  1. That's the beauty of it being a "Fight Club" done in secret deal Chacha. Erik doesn't bar fight, and his position as the clean cut political motivated highlander keeps him out of Grindestone and bars and all. But this is a secret fight, Erik can cut loose and be a highlander. Chacha can drop the goody goody at the door and break a bottle to cut some dude's head off. Good times. I'm really excited for this. Someone must make BEEF. Eorzea needs a Fight Club. so....erik possibly finds an outlet for his closely controlled highlander bloodlust....... >.> <.< ....is he still gonna be all lusty after he's been bloodied up and on his way home? http://puu.sh/fNl8B/ab087fb046.jpg[/img]
  2. Not always true. This. Some authority figures are little more than officially-sanctioned Joe Schmoes who don't always have that luxury. See: run-of-the-mill swordsman vs. thaumaturge. "Mr. Mage, please cooperate. Uh, pardon, ser, I didn't catch that. You'll set me on fire and kill me where I stand if I interfere? Uh...." In some cases (in other games, that is, I've yet to really experience it here, thankfully) people who RP guards/other forces of the law tend to adopt the mentality of 'I am the lawman here, therefore when I enter a situation, I can't be outsmarted or outfought' which nobody would fault you for if you're say, carrying a couple drunk peasants or street thugs out of the Quicksand, but the problem is when they apply that same mentality to the five halberd-wielding, heavily armored knights around the table, or the arch-wizards over in the corner, and try to dominate everybody. Not that Homeless Joe should be able to bust out the Hokuto Shinken and fight off three Brass Blades, but the law can't win every battle.
  3. Its just a pet peeve of mine. Players that use the term 'mature' but seek rp of a sexual nature almost exclusively are trashy in my opinion. Its like a prostitute calling themselves an escort to make what they do seem legitimate. (I was supposed to go to bed hours ago, I apologize if this response is unclear.) Juuuuuuust as an aside, that statement is a bit uh. Well, offensive. Escorts/sex workers in general are legitimate in areas where they are legal. The career is no less legitimate than any other, as it's up to the worker to decide what they do with their bodies. This is speaking as someone who has willingly worked in the sex industry. That's all well and good, but we're talking pretend prostitutes played by creepy guys on the internet, not real sex workers.
  4. He's not actually sacrifice drawing power, if you look closely. While he only pulls it back halfway, he also pushes the bow forward a fair amount, resulting in a full draw that looks like a half-draw.
  5. I'd like to get on the waiting list, if there's room. I'm in the market for a full-body lineart.
  6. We must've gone to different events, because the one I went to proceeded just fine, decent turnout too.
  7. The whole "if you play a character that frequently harasses or inconveniences people without provocation you must be an asshole OOC" mentality is basically a way for THOSE people to take negative actions against their character OOC.
  8. If you're going to roleplay in a game with established lore only to take huge liberties with the lore, why roleplay in a game with established lore anyway? There are other avenues that allow far greater conceptual freedom if amending a character's concept and/or story is too great a feat.
  9. I'd like to sign up for this as well. The character is Gwannes Oskwell. Non-anonymous is fine.
  10. I mostly use ellipses in the middle of sentences to convey pauses/trailing off. I'm guilty of using ... for silence on occasion, but usually I prefer emoting the fact that my character's just standing there like an idiot with his mouth hanging open.
  11. I'd like to be put on the list too, you can find me online just about every day during normal EST hours (and also abnormal EST hours.)
  12. Oskwell, being the son of a cobbler, normally wouldn't have learned to read, but his brother insisted on teaching him to read and write, even if it be just a cursory amount during his childhood. After he was drafted into the military and since then, he's continued reading on the side as a hobby.
  13. If there's still room, you can pencil down Gwannes Oskwell as interested.
  14. You can pencil me down for that list, I'd love to participate.
  15. Machinists will single-handedly ruin combat RP.
