ones. a few more beard options wouldn't be a bad thing either. oh and one more thing, some highlight options for hair that doesn't look like your head is a piece of Marble rye. (yes there are a couple, but most of the highlights look like they took your hair and did one clump blue one clump white one clump blue one clump white...)
