I tend to not ship actual PC's with NPC's as much as I tend to think certain NPC's are just the pinnacle of manhood. Like my Lord Commander. My sweet sweet Lord and Commander. My King and leader and of all leaders. I may have squeed a bit when he asked the WoL for a drink. You know, when he gave you that hell of a smile.... ...I have a problem.

I've noticed that a lot of people tend to design their characters as catch alls. Like: "Oh well she's really good at magic so I need to make it so she's good at something physical too or else she'll get owned." .....Or maybe she sucks at physical combat and needs a tank. There. You just created an RP hook while having a believable weakness. People roleplay like some mystery character is gonna fly our of the night and magically know their weakness and own them in the Quicksand. It's freaking bizarre to me. People barely get walk up due to shyness, I assure you no one cares that much to do that to you and if they do they probably need to be on your blacklist anyway.

I always really sucked at Pokemon nicknames. Unless they happen in the moment they don't get one.

WE WERE VICTORIOUS. --------------- SIDENOTE: There is currently a bug in the game where if there are 2 pokemon guarding a gym the second pokemon stays at 1 HP and cannot be defeated. I can pretty much wrap up my thoughts with this. It's your character, you can do what you want with it at the end of the day. But if someone unceremoniously kills their character and namechanges/fantasias then my character is probably going to unceremoniously get over them. There's just something weird to me about putting zero effort into ending your character while expecting other players to pull out stops and have massive emotional impacts for theirs. 1. Have you killed your character before? Not in FF but in other RP I have. It was just her time and it felt right. 2. How did your friends take it? They didn't care. 3. Would you not want to RP with someone who may unceremoniously kill off their character? Why? See above.

I could see someone maybe being super attuned to a certain (ONE) deity or element and having somewhat of a resistance to it but on the end of the day fire is still gonna bbq you no matter how much you hold Azeyma in esteem. Sounds weak.

I'm picking up what you're putting down but it feels very hair splitty to me. I get that race locks aren't something you're necessarily in favor for RP-wise but from what's available in the lore I've drawn the conclusion that those not of Hyuran or Elezen decent would be unheard of in the upper echelon of Ishgardian society. Xenophobia is pretty much synonymous with racism to me as well but that's arguing semantics. This is one of those stupid world building details people squabble over that Square probably isn't going to go back and detail on, especially with Ishgard moving in the more progressive direction it's going. Something I see becoming a thing is people being able to pledge to Ishgard as a city state perhaps at the end of the expansion when they release the Ishgardian housing wards. Hopefully, that would open a door to the Temple Knights and the Order of the Dragoon by extension. That's just my speculation, though.

I disagree mainly because I find treating half breed children poorly and looking down on interracial couples as...well. Racist. And between the two most populous and explored races in the city state this exists. From there I pretty much draw that races that would be major minorities such as Lalafel or Miqote probably have a harder time than their Hyuran and Elezen cousins. That's my opinion and thought process from what's been displayed lorewise. Just makes sense to me, I guess.

There's a lot of varying opinions about what holds up as canon but I RP an Ishgardian and the way I normally view it is that pretty much anyone from the Foundation up is either Elezen or Hyur with Hyur being a minority. I wouldn't say it's out of the question to find a Miqo'te in Ishgard but they'd likely be a Brume rat, poor and a victim of a vast amount of racism. Given that you're planning for this character to have a middle/upper class upbringing with family in the Knights I'd say you're pretty much locked into Elezen or Hyur. Miqo'te were featured as gate guards in 1.0 but since the 2.0 game and lore updates we've never really seen any ever featured as any Ishgardian citizenry. As such, it's makes me doubtful that they really hold much, if any of a place in the population. This is, however, my opinion. As a player of a female Midlander, they really are not that bad. They grow on you and IMO are one of the more attractive races.
