Rurutani looked into the mirror with a soft smile, his hair trimmed short, the black gone, his white locks back while the eyepatch he'd chosen was a softer red. He sighed, nervously. It had been some time since his days at sea. Being there had been good for him. He was sober. For some moons now he had given up the drink. He blushed as he took in the armor he'd worn. Gods had it been that long since he'd put it on? The shine he'd put it on made him proud. Ye've done good, Flit. Look sharp. She was there. Always would be...the voice in his head, though he'd come to accept her presence. And in the time at sea she'd calmed....become a more sensible perspective on things. The actual Zhi would have slapped this version. "Thank you." He smiled, walking to the windows and letting the sun bake down on him through the windows, the warmth always welcome. He checked the short sword on his belt, the white paladin armor still surprising to him after so much time. He muttered quietly, "Hells, Zhi...if you only saw me now." Relax, Flittermouse....yer gettin' yerself nervous fer no reason. You'll be fine. He looked back and saw her, an idealized and cleaned up Zhi his own mind had created and shaped over time. Nodding to her he took a deep breath and went to door that would exit to the Quicksand and felt the nerves again. What if he ran into....? Hush. Go on. Standin' here'll only drive ye more crazy. Ruru's eyes lifted and with a nod and a deep breath, he stepped out of his inn room and into the late afternoon bustle of the Quicksand.

I think this will be a good opportunity for Melodia and her soon to be bride Alara to get out and dance some.

Melodia is not really in a place to be killed but she is defintiely killable. I have no supremacy over the specter of death and should it happen it would happen. I probably wouldn't fantasia her.....just would put a not in the info box that she was not rp-able as she was dead (as I am too poor to afford a fantasia) Ruru is MUCH more likely to be killed as he lives in that world where the risk is huge. And honestly I'd considered doing it before. Had even thrown the suggestion Zhavi, my rp partner with Ruru and she spared him with big sad eyes lol. I have imagined Ruru's death more than a few times sadly and it makes me sad each time not because he'd be gone but because for his arc it's a trajectory that would make the most sense.

Ahem! I love the hooker skirt damn it! LOL! Anyway, on a serious note, I do like the spring skirt when coupled with the hempen camise top for Miqo'te, but I also would love a mid length one as well. For shorter, I like the acolyte's skirt and foestriker's is always a good one. I try and make the outfits with the skirts a not so "hooker"-y lol! I try to make a cute outfit. For example, my main tank outfit is the protector's cuirass, emperor's new gloves, and the spring skirt dyed white, and the wedding boots. Think someone called it a battlemaiden outfit, which I agree with. .....I am addicted to clothes and outfits. @_@

I stayed up late into today for this to happen but in game I was able to muster enough gil and get me and my in game partner our bracelets to get married so tonight's good thing will add onto it when her and I go do out quests and get things set up! IRL I got two of my applications I had sent out referred to the selecting official. No interviews yet but a step in the right direction. At this point, Denver or Augusta, Georgia.

Oh for both Ruru and Melodia they share a trait only magnified to become the dominant or leading characteristic. For example, Ruru's insecurity and loneliness reflect this in my irl persona, though I am nowhere near how Ruru is. I tend to see that trait in Ruru is magnified by circumstances and how he deals with it by growing more insular and dark toward others is not how I am. If Ruru's way of dealing with his loenliness was like me, he'd just be sad and pout. LOL. Melodia's...uhmm...physical needs... lol....are taken from my own but I play it up for her to almost cartoonish levels and use other elements of her (rash temper, bit of flightiness) to sort of flesh out what in reality is a highly insecure char....damn I made two of them didn't I? :frustrated:

I have seen so many things in QS....parades of people walking loops through Ul'dah and through the QS. I have seen OOC conversations that include "LOL that sux, yo." "xD" and other things similar. The place is a hodgepodge of players. Crafters at the leve desk; new players running in and out talking to Momodi; rp'ers; erpers; and just people there take in the scene. While spammy....buttluck (LOL) seems relatively harmless in the grand scheme of things.

Yes. And I am still learning to cope better....more productively enagaging with people. I often let myself get hurt over silly things or little things or even worse, assumptions. I think lots of what was d here in the thread are good ways to deal with it. And they are strategies I need to adopt. I tend to be a tad bit oversensitive and the way I have started to address times when I feel or believe my feelings have been hurt is to try and express those feelings as early as possible so they don't fester. Fester+me= pouty/moody/whiny. So, I try to talk as soon as possible, but again...I have a long ways to go in improving my reactions and how I take things in the game.

Gods, did you see them when they were all crafting? It was the weirdest, most awful thing. Once I saw these creepy fools all lined up and moving in synch and I slapped them all...each and every one of them. Then in "say" I challeneged them. Said "Prove to me your no bot!" And the creepiest thing I have ever encoutnered in the game when the middle most character's head swiveled to look at me and in "say" the reply came: "I have nothing to prove to you." I bolted immediately.

OSRIC! Hehe he once told me Ruru looked so old when he had white hair. That was a fun moment for me when I barely knew anyone.
