Hello there! I'm a long-time player who is trying to find my feet RP-wise again after a fairly long hiatus (miniature humans kill your gaming time. Who'd have thought, eh?) so I'm looking for a few guineapigs who might not mind having my rusty RP inflicted on them while I try to get back up to speed. The character I'm looking to find some ties for is a Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te. Rather resentful of the fact that Keeper society promotes travelling and wanderlust amongst only the males, she has set out to explore every corner and ilm of Eorzea, ostensibly to glean knowledge useful for her clan in the future but in reality she just wants to make memories to last her for those long loooooong years she has to look forward to with little but trees for company. At present she is mostly found in Ul'dah and to a certain extent those areas of Thanalan immediately outside it. As a traditional Shroud healer, she spends much of her time gathering herbs and grinding them for salves so other herbalists who might know more of the flora and fauna of the desert would be particularly welcome. She's a boundless bundle of curiosity, particularly about other cultures and likes exploring. Ruins? Yes please. Dangerous places people have been warned not to enter? Even more yes please. She doesn't really have the funds to -pay- for a mercenary to accompany her on such jaunts but at least she can heal any injuries that are inflicted. Probably. I'm also interested in her making ties with Seekers because she knows little of her Miqo'te cousins and Xaela, because the culture of the Steppes fascinates her. If you don't mind your guy being bugged by an irritatingly curious miqo'te with limited understanding of personal space, I'd love to have Nhia meet with your character sometime. She hasn't really met any male Auri yet so that might be quite amusing. Or terrifying. Or both.

I've another character with a (bordering on unhealthy) fascination with romance novels so I'd love to bump into your guy some time. Although mostly in Ul'dah because it has the best possibilities for people watching, she has a tendency to wander. She also has a fascination with Elezen ears, so my apologies in advance for that.

Thank you for the input Natalie, I don't think I necessarily worded my original post so well. I'm not looking to be spoon-fed story or roleplay, just trying to say that although Nhia is technically based in Ul'dah, for the purposes of roleplay I am happy to move her wherever and whenever and that she is open to interaction with any kind of character because her gullibility means she is likely to believe any story she is spun, initially at least. I am looking to make contacts and thus hopefully collaboratively create stories together in the future, not to shoehorn myself into peoples stories as is. To elaborate on Nhia's goals. At present she is mostly trying to acclimatize herself with the world outside her very limited, traditional upbringing. Her social circle before leaving the Shroud was literally a handful of people so I am looking to introduce her to as wide a variety of people and experiences as possible and see what effect that has on her. Other Keeper roleplayers would be a bonus, I really don't know where they are hiding right now! Hopefully that has cleared things up a l'il.

So, after a few months away from the game I find my friends list depleted and myself and poor Nhia here a tad lost. I've never had the best of luck finding long lasting contacts from the Quicksand and all so I thought I'd try my luck here (again). Nhia is based in Ul'dah most of the time although she'd love to be dragged pretty much anywhere in search of adventure and interesting/pretty things. I'm not at all fussy about the kind of contacts made although I'd prefer to avoid the whole maiming/death thing if at all possible. She will interact with pretty much anybody, if they have a story to tell all the better. She is pretty sociable and easy to get along with, although infuriatingly curious at times. She is quite a traditional Keeper by upbringing so any new experiences for her are most welcome! So, if anybody fancies rping with a sometimes slightly annoying Miqo please do poke me.

I'm not a new player but I've been outta the game for a couple of months so kinda lost my way. I'd be up for this, a thousand times. The Quicksand is the main random rp hub here and where I spend a fair bit of my time but off the top of my head you could also try Bronze Lake or the other major cities (Gridania! I vote for Gridania because it's prettier and Limsa smells.)

Nhia has the typical rather shallow fears of growing old and losing her looks, such as they are. She also has almost a phobia of dodos and reacts by throwing things at them or taking a 5 malm detour to avoid stepping into their territory. How do people react to this fear? Well, not with sympathy, that's for sure!

Whee, something I can finally contribute to! I've no idea how many different outfits I have for Nhia. I'm not sure if swapping footwear/hat actually constitutes a separate outfit but I do have stuff for different climates/occasions/moods and I also use dyes fairly fanatically. Nhia has been known to change outfits several times in the course of one rp session and I've levelled purely so I have access to more gear for rp. It's an embarassing admission, but I'm sure I've spent far more time collecting rp gear than I ever have rping.

I'll just add that the one major difference I've found between this community and that of my previous MMO is actually how much more mature regarding ERP it seems to be. I haven't encountered much in the way of witch-hunting and people have still spoken to and rped with me when it's become clear they weren't getting into my chars panties. For myself, I tend to avoid ERP mainly because I've had far too many bad experiences in the past and find it difficult to say no to things/people. I have no issue with it, it's just not for me.

Hai and welcome, person I met in WoW ooh, halfway forever ago. Although I've not rped with her in aaaaages (boo, hiss) I can only echo the quality of her rp and all round awesomeness.
