It's because the overriding negativity (if there is such as is the case with most topics that start to become heated are) is the big fat pink elephant in the room. when I say no one says anything, I do of course mean apart from the person/people I am debating with. bottom line! if you feel uncomfortable about something, speak up, otherwise people don't have a clue. We are not mind readers. That's exactly what I mean. I see far more people entirely leave Linkshells or brood upon the negativity and -then- leave Linkshells because of a small group of peoples' general attitudes over arguments that start to overwhelm Linkshells (negativity, not knowing when to stop, things get heated, etc). Sometimes it's because people who are not part of the debate do speak up and no one listens or it's because they're typically non-confrontational people so when put on the spot to do something about it people would rather mouse away ("I don't want to be the one to deal with this drama llama"). And these people usually tend to be the more level-headed people. You start to get people sending /tells about how negative it's becoming etc than to have the big fat fucking elephant get talked about. This. This 100%.

Tellirude is amazing...always positive and he made me feel happy after a devestating IC day in game. So he's one of the good ones.

I would not normally reply to this but as my wife and son, two of the kindest players in the game, are in fact non-roleplayers, living in Balmung, minding their own business and enjoying the game....I take offense to this. They sell goods on the market, buy items, have a home in Lavender Beds and cause no trouble. Calling them parasites...makes no sense. Why....because they don't rp? Oh well. We all don't rp all the time. I know many here who skillfully crush coil turns and raid and play the MSQ, craft, etc. They aren't roleplaying during those times. I know rp'ers who take breaks. Should they be called parasites simply because they aren't exisitjng soley as roleplayers? This sort of rp elitism is just as sickening as raider elitism. Everyone can enjoy the game as they see fit on any server they see fit. And it's a natural balance that swings one way or the other depending on the population. Stop trying to lump people into categories. Social stratification is not wanted or needed. TL;DR: This clown needs to shut it and stop lumping people into categories. Everyone can co-exist peacefully

I want to say kudos first to my new FC, The Free Wing Society. Everyone there has been so kind and friendly and while I tend to be shy, was able to find rp pretty easily with the members. I look forward to meeting more folks ICly and becoming a more acvtive part of the FC going forward. Second, kudos to Elyscia Rose.....the speech she gave at her Eternal Bonding ceremony was moving and inspiring and wish there was a transcript somewhere. It was nice to hear from the player, not the character for a change and many of the sentiments I can relate to. Again, great speech and thank you for giving the folks there the oppotunity to hear it.

Well, I did find a FC that meets Melodia's needs and I'm looking forward to being part of the Free Wing Society. As for Grindstone....count Mel in. She's sort of unleashed at this point and could always use more interaction and even some throwdowns if necessary hehe. Thank you all for the kind words and look forward to getting more rp with her as as I move forward.

I am signing up! I think this will be a good fit for Melodia and can't wait to meet everyone.

Hi. So I have decided to make some changes in my game as things have been....rocky (that would be an understatement) lately. And I need some thoughts? Advice? A hug? LOL.... 1) I am having Melodia step away from the Yellowjackets. I feel like I need her to be a bit more flexible in rp and I admit to struggling to be confident enough to rp as a law official. So, while I'd imagine she could be an advisor, her yellow shirt will be turned in for a more civilianized attire. 2) I closed a number of older rp threads yesterday for this reason and because they were just old. 3) I am also likely to be leaving my current FC as we are a dwindling endangered species at this point with two people online and the leader unable to play for the foreseeable future. That said....I am looking at FC's...rp based ones that do raiding from time to time...progression. But again, I am looking at an rp-based FC. I get overwhelmed by the LS page so any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

LOL This made me laugh because I first thought that when I saw the thread had been replied to. But....I do appreciate Askier's advice as well as anyone else. It was two cents worth reading.
