Seriphyn Posted November 9, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 9, 2016 With the Dragonsong War officially at its end, the timing is most fortuitous for a more proper celebration integrating Ishgard back into the Eorzean Alliance. The Immortal Flames Free Brigade squadron “Sasagan's Scimitars” has received a request from the Adventurers' Guild and Ul'dahn Vizier of Finance to organize and facilitate a public event celebrating this bold era of unity for the realm. Specifically, the free companies of Eorzea are invited to come together to not only show support for Ishgard's republic and their newly-found peace, but to proudly advocate the daring culture of the adventurer to the formerly isolated city-state. Rousing speeches and revelry abound! This is a social and networking event designed as a player-oriented denouement to Revenge of the Horde and Heavensward in general. After an opening bard act, there will be speeches from prolific adventurers, followed by an open forum for any and all to speak up. The main event will be concluded with a closing bard act. We would also like representatives from the Order of the Twin Adder and Maelstrom in full uniform, as well as the Temple Knights, to show a presence! In-character recruiting is actively encouraged! The event will take place at the Last Vigil. Bards 1. Ciel Gravye 2. Odette Saoirse Speakers 1. Kaitlyn Nelhah & Flytia Dalyeis 2. Faye Covington 3. Leanne Delphium 4. Seriphyn Posted November 12, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted November 12, 2016 I'll do my best to show up and represent the best city-state and Grand Company in all of Eorzea. Excellent! Can we count on you to bring a charge of Maelstrom troops with you? Link to comment
Zelmanov Posted November 13, 2016 Share #5 Posted November 13, 2016 Orrin shall be in attendance, though I wish to cede my position of being representative of Ishgard in favor for someone more intimately tied to the temple knights as opposed to a retired dragoon promoted to officer. Link to comment
Seriphyn Posted November 14, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted November 14, 2016 Proudly roping in the wonderful Odette Saoirse to perform for us! We still need speakers, so please push this out there to anyone you think suitable! Link to comment
Leanne Posted November 15, 2016 Share #7 Posted November 15, 2016 I'd like both to be a bard, and a speaker! Link to comment
Seriphyn Posted November 16, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted November 16, 2016 I'd like both to be a bard, and a speaker! Wonderful, added! Right now, I want to fill up the speaker slots before adding in a third bard slot (negotiable!), so perhaps for now you might be able to integrate a performance into a speech? Thanks so much for stepping up. Link to comment

Seriphyn Posted November 16, 2016 Author Share #10 Posted November 16, 2016 can I come as a Flame soldier too? Absolutely. I will clarify that the officers-in-charge are just points of contact for each GC at the event. Link to comment

Max Posted November 16, 2016 Share #12 Posted November 16, 2016 Looks interesting and I might have Max show up to join Gridania's representation. I'm not entirely sure if I'll be available that night BUT here's to hoping I am! Link to comment
Percival Turner Posted November 19, 2016 Share #13 Posted November 19, 2016 My name can be added to the list for representing the Adders. If I end up not being able to make it I'll try to get a fellow member of the Adders RP LS to represent. Link to comment

Man events like this make me wish we had an Ishgard GC sooooo badly. Kale other than rallying folks, what will the OICs need to do? Link to comment

Syranelle Ironleaf Posted November 29, 2016 Share #18 Posted November 29, 2016 To the fellow speech-makers: Since I snagged the last spot on the list, it might behoove the lot of us to coordinate/discuss our speeches so we don't all talk on the same subject(s). I have yet to write mine, but if yours are already written, I'd love to get a brief synopsis so I can plan mine accordingly. Link to comment
Syranelle Ironleaf Posted November 29, 2016 Share #19 Posted November 29, 2016 With Seriphyn's blessing, I've made the following event poster for easy distribution and posting to FC websites and blogs. Please feel free to take and use as you see fit! 1 Link to comment

Ciel Posted December 4, 2016 Share #22 Posted December 4, 2016 Great job to all who participated, and thank you to all of our attendees. This was a very well organized event for something so large, and we had a great turnout. I've heard nothing but rave reviews from folks who were there. Link to comment
Sounsyy Posted December 4, 2016 Share #23 Posted December 4, 2016 On behalf of FLEET and Maelstrom RPers, I really wanted to offer another big thank you to Kale and everyone who went into making this event a blast! It was so great seeing so many extra Grand Company roleplayers in one place, especially members of the Adders and Flames in uniform. I know Sylb wanted to be there, but that just means there'll be interest among the Maelstrom for future co-GC events in the future. Thanks again! 1 Link to comment
Valence Posted December 4, 2016 Share #24 Posted December 4, 2016 I wish I was able to make it, but my timezone isn't friendly to many things. I'm also glad however to see that kind of lore oriented events taking place. Keep it up! Link to comment
Faye Posted December 4, 2016 Share #25 Posted December 4, 2016 The Celebration was great! A wonderful job by all the speakers, performers, and GC representatives! Thank you to everyone who came, and a special thanks to Kale for organizing everything! Link to comment
