I macro the song mixing in words, emotes and harp playing. Generaly this goes over 4-5 macros given the 15 line limit. Song wise I either write my own or find and tweak what I think is a suitable song. If you stay away from mainstream songs and maybe try some folk typs ones you can find some nice ones to suit. I do think many just see the performance as that, and don't read too much the words. So if the words are important then keep it short and punchy? I do at times just do a sample or one verse to suit the mood. Other things you can work in a little macroed songs bites for say walking along or leaving. There was an older thread where some posted the macros they were using, or if people like we can drop some in here? I would love to join a Bard LS.. any details?

Some random tips.. You can get others to join the party to "get in" and they can leave. So if you fancy 2 manning stuff this works. Prepare a different description for the dungeon explaining changes in the environment and creatures there. This helps set a different view of the dungeon throughout and does not hinder play. 90min is still quite a while if you know the dungeon, so do the business on encounters and save RP chat for in between. Remember you are here to RP so who cares if you complete or not? Make the context of the dungeon (the reason why you are there) something different than the game does.

4 ... If you do change companies your old one is effectively frozen, so if you change back you don't have to start it again. If you do change then all your other company items stop working and you start with the new company at the bottom. You can sell CG items back for a few credits. Leveling your new company is not that bad, especialy if you also level an alt class, hit some fates and do the hunting log.

I am one of the "always IC" and even when not I can be IC quickly. So when I approach people, and they are OOC it isn't problem to rationalise. I can put you down as mistaken identity and you become just one of the many NPCs around for my character. For those who are always OOC, I am sorry if I bother you, my memory is useless.

Chocobo "Blinky" Nebbs rescued from gient killer crabs and they are best friends. Mainly now Blinky fights with her rather than be her mount. She tamed a Coeurl that she road for a while, but since gaining a Drake she is set.

I know what you mean, I just laugh at the PF where they only want perfection. Yet if you go in these many are not what they seem. Maybe a LS or get one of the existing PvE LS to wake up? I have not seen a pwning group through DF or PF since I got my 1st relic back before there was PF. In fact I would say the intolerance only keeps rising.

Well mine is a Paladin of a god, and I am not wearing the Paladin gear AF1 or AF2. Instead I mix it up a little and suited up wise either a set of HQ plate or the CT drops.

Hmmm.. all too common, and as these are also relationships all too personal. The answer is OCC, you need a clear OOC dialogue that is about this being a game, what you want out of it and what they want out of it. Then look at where the "win win" aspects are and agree some rules/boundaries. No only does this allow for RL respect and trust, but it also provides a clear set of boundaries for the the RP story. Personally I prefer to be IC and deal with stuff there, but if things get past RP and into "playing the game together" then yes the OOC conversation is needed. And just to add, this is about real people with real feelings and we have added make believe feelings into the mix. So things are never black and white. Remember - Your money, your game, you play for your enjoyment.

Ok gonna wade in.. as a DPS who then did healing and is now tanking also.. and who has mained as tank in other games... Tanking is something you can learn, and expeiance counts a lot after the basics, both of your ability use and the specific dungeon pulls, bosses etc.. Like any class at some point you stop thinking and your responces become natural. Now, the problem with PuG (inc Roulette) is that often others do not adjust their play for the rest of the party. They assume everyone is an leet player (like they mistakenly think they are) and cut no one any slack. Then when it goes wrong blame others. As DPS and even healer you can hide from this more, but as the tank you tend to be the linchpin. However, all is not bad... 1. You are a rare thing, they have to wait for DF but you get in streight away. So be ok with being kicked and go get a nicer group. 2. You can mark and state the kill style. 3. State you are new so others have a chance to adjust. 4. Ask for boss tips and take comments as constructive feedback even if it sounds not I garuntee each run a dungeon gets easyer to tank as you get to know it. I say all that but I hate the lvl 50 DF dungeons as tank, for the bad mouths of others.
