Many would suit, I would say a smaller one if you wanted to help it grow or a larger one if you want more help yourself. I'm biased to Unsung Heroes (link in may sig) but there are many great FCs.

Could I suggest a few questions? What time zone do you play in What level of RP are you after light,medium,heavy? Is your character generally good or evil What is the main IC aim of your character in one sentence? Just some basics that may match you to a FC. I would also look at the Linkshell section on these forums, a lot are also FC. You will get an idea what is on offer and may spot a few you like.

Well, as Nebula's RP in game started as the young fresh faced archer becoming a bard but then had seen her go through through time travel, alternate realities and body swapping, memory loss, raped by an evil version of her mate.., I did my first ever IC marriage and IC pregnancy and giving birth. Yea I know I look back and boggle that it sounds absurd but at the time it seemed to fit and I went along with things and enjoyed it as it was done very well indeed! So I have been thinking what her life would have been like without the crazy stuff and I think I would not be too adverse to remaking her as the young fresh faced bard/healer stepping out into the world. And maybe the new classes offer that opportunity. Originally I felt she would be a travelling bard living a rough life, and this time I think I would give her a happier background and life.

Gosh.. well.. so much.. meeting people you just start to RP with like putting on an old favourite pair of boots! Here are a few I have had the fortune to meet recently, and the truly awesome part is they are not one offs. What I should say to people is that this has happened in the past few weeks, RP is very much alive and out there.. just go look! First Liliro Liro who pulled me back from quitting FFXIV and introduced me to the fun of the Lala, and the joy of two dodgy Lala running scams on folks. And later when I was the main victim in a house burglary. Just go RP with Liliro, but keep an eye on your purse. And even though Zymzymzu (my Lala) is waiting for an alt slot, people still call me Zymzym and I get that happy feeling. It's all Liliro's fault ♥ Second Unsung Heroes, I joind this FC looking to just chill and get a bit of RP. Oh boy! I have been beaten up sparing, I have been threatened at knife point, I have been healed and cared for and each one of them has such great characters that they stick to, the whole experience is wonderful. I also found someone my character can talk to and maybe help (Kyra Tsukino). Next Alothia Starkwood, someone I knew in passing from another game but boy I am kicking myself for having missed them. It started with an over the top compliment at a tavern, and now is quite lovely and funny RP when we happen to bump into each other. The last one was a very heartfelt RP on the Saucer where the Charmer opened up to tell his painful past. I will end with Renna Xai, another RPer I had missed, but once it started the whole RP just flowed naturally. While the in game RP is great and funny, the awesome part is that they opened up the joys of just RP through writing for me again. Just to RP with someone who seems to be on the exact same wavelength is freaky, in a good way. I don't have cakes and hugs enough.. RP is very much alive on Balmung.

Can I recommend to you this LS [soliloquy] There is a gathering of us bards and other performers here and active in performing at events.

Start a topic in the RP forum and each person writes their part of the RP. There are some there already. eg Nebula walked into the shop just on the off chance, and yes there they were the new soft leather boots in the perfect blue. Only there was someone already trying on her new boots to be! Nebula wiped the small grin from her face as she advanced all sweetness and light, "Oh my dear, no no, those make your ankles look fat. Maybe those red ones over there, I think that heel suits your leg curve much better."
