[Small Writing Game] Become A Path Companion!

Hello all, signing in today to offer a small writing challenge, or rather game, as it's not really that much of a challenge...

Do you remember the Path Companion from FFXIV 1.0? In a little moment of nostalgia, I have been reading the Old Lodestone a lot before the site is taken down, and this is where I have found the small descriptions of each available Path Companion from back then:

Midland Hyur Male

A fine if somewhat conventional companion, possessing a strong sense of justice, an indefatigable spirit and…so on.

Midland Hyur Female

A gregarious though slightly egocentric young woman. If you can put up with her, she won’t let you down.

Elezen Male

Being a man wholly focused on his mission, this highborn fellow can seem rather curt, if not downright rude.

Elezen Female

A studious sort with exemplary manners. Serious and trustworthy, as you’d expect, but possibly a little…stiff for some tastes. Still, if you loathe over-familiarity, she may be just the companion—sorry, colleague for you.

Lalafell Male

It is said that a hero lies within us all. In the case of this rather sheltered young Lalafell, one might assume that the hero in question does so under his bed, hoping his harpy of a mother won’t think to look for him there. Will you be the one to coax him out?

Lalafell Female

Does your world want for a wealth of wordplay and wit? An abundance of alliteration, assonance aplenty and a soupcon of sibilance to seal the deal? Well, you were warned.

Miqo’te Female

A lady who knows what she likes, and likes a little bit of everything. Don’t be fooled by her coquettish manner and all-too-apparent charms; in her breast beats the fiery heart of a warrior. Not to worry, though, she’ll be gentle—assuming that’s what you like.

Roegadyn Male

When the going gets tough, it’s often nice to have a big, earnest, slightly credulous friend around—and they don’t come much bigger than this straight-talking Roegadyn.

Highland Hyur Male

Women, wine, war and women. Just four—alright, three of the things which tickle the fancy of this brute of a man. He doesn’t so much stand on ceremony as stamp on it until it stops moving.

So here's the game: Write a small description about your character, as if it was a Path Companion to choose! You can write whatever you want in it, just try to not go past the four lines of text.

Allow me to start this~

Blue:

Impassive, pragmatic, and logical at best. If being stared at doesn't bother you, this Keeper of the Moon is the ideal partner for a long journey across Eorzea. Just remember to be very literal with her, or she could surprise you with less than expected reactions...

Oh, Clearite. I miss my prim and proper Elezen F companion. RIP in peace, love.

If you're looking for a shield to protect you, this one comes attached to an auroch's weight in armor and muscle. This highlander is a little rough around the edges, but you can be sure he'll be fully devoted to insuring that you make it through your quest unharmed. What he lacks in conversation he makes up for in resolve, just... make sure to keep things north of proper around him. Trust us.

Oh, this is a pretty interesting game! I wanna play!

Steel Wolf:

Size, strength and an apparently never-fading smirk. This Roegadyn woman will look for every open opportunity to use her axe and her mouth in equal measure. Ultimately, she'd like to be someone you can look up to. Figuratively, anyway.

Cliaux Rondelet:

If "personal bubble" is in your lexicon, you might want to look elsewhere. This bubbly, bouncy and boisterous Elezen woman will hug. Frequently. She will also be a ray of cheer through any doldrums you or your requests bring. Don't let it all fool you, though...she still has the ability to knock your block off.

Crofte:

Self-righteous, egotistical, and perhaps overly pious. This Knight-on-loan from Ul'dah will be the first to let you know of all your wrong decisions. She is perfect for those who desire a constant life-coach, but to those who walk a less than scrupulous path her baleful accusations may grind on the soul.

If "little hero" is what you're looking for, then look no further than this young Lalafell from the exotic land of Doma! He may be small, and not the sharpest sword in the armory, but he will stalwartly protect you from any and all ills. Just... be careful around him if you're a lady, he tends to fluster easily.

Wait a second here, they already did mine!

"Highland Hyur Male

Women, wine, war and women. Just four—alright, three of the things which tickle the fancy of this brute of a man. He doesn’t so much stand on ceremony as stamp on it until it stops moving."

All right, all right. I'll do it my way:

Nathan Telluride:

Hyur don't come any bigger than this, but if you expect a brute, you'll be surprised. He's got a surprisingly versatile vocabulary, charm to match his size, and natural gifts with the bow, the lute and the range of his vocal chords. He may not be the one to kill the dragon, but he'll keep it entertained while you make off with its loot, and what else could you want?

If you are looking for a companion who will not rest until the job is done, look no further than this Ala Mhigan Miqo'te. Relentless in purpose and personality, this veteran will see you reach your goals. She may be closed-mouthed, but she'll still lend an open ear when needed.

I love this idea! Gotta throw my two cents in. c:

Xheja Rajhera

If you prefer the intelligent strategist type over the sword-swinging brutes in your choice of Path Companion, look no further than Xheja. Yet would-be companions must needs beware:  It takes strong willpower and resolution to keep the reins firmly in hand with this one. Otherwise, by the time the charming, silver-tongued Keeper of the Moon is finished speaking, it's like to be questionable as to just who is leading who in this companionship.

N'hadiya Khei

There's a lot that N'hadiya brings to the Path Companion table - when she's not busy trying to drink someone under it, of course. Stealth, spying, living off the land, and being possessed of a liver of steel are but a few of her redeeming qualities. If your cause is good, this Seeker-with-baggage would be more than happy to lend you her bow. But.. you are footing the bar tab at the end of night, right..?

Jajara Jara

The clang of the forge is her heartbeat, smelted metal her blood: Jajara Jara is an industrious salt-of-the-earth woman down to her very bones. But don't let her penchant for crafts fool you: those in the know know that this Sagolii-born lalafell packs a hefty punch as well.

Delial Grimsong

Skilled at bending words and plying secrets, who can truly say where this silver-tongued Ala Mhigan's goals truly lie? With whim as fickle as the wind, one had best be prepared to work for her attention - as well as her loyalty.

Virara

If there's a burning sensation in your back, it's probably just her stare. An island devotee of the language of fisticuffs, Virara is eager to speak it to everyone. Whether as a bodyguard or practice partner, you could do far worse than to be followed by the agony of her cold gaze. Her hands, however, are sadly far quicker than her tongue... or head.

Alexander Gomez

Naive, a dreamer, but driven nevertheless! This midlander Hyur, who seems to not have much that are note-worthy at first glance, bears a strong will and a heart eager to help those that he can, regardless of their renown. He is friendly and approachable, albeit not one to begin to converse but has much to say once started. He also seems liken to glance at any passing and attractive female Miqo'tes and Hyurs he comes across...

Wa'gozah'a Nunh

Cynical and reserved, this Keeper Miqo'te, raised Seeker, seems to prefer his independence in solitude than in company. Female Miqo'tes and other females, however, may find him easier to approach than do males, who may still find to establish a respectable relation with the Miqo'te. Nonetheless, he will use his power for himself and to ensure the well-being of his comrades... which brings to mind if he truly desires to be alone or not...

Adeya Evenar

Do you need ancient runes deciphered, a new spell created, or something set on fire? Well, look no further. While this Keeper may be small, those who underestimate her tend to find that size has no bearing on magical prowess. Just try not to irk her, as she makes very little distinction between friend and foe when it comes to sarcasm.

Qhora Bajihri:

Sullen and silent with a nigh perpetual frown, why she's helping at all is a matter of confusion. On the other hand, she may be the most dependable companion around, provided you don't expect conversation.

A noble Sworn of the Nation of Thanalan, one can feel safe in his company. This Knight has had years of combat experience, balanced by a keen mind, nurtured by a formal education. As a companion there is none better, but woe to your enemies, this refined highlander carries a darkness with his light.

V'lanya Mei

If witty remarks and a covert distaste for most people are among your favourite things in a companion, then look no further. Quite the conversationalist, and intelligent to boot, you're bound to not encounter a dull moment.
