Decorated Hero Found Dead in Mor Dhona It's a shocking state of affairs when murders occur daily in the city-states, but when a decorated member of the Immortal Flames is found dead, it makes one wonder the price to our humanity that the horrible way of life is taking. Flame Commander John Roath, or 'Ironman' as he was known to friends, was found hanging from the ceiling of one of the store-rooms in the recently opened 'House of Splendors' in Mor Dhona. All signs seem to point to suicide - a chair tipped from under the man, no signs of him being forcibly bound, and no wounds. All this begs the question though: Who or what drove this honourable man to suicide? Several witnesses report seeing a couple clad in dark robes enter the House and leave again no more than a bell before the body was found. Was it a domestic dispute? A former lover who came to deliver scornful words that drove this man to his end? Fellow Flames members said that the man had no lovers or companions, so perhaps the darkly robed figures have a more shadowy involvement. Unfortunately, with Mor Dhona gathering focus, Dhoman immigrants and adventurers flowing through daily, the figures may never be seen again. All this reporter can do is wonder why this man chose to commit suicide, and why not openly murdered. With all the guards looking out to protect to growing settlement, the dangers and fears of imperials and monsters from the wild, it makes you wonder if anyone is looking in, protecting the people from what might come inside. Steel Wolf is banned for being neither a wolf, nor made of steel. Perma-ban until more appropriate name is used, or hugs are given.

Ooh. Let me dig into this... Loot from Ludivine would be: Vengeful Fervor - Ludivine's butterfly knife. Bad stats, but glamour-friendly! Deep-scarred wristwraps of [fending/aiming/etc.] - Ludivine's always-worn bracelets. Usual item level and stat things, with a slashing resist bonus. Amalj'aa relic [weapon] - A set of weapons for each class, shaped like Amalj'aa armaments. Shadow-puppet mount - The standard super rare mount. A shape made of shadow not quite a horse and not quite a Behemoth. Another one of Ludivine's shadow-trickery, or something more sinister...? Ludivine Goultard Triple Triad card.

I think it's natural for them to look at the demographics, but the way I see it is that people are going to play Au Ra just for being a new race anyway...mostly. So long as they don't remove Roegadyn from the game because it doesn't seem like many people play them, then all is well for me. Also Roegirls>Catgirls

Welcome to the RPC, hope you find what you're looking for here! If you spot anyone on here you'd like to RP, just send them a tell, it usually works. Unlikely to find anyone who wouldn't welcome the company. Have fun!

Crofte and Evangeline. Not at the same time. There might be too many explosions.
-
I was hunting some random mobs around Mor Dhona when I spotted someone else doing the same. We chatted and partied up to do it, and ended up killing the mobs after our hunt logs were both done. I hope one day to be on somebody's list.

Pride/Pleasure isn't an option on this poll? I suppose all in all Ludivine is guilty of anything and everything that isn't a sexual/romantic crime. And she loves every minute of it.

It might not earn the big ones, but just doing all your daily roulette picks up quite a lot of gil without you realising (on top of the tomes and other things you might get as drops). Also if you haven't done so already, go through the main story and Crystal Tower quests. The rewards for some of them (the level 4 materia in particular) is worth a pretty penny. If you don't have the time to grind through mining or gathering, these things can be handy. I'm sure everyone else here has some better suggestions, but I thought I'd make a contribution.

The Elezen nods, moving around the table towards the bar. As she passes, her hand moves towards Zhi's neck...
-
"Hmm, Depth Cullers, they call themselves. That's the group that captured him." The Elezen pushed her seat back, standing up. "How 'bout I get up some drinks, before we talk more about things. What can I get you?" The Elezen stood there, a smile on her face and her arms crossed. She didn't seem impatient, only guarded.
-
The Elezen raised an eyebrow. "Take it that means you want in? That's fine...but you better know what you're dealing with." She leaned in, hunching over the table but keeping her voice a steady tone so as not to draw any attention from sudden silence. "Oathsworn or not, the kid picked a bad target when he put his stabber into the neck of a Blood Executioner. Heard that he tried to lay low and escape, but got picked up by another of the pirate factions, and now they're organising a trade." She leaned out again, shrugging lightly. "Could get messy, three factions trying to keep hold of him. Reckon that's a storm brewing, and one enough to capsize any girl who gets the attention of one of the other sides. Can't say he's got long left anyway. These people like justice, on their own terms."
-
"You got what you wanted right? I mean, obviously he's gonna hire someone to fetch the kid, but your part is done, so you can get your bit of gil and hurry off home." Ludivine made a shooing motion. "I imagine he'll pay a whole ton of gil to get him back." She whistled. "Window's pretty tight to get it done though, I mean...what they're planning to do with him..." Ludivine stifled a yawn and leaned forward, rubbing the back of her neck again. She glanced around the dimly lit room, the constant noise that raised everyone's voice, yet made everything indistinct and vague. She wondered if anyone was listening in.

Can't recommend this enough. Don't spend your saturday mindlessly grinding for (not even shiny!) tomes. Meet new people! Expect me there, at least.

Looks like a big long queue is forming...but I'd like a softly coloured bust please. Just stick me on the queue and contact me if you need anything. Thanks! -
How did your character learn to read/write?
Zael Aders replied to Seriphyn's topic in Character Workshop
Ludivine's parents were both fighters and leaders, as were their parents; the knowledge to write and make documents and plans was passed down through the family, and passed to Ludivine too. -
Ludivine chuckled. "Loose lips sink ships." She leaned back, thinking. Of course it would need to go further. Where the brat had ended up wasn't going to be easy to deal with, which meant that this kid would either go running off and quit the job, getting some knucklehead to try to deal with it, or... She rolled her tongue inside her mouth, feeling the smooth and rough of her teeth as her tongue traced along them. "People like to talk, especially when they think nobody would be stupid enough to interfere with their business. And most people would back off when they heard who's involved." She grinned and rubbed the back of her neck, sighing softly. "But hey, I guess you can just up and leave when I tell ya, right? What was it? Your job was only to find him?"

If there's space for one more stranger, I'd like an invite.

Let's see if I can put a few in a list... People wanting power to overcome a foe (good or evil) People wanting power after losing something/someone important (good or evil) Someone being tricked into it (see Thaumaturge questline) Inquisitive nature (usually a misguided good scholar/summoner) People wanting to make a trade/gain knowledge (good or evil) People trying to bring someone back to life (good or evil) It generally tends to be that someone loses hope in their own strength to do whatever they're trying to do and end up relying on dark powers. Some might call it cliche, but as far as I'm concerned most cliches exist because they're generally true/probable. Hope this gives you some ideas!

You may have been trying to send mail to people, instead of a message, which generally means a /tell to most people! If it works with your setup, open player search (press o and look for the tab) and search our names, or use /tell [person's name] to chat. If it doesn't go through, it means we're not online, sadly! Hope this resolves your issue!
-
EU timings can be hard with events and such, especially if you work a nine-to-five job, but I'm sure you'll find lots of people from around the GMT area willing to RP or just help you out in the game (myself included!) I'd say it's definitely worth the transfer if you have the coin or time to make it happen. But to be on the safe-side it might help to keep your original character and make a new one (unless you really wish to transfer levels or items). Don't be afraid to find any of us here in the game or send tells!

Host Club | Rendezvous | December Opening!
Zael Aders replied to xelliexell's topic in Chronicled Events
Thanks for hosting! I hope everyone who took part thought it went as smoothly as it felt for me (despite me clipping through everything in one room and having to move to another to solve it...) Looking forward to the next one! -
I hope you already have the feeling I don't want you to go. We only just met ICly, but you seem like such a fun person to be with, and I really hope that whatever's getting to you doesn't get worse. If you feel like leaving is the only way for you to not feel put out, then it might be needed. But please think it over first, I'm sure there are more people out there who like having you around.
