  1. Why not, I'll update myself a bit here. Character Name: Jajara Jara Character Gender: Female Server: Balmung Dunesfolk or Plainsfolk: Dunesfolk Time Zone: CST What Rp are you seeking? My game-time has been pretty lacking as of late so I am really only interested in very casual RP. Jajara as a character isn't the sort to go out on big grand adventures or anything like that so it works. Comissions for work, fishing trips, chit-chatting in the cities... that kind of thing I suppose. Making friends and hanging out! Usually loiters about in Vylbrand these days, but makes the very occasional trip out to Ul'dah as business demands. Her wiki can be found here.
  2. This is why I can't unsub ever. My Final Fantasy Barbie needs are stronger than ever, hnnNGH.
  3. I still hold that Super Mario RPG is the most fun RPG ever made. Don't give me none of that Paper Mario garbage because I will fight you. ... that said, Breath of Fire 3 really stuck with me through the years. Xenogears was wonky but I absolutely loved it to bits. Persona 3 and 4 are rad even if the student sim bits can be a little ehh. Does Journey or ICO count as RPGs? Because yeah, hands down the best ones.
  4. Jajara is honestly a bit squicked out by the thought of having children but if it were ever to happen, she'd probably want girls. One or two tops, though she would probably end up with three or four just because it's just a thing that happens in her family. Lots of siblings - a little posse of Dunesfolk gals to call her own! Delial has none but she is getting to the point in her life where she...actually kind of wants at least one! But with the sort of work she does and the sort of crowd she hangs with, she doesn't really see her having much time in her life to sit and raise a child proper. Plus the whole pregnancy thing... bleck! Who needs to deal with that?! ... But she would definitely want a girl as well. Just the one.
  5. Very lovely...! I'll be looking forward to catching a slot in the future.
  6. Jajara is guilty of adultery and... tax evasion? OOPS. Delial... has a long list! Murder, thievery, kidnapping, torture, assault, bribery, a brief stint with slavers, and a small helping of arson. No smuggling, though! Smuggling's for weenies.
  7. *ZOOMS BY* Did I hear popopics?!
  8. WHY WAS I NOT TOLD FOR THIS SHOT? Aww Chachan forgive me and don't be sad. That screenshot was taken on November 21st. It was a long time ago. Well, Dhem has re-Lala'd and we have Virara in our ranks now. Maybe we should take a new screenshot to commemorate? Show off ALL THE LALAS. This is an absolutely excellent idea. In the mean time, here is Edda and a handful of lalas. BONUS.
  9. While I did not make millions levelling crafting I have certainly made millions since. If you are smart about what you buy and what you sell, turning profits is easy peasy. There is no solid guide because the markets fluctuate and change. I haven't even tapped into the 3 star junk yet and I'm still making good gil - not as much as others, to be sure, but I haven't invested as much time as others I am sure. Technically 3 star GSM with everything else 2 star but I haven't really gotten into the swing of 3 star junk yet because, yeah, time.
  10. This is a good thread and I support it wholeheartedly. The most supremely awesome Giselle drew me a little thing for my Jajara a while back and it is still my favorite thing. From the art thread Giselle has posted here.
  11. I'm pretty much garbage at Souls games and the only reason I got through 2 (not including the DLC) is because I played almost exclusively co-op with another friend. I LOVE THEM, THOUGH. Really want to play through DS1 one of these days, and very much looking forward to picking up Bloodbourne. Seems like that's the only reason I want a PS4.
  12. Jajara Jara: Also on team Birds Are Terrible. The only one she really trusts is her own chocobo, Dinner, and even then... Having to fend off ravenous desert birds from preying on your clanmates can leave a bit of a grudge! And those horrible sea birds...!! HORRIBLE. An absolute workaholic. She is rarely at ease if she doesn't have one task or another in mind, and often forgoes food and sleep if she has to to get things done. Exists in a state of near-perfect obliviousness, and is often clueless about social clues unless it's spelled out for her. She still has no idea that she has some rank in her free company despite having been promoted months ago. Unsettled by Elezen. Their proportions just weird her out, and remind her of ghost stories she heard as a child. It does not help that her company leader is, while a generally decent person, a bit spooky. Mostly vegetarian. She will eat meat but does not like it especially much, and if given a choice will probably always go for simple vegetables and the like over succulent meats. She dislikes complicated or overly bold flavours and, if cooking for herself, rarely uses any seasonings besides a bit of salt and pepper. Delial Grimsong: Only seems to ever apologize to people she genuinely cares about. That list is, unsurprising to most who know her, very short - but it is far longer than she might care for it to be in actuality. Is mildly claustrophobic and does not take kindly to being bound. She jokes a lot about her friends and such in law enforcement, etc, being kindly enough to not put her in irons but it would probably stop being funny the moment it actually does happen. If she drinks enough, she might start sounding like a 'proper' Ala Mhigan and slightly less like a tremendously uptight jerk. ^ Also she chatters more when adequately inebriated. A lot more. Has a thing for pet-names. Duckling, dearest, darlings and the like are just as likely to be attached to people she dislikes as often as to those she is fond of.
  13. You know how some shows have these little unrelated little segments? I think Delial's thing would be that. A brief, maybe 2 minute thing where she goes on a horrifically bad blind date with a random person of the week. One week she might go to some swanky place with, say, Askier and someone ends up dead because he "accidentally" threw firecrackers all over the place and someone drank theirs. Another week, Gharen might get arrested mid-date (illegal chocobo parking??) and she has to pay his bail. (Or get arrested as well. But for a boy?! PSHHH.)
  14. Jajara Jara The clang of the forge is her heartbeat, smelted metal her blood: Jajara Jara is an industrious salt-of-the-earth woman down to her very bones. But don't let her penchant for crafts fool you: those in the know know that this Sagolii-born lalafell packs a hefty punch as well. Delial Grimsong Skilled at bending words and plying secrets, who can truly say where this silver-tongued Ala Mhigan's goals truly lie? With whim as fickle as the wind, one had best be prepared to work for her attention - as well as her loyalty.
  15. Delial and her partner in crime Saxon Thorne would probs be fishing around for miscellaneous side-jobs that hopefully don't revolve around Big Scary Political Figures and the Pirates They Hate.
  16. Name: Delial Grimsong World: Balmung Character main class/job/role (Optional): Arcanist (or really a Scholar sans fairy) Cards (recommended): Hanged Man or Judgement Reason for Card choice (recommended): Hanged Man: The themes of martyrdom and perspective are very prevalent in much of Delial's life, as is that of becoming a 'willing victim' in a sense (though her perspective on the role she plays herself has been skewed so strongly she might not recognize it herself). Throughout her life, she has played the villain to the benefit of others and to the benefit of a singular greater good she believes in so strongly she cannot see the truths beyond it. Yet she has been forced to seek consider alternate viewpoints, and she has come to question her actions (particularly regarding Gharen Wolfsong and Roen Deneith) as perhaps not quite as noble as she once thought. However she continues to act the aggressor in their defense, satisfied that it shall forever be her place in the universe to be monstrous to protect the hero. The means justify in the ends, and whether or not she will be remembered as a hero (as she believes herself to be) or a villain (as others have thought her to be) is of little importance in the end. Judgement: Crossroads and change are also strong themes in Delial's character. Cause and effect and ultimately consequence are things she tries hard to control but when it comes to decisions she must make of herself, she often is given pause. She knows her calling, has lived it for years, and yet something does not feel right. Whether or not she has indeed awakened to what could be called a higher purpose has yet to be seen: yet Delial will walk on in pursuit of it, trusting in her own judgement to face whatever judgement might be cast upon her. 17. (( What an incredibly adorable idea waaaaah )) Her head was held low and her hands were busy, fingers clenched tight around two hefty canvas sacks. Jajara Jara's footsteps were light but metal instruments clanked and jangled at her sides like windchimes strangled of wind. For all intents and purposes she appeared insubstantial, unimportant, and Jajara carried herself in such a way as well. As such, she took several steps past the lalafellow and his out-held linkpearl-onna-stick before her mind caught up to the notion that the words she had just heard might have actually been directed at her. "Whuh," she stammered ungracefully. "Wha? Huh?" Large golden eyes blinked several times at this strange man (for surely it must have been strange to see anyone dressed so sharply in Ul'dah) while she wrestled with the question that had been presented. "What.. do I like about Ul'dah? I-I, uhhh..." Jajara's eyes gradually eased into a squint as if suspicious, or at least peripherally aware that suspicion might have been an appropriate if not slightly impolite response. "I... w-well, the roads ain't quite gold like what they say, but... but it's gee loverly still, ain't it? Them towers an' all, the... the shapes an' colors in the stone an' tile. Blessed by Byregot's hand, reckon." A strained smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she stared between her fellow lalafell and his pearl-onna-stick, as if awaiting a signal that she might have satisfied... What exactly was he after, anyroad?
  18. Jajara is definitely a hardcore laborer IC so I play her as an active member of all the guilds. She's most established with the Goldsmith, Blacksmith, Armorer, and Miner's guilds but has 'membership' in one sense or another to the rest as well. She is not affiliated with the Pugilist Guild but has been introduced ICly to the Marauder's Guild some time ago. Essentially all of her training in any combative sense was given informally by friends or family. Delial has had her run ins with the Conjurer's and avoids Gridania whenever possible because of it. In her spare time, I imagine she loiters around the Arcanists to try and stop being garbage.
  19. Dat chin. ... also dat writing, yessssss, so good! EDIT: Aw snap, Aya beat me. Always enjoy reading Aya's posts. I have yet to meet her in game but I very much enjoy her presence on the forums. Rock on!
  20. This sums up my view of it. IMO the fact that all the races are considered of the same species or whatever it is the Word of God said makes it a little silly to try and rationalize anything in terms of real-world logic and comparisons.
