Where else would Virtue people be? ^^; Though I'm sad to say I didn't play much... but I did play a bit. And I'm also Canadian. My issue however is different from the 1017... it's more along the lines of... I-was-absolutely-sure-I-was-Legacy-due-to-loads-of-misinformations-and-am-not-so-I-got-all-frikkin-excited-for-nothing-and-can't-play-yet-twelvesdammit.

I believe I read I had to have paid for three month before a certain date. %!"/$%"!/%!"%" internet is never reliable.

They started charging for a few months before firing people and going F2P temporarily. I had pre-ordered Collector's so I was there from beta onward and so I did pay for some time before the free period.

The game is asking me for a pre-order code... I never got one. Thought I didn't need one. I'm Lagacy, registered in september 2010 with collector's edition and cancelled dec. 31 2011... That's easily 3 months. My 1.0 characters got their cool tattoos too. So... Why am I not able to access the game now?

If you pre-ordered ARR, then you should have two accounts, as far as I know. And yes their support seems to be terribly hard to get. I'm also a Legacy player and I bleieve that means I should have early access and extended free period, from what I read, but I never got a pre-order code and am being asked for one. O_O

I realized reading this that I'm NOT a hardcore gamer at ALL. Yoshida the Hardcore Gamer's view of MMO's are worlds away from my own and reading it I was like "dafuq is he talking about?" I'm hardcore in how much time and effort I put into MMO's but I'm so very far in how I see them. I guess I must be... A Hardcore RPer? Still a pretty interesting read over all.

You can also start with Marauder or something to start in Limsa, then go to Gridania at level 10 to grab your Lancer class, just in case.

What I mean with the "because it's cool" is stuff like really special weapons (like that gun-scythe) just screem "look at me I'm special!" to me. I wouldn't have any issues with a dagger or halberd or anything.

Fun fact: In Quebec, we silly people swear through religion. Swear word -Actual word in French- in English- what it is Tabarnak - Tabernacle - Tabernacle - box containing the consecrated wine and host Calice - Calice - Chalice - "wine" cup Criss - Christ - Christ - Jeezus Yeah.. so French and English is pretty much the same, just pronounced a bit different. Anyways, I wonder some Elezen subculture might use swear words related to the worship of the Twelve or something...

As far as I'm concerned, thi goes into the same category as the whole custom race or half-this and half-that thing. First, why? Why is the character using such a weapon? Does it really add to the character or is it just "because it's cool?" If it's the latter, I'm not gonna like it. If it's the former, no problem. As a side-note a gun-scythe is pretty easy. Add a scythe blade to a long rifle like a bayonet and voilà!
