This. For the love of everything holy I'm still not sure why this thread (of all the back and forths) is still open. No offense to the thread starter by any means, but it was to gauge where to place their FC. New people can roll on legacy servers just as easily as anyone can go to a non-legacy server. The only restriction is that legacy characters (imported from 1.0) can't be moved from a legacy server. We're all still one RP community, regardless of server choice.

Not a problem! -The event will be RP -The server for this event is Gilgamesh. The Blue Skies group was just making sure people knew that they will be on Balmung once the next phase & launch start.

To be fair, a LOT of the New 52 is pretty shitty. At least, that's my thought.

Another thumbs up here. Psylocke is a character who, for so many years suffered from a bit of "What do we do with her" type syndrome depending on who was writing her. I think Rick Remender (one of my favorite writers at the moment) including her in Uncanny X-Force did a LOT for her as a character and she's doing some big things finally. Also, another 'fave' plug....Uncanny X-Force. One of the few series I'd say I've set out to collect the entire run that Remender did on the book before it was relaunched. Being able to take a team of killers, put together to proactively kill enemies/threats to mutants and make it into a deep (One of the big arcs actually left me just staring at the book in shock) and just generally great to read book? Hell yes.

I agree with everything you said, but this caught my eye the most somehow. I love Black Panther. I think he was discussed earlier in the thread but I want to stress how much I like the character. He doesn't get a lot of screen time usually, but I think that's one of the reasons I like him. He shows up when he's needed but he doesn't hog the comic. He knows what's important and what isn't. While I personally feel that he and Storm's marriage was somewhat forced (Hey! We've got two popular, powerful, single black characters, let's put them together!), I did enjoy their reign (as it were) as one of Marvel's power couples. More than anything, I like that Black Panther (same with Cage actually) is a character who has been steadily getting more of a following as people realize 'hey, this is a really solid character who has earned a place on the A list'.

I like Namor a bit (even if he did try to mess up Black Panther so fuck him...BP is another of my personal favorites) but... Namor came to aid the X-men because 1) at the time Marvel was billing/re-branding him as the 'first mutant' again. So sure, he might have some respect for Scott Summers, he had some personal interest in helping the X-men against the government (read: Norman Osborn) and the Avengers. More importantly 2) Namor wanted to get his groove on with Emma Frost again (that's right -again-). Reading through Dark Reign, there's an issue dedicated to their backhistory, not to mention the fact that they had a psychic affair (sound familiar Mr. Summers?) while they were the Phoenix Five. So sure, Namor's one of several decently cool, sometimes asshole-ish heroes, I wouldn't say he's the kind to do much of anything unless he's getting something out of it. Be it a battle (he does love a good fight), honor/glory, or another chance at defrosting the White Queen (or taking another shot at Sue Storm's invisible panties). Also, speaking of Doctor Fate, I really liked the approach they took with him in Young Justice, even moreso than in Justice League/Justice League Unlimited.

Welcome to the madhouse! I mean, the party...yes, the party. It seems like you're already off to a great start with your character idea, but if you find yourself needing a hand or having a question, feel free to toss it out and someone (especially where lore is concerned) will have or find the answer for you posthaste. 8-)

I used to play trumpet and have sang in a few choirs! Nowadays, I tend to sing to the shower walls or the steering wheel though. 8-)

Awesome to see this here. This is another of the fun little things I try to do over time while I'm putting together a character to RP with.
