Au Ra Character Creation Screens discussion!
Kou replied to Uninstalldotexe's topic in FFXIV Discussion
We've discussed this before. Genital size is NOT proportional to body size. Remember the gorilla 2-inch penis... I'm not even talking about genital size. D: Just the body mass, man. That gorilla thing makes me chuckle every time... -
Au Ra Character Creation Screens discussion!

"Short Person Syndrome" is a force to be reckoned with. That being said, kinda surprised. 7 feet males and females at (about) 5 feet? That's one hell of a difference. ... .... Dude, doesn't that mean the men break their women during sex? Ohmygod. -
Bless your face for being such a charming soul.

The Summit of Free Companies (Location Set)

Still happening, I was getting the Ball out of the way to find a location. I'll post one up soon. Oh, no worries! Sorry to be a bother. ^-^ -
The Summit of Free Companies (Location Set)
Kou replied to Erik Mynhier's topic in Chronicled Events
Prodding this to see if there's any news on a location? And to confirm that it's still happening? -
......... Dude. Me and K'washi would have a field day messing with people's heads. Though I'd prolly have to leash him to keep him from doing anything too stupid. Q_q He'll never ruin my chances to be in law enforcement, noooo
-
K'washi would be facepalming SO MANY TIMES IN THE MSQ, YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I'd certainly have enjoyed it more. K'washi with his antics and his animated personality, there would be a lot of "Ohcrap!" moments on his face. And all the speeches and the formality and what not? He'd fall asleep during most, if not all, of them. It's too young to be the saviour of the world. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be funny to watch.

Compliments Galore! Compliment The Poster Above You!
Kou replied to Y'lani's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Lani is a super sweet little youngin that I've had the pleasure of watching grow up for a couple years now. No matter her age or her maturity level, she will always be my youngin. Even if her puns are somewhat terrible. -
Me putting in effort and going above and beyond my job title as tortilla maker is not simply me being me. And I guess while that means I'm clearly not doing enough, the other girl putting in the same effort and with the same results get all the praise because, "Ohmygosh, guys, she's so great and friendly!" It is me putting in some god damn effort because I would like to actually do a job that is challenging and not so mind-numbingly simple and you would think my inquiries about management positions might mean that I'm probably interested and totally up for the task. But no, by all means, make the guy that quit the job a year ago a manager. Sure. Never mind the fact that he wanted to quit the day you told me. Let's even forget the fact that he can't even do half the jobs in the place. I'm not even mad that it's not me. I'm mad that it's not someone who friggin' works their ass off and knows the job inside and out. And I can count, on one hand, the number of people who are infinitely more qualified than this guy and who deserve this position hell of a lot more than he does. I'm pretty sure that means I need a new job. The management in this place is a god damn joke. Fast-Tracking to actual career? Yes, please.

Not nearly as much as I'd want, but there's not much I can do. Work and school mean not much time for RP. :c I think I also need to expand my RP circle quite a bit more.

Persona 4 stuff. FQdEzYN1CkI

^ Pretty much this. I've seen what a harmful summit can do to an RP community along with devs that give zero fucks about their RPers, I'mlookingatyouArenaNet. I came into this game not really knowing a thing about the RP community. I'm hoping to use this as a chance to learn about the FCs that are floating about, big and small, and seeing if there's any I can coordinate with.

Banned because REASONS.

I second this. Also because I rly need to RP with you more and I hate that my schedule is so... schedule-like and CLOSED AND GRAH. Thank you, Full-Time Work and Full-Time Student. asd;asd. There's a lot of people I want to meet, I don't even know where to begin. ... I'll just say "everyone." I want to meet everyone. I'm also an unknown in the community, but eh, details!

Vali is banned for beating me to banning Aya. Q_Q TWO DAYS.

Superman, as a character, makes me so mad. I have nothing else to add to this conversation. You're all beautiful people, stay classy.
-
If I wasn't unsure of what my work schedule would look like on that particular day, I would be so, so in. K'washi would melt hearts, okay? Just let me believe that. GOOD LUCK WITH THE EVENT! Maybe I can at least drop by fashionably late to watch!

I'll represent Tribal Relations . I will also probably bring someone along, but definitely put down K'washi Amada. Definite on the +1. -
Interest Check - A Summit of BAL FC Leaders [CLOSED]
Kou replied to Erik Mynhier's topic in RP Discussion
^ Pretty much this for me. I'm one of three leaders for Tribal Relations, which is an FC used for the Lynxfang Pride. More times than not, all three leaders aren't exactly available at the same time. All-in-all, however, I am so up for this. ^-^ -
The Vent Tent - Poor PuGs and Other Terrible Tales
Kou replied to Gegenji's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Not alone in that at all. You pull it, you tank it. Aside from accidental pulls, that doesn't count. It's genuinely something that's put me off tanking before, especially when they have the audacity to blame the tanks in the first place. +1 Commendation! ^ This. As a Healer, I have definitely let DPS die for pulling. I will not go down with you because you're an impatient twat, and unless that tank is actively fighting their damnest to control the fight, I'm not gonna stress myself out. I've got enough on my mind, and I play games to relax. As a Tank, I have definitely made zero effort to fight for agro. You pull it, you tank it. (Unless it's one of those accidental "ohshit, forgot not to stand there" moments, which I've totally done as a DPS sowwietanks ). I am kinda glad I'm not the only one with that attitude, though. Heh! <3 -
So, this following question is not only aimed at Verad, but anyone who also shares this opinion. I ask because this legitimately concerns me. How does one truly run an FC where the OOC leader's character is not the IC leader? Or, where the IC leading character has no OOC authority? Maybe I misunderstood here, but I am thinking about this, and I can't see an answer. For example, if I am an OOC leader, and Kiht is not IC leader, I will still have to closely coordinate and manage with whoever is the IC leader. This will give the person who plays the IC leader a sort of position of authority on an OOC level as well. How can the two be separated in a way that make the FC still function? How my FC is currently run is Kiht and Khloe co-lead the FC together. But we are also co-leaders on an OOC level. In the instance we ever dead-lock on a decision, we would bring in a senior member as a tie-breaker, or call for an FC vote. It has worked well so far, but the FC is just over two months old, and still small. When I ran the Night Blades, my character was in no position of authority. Armi just isn't very authoritative in character, so she was a regular grunt (PR), however my fiance was the IC Leader. You're right, you basically have to communicate very closely with your IC leader to make sure everything is being run correctly.I wouldn't give it too a stranger, but someone who's a friend who's character is more suited for the position. IC officers generally weren't OOC officers because people who played authoritative characters icly may not be very good at actually officership oocly and visa versa. In our FC - those are two different roles. However, things have kind of lined up lately and Ellion recently took over the guild oocly - meaning he's the head ic and ooc and a few of our officers are ICly also officers. This is actually a coincidence. HOWEVER, I don't really see an issue with the FC leader oocly being the leader ICly. It works a lot of time, don't know why people have an issue with it. I've personally run a guild/FC/whatever-you-want-to-call-it both IC and OOC. I'm significantly better at OOC leading, however. IC, my characters tend to wind up in those positions entirely on accident. I've also seen people as both IC and OOC leads. Sometimes it works fantastically, and sometimes it doesn't. I personally believe it comes down to an individual level. Some people are fantastic leaders, both IC and OOC. Some people are power-hungry megalomaniacs that need a good clonk on the head. Note: This isn't an attack on anyone, simply a statement designed entirely for humourous purposes. Personally, I think FCs/Guilds/Clans are run better with a council of sorts. Having a single leader making all the executive decisions is, actually, what turns me off (hey, look, topic!)

How Does Your Character React To Physical Touch?
Kou replied to Dat Oni's topic in Character Workshop
K'washi is... well. I haven't quite thought about it in great detail. For the most part, he seems to be pretty much A-Okay with touch and receiving touch. He gets a little weird if people (aside form his mate) hug him or pet him or whatever else it is people do to him, but there's really no aversion to the average touch. Now, if someone tries to touch his neck, that is a problem. He'll back away (skillfully or not). If permission is sought, he'll let it happen but be pretty tense about it. If it's a perceived threat, however, he goes straight into Fight-or-Flight mode. -
This thread is great. I think I've finally found a reason to use our printer's scanner.

Cliodhna's got this super awesome signature and I love to stare at it in the most innocent way possible, I assure you. And, from what I've seen, seems like a pretty chill person. Helloooo, Chill Person!
