The softness of your artwork has this really beautiful and unique quality to it! I have something of an odd character, but I'm really curious how he'd be portrayed by your style, should you decide to give Reaper a go! He's a darker-aligned character overall; fomorian (basically a zombie!) that's umbral-attuned. Hopefully all of the practice helps you! P.S. Do you draw animals, by any chance?

Beautifully written, as always! I was browsing the RPC when I stumbled across this and, admittedly, got excited to see you back in the RP scene. It’s been ages (and anyone reading this, Arin’s an amazing writer/RPer—RP with her)! I’ve got two boys available for in-game RP on Balmung and a third on Mateus/Discord. Although any could be written out-of-game if that’s something you’d prefer doing. Balmung-wise, you’ll recognize Feine. He’s still kicking and still as nefarious as ever; probably hasn’t forgotten Arin despite some memory mishaps and ongoing plotty things—it might be interesting for these two to meet again. Then there’s his somewhat younger brother, Khaz, who’s much more goodly-aligned. Heart on his sleeve most days, cursed and fairly potty-mouthed—but Khaz always means well. If you're at all interested in either of them, lemme know and we can brainstorm some stuff. Otherwise, no hard feelings. Happy writing!

Posting from my phone, beware of odd typos and such! Like those above me have already said, you've got a great cast going on! My in-game hours are usually what keep me from doing much in-game RP with folks. I'm MST and mostly active late-late at night, therefore do most of my RP over on Discord, but if we ever get a chance it'd be fun to do something sometime on Balmung! I'm glad Valence asked that, I had been writing up a short PM to ask something similar myself! Mostly because I always try to learn about what my RP partner enjoys writing, so we can hopefully create a storyline that satisfies all parties. Khaz isn't really bulletproof but he does have the potential to slow some projectiles. I mean, given he'd have a helluva headstart in knowing it was coming. But if he got shot, it'll definitely hurt and if he got shot somewhere especially crucial - RIP, Khaz! His brother Feine, being undead, is much more "bulletproof" by most standards. It'll still do some relative damage (minus any bleeding) but won't actually "kill" him unless he's shot somewhere very specific.

This is such a cute and fun idea! The one emotion even undeath can’t take from Feine is his inconsolable Rage. Whereas his younger brother, Khaz, has proven to possess unshakeable Willpower.

I absolutely second this. From the moment Kaz first posted here on the RPC I remember telling them their artwork was really neat and unique. Definitely would commish something for my own punk-catte Khaz.

I'm gonna just nose in here and say your boy sounds frickin' awesome and adorable! I'd love to see him in action sometime! I'd probably offer up by catte Khaz, since I feel he'd probably be a bit more "pleasant" and funny to have around Rhiki. I use the word "pleasant" very loosely here. ;u; He's become quite grumpy and feisty, and I can't help but feel it'd be rather hilarious overall to have our boys meet sometime if you'd be interested! ...I get the feeling they'd scuffle more often than not, too. I’m basically comatose at the keyboard right now (it’s about bedtime) but wanted to touch on this subject a little bit before I headed off. Personally, I think it’s a very viable concept and shares a few similarities to my character Khaz’s overall concept. Throughout Eorzea there’s been evidence of transformations of varying kinds. We see some connected to Primals as is the case with Lady Iceheart, we’ve also seen numerous transformations in relation to voidsent as well. Heretics have been shown to assume the form of aevis, etc. I think your idea of keeping this balanced by way of some hefty drawbacks is also rather fair, too. I’m definitely no expert on lore but do my research where I can. I’m sure you’ll get more definitive responses from more learned and experienced writers, but there’re my two-bits!

I think we’ve all had similar experiences and it’s admittedly disheartening and discouraging, and while it’s easier said than done, try to keep your chin up. Over the last couple of weeks (or months maybe, time usually escapes my notice) I’ve contacted a few people here on RPC only to be blatantly ignored or brushed off. While everyone’s entitled to writing and socializing as they see fit, I do agree that going to a public event to shoal up in a corner with your immediate circle is... kinda silly. Especially if the RP they’re conducting is publically, which naturally invites others to join in. Either way I’m sorry that you had a rough night at the Gala, but don’t let it keep you from trying again. Not everyone will turn you aside and to be honest anyone who does wasn’t someone you wanted to associate with anyway. Now, in their defense, it’s always possible they missed your post—but that’s playing the devil’s advocate and something I’m not really fond of doing, anyway. Three different people/groups missing your post and attempt to jump into their RP just says otherwise. Things will look up if you keep at it! And while this won’t remedy the situation, you and I could always try to discuss some potential RP together and see if we could work things out between schedules, characters, etc. Either way I do wish you the best of luck!
