Sylvie is... well, not exactly trusting of many people. Her chosen weapon of the spear is around where she wants to keep others until they pierce her defenses. She's trying to overcome them herself, but it's taking quite some time, and with the hidden machinations, real or imagined, of those she encounters, that trust will not be so easily gained.

Multi-game Guilds/Leagues/FCs Why would I commit to a group that can't commit themselves and will die when NEW SHINY MMO comes out? No, I don't care that you're the exception. I've seen it happen far too much from people who said they were the exception. FCs that immediately recruit newcomers/Spam invites to FCless people Just means you want big numbers, not people. Insert Patrick McGoohan quote here. FCs that require an out-of-game commitment to join/maintain spot in FC I have no problems doing things for the FC in game. I have no problem going through a recruitment process in-game. The moment you ask me to fill out an application on your website is the moment I know you're not really interested in having me there. There is absolutely nothing on that form you could not ask me in-game where I would be far more available to answer said questions. And as someone put earlier in the thread - I don't need yet another website to join for nebulous reasons. RP-friendly Stop kidding yourselves. FC Officers instigating drama Sadly, happens entirely too often for me to not mention it. Drama happens, I can usually sit back and mock it. I only pre-order when I know the game will be difficult to find physically, or if not pre-ordering will end up costing me more in the long run. (aka fuck you Atlus/Aksys/ASW) There are games I would pre-order, but I refuse to patronize Gamestop as much as possible (I don't mind the other large corporations, but that one specifically can go take a hike). My RP is almost non-existent at this point so 3.0 won't change much. Kell isn't involved much into the goings on of the cities. At best I'll have to find a way for him to cover up, but then again, DRAGOON AF COMPLETELY IGNORES THAT COERTHAS IS COLD AS FUCK SO.

Biggest problem I have with Coil is opportunity to practice. If I join up through PF or Duty, I'm here to win. Actually practicing with a group is a luxury afforded only to statics/pre-mades/etc. I'm personally hoping Normal mode will be that, and Hard will be genuinely hard. HOWEVER, considering how they did HM to EX, I sincerely doubt they'll even be the same fights. Anything you do in Normal won't count, etc. etc. Just... hope they got better ideas for encounter designs. Or else prepare for divebombs in Alexander raid. Also, I honestly do not know what they're gonna be doing if Floating Continent is the 24-man. That area was super forgettable in FF6.

This all depends on the kind of content you're doing. Personally, I don't consider myself an OT when I roll in 24 mans. I'm an EMERGENCY tank (and it is sometimes necessary as last night's ST can attest ). So I do keep Defiance up and try to apply the debuff because PLD -> WAR in most runs I encounter - so you may as well help the things do less damage. It does less DPS overall, but you're not there to do top kek DPS. You're there to pretty much be a backup tank. NINs will apply Dancing Blade so if you have 1 NIN out of 15 DPSes don't bother with Storm's Eye. With Combo it has 10 more Potency than Path but again - we're not there to top kek DPS and overwriting buffs about as stupid as e-peen threat fights. I'll let other people field the questions because I am not a good tank. Except this one. Typically, I'll pop Berserk as often as possible UNLESS I'm OT. Berserk is a surefire way to pull threat. You just do THAT much damage. I'll put Berserk on once the tank's out of possible threatsteal range. You'll learn to gauge that as you run but typically at 50% you can't pull threat from them unless they're that bad, and chances are if they are they will had lost threat a few times to DPS.

I have the same feeling - It'll probably be more "reach this area in the expansion, accept the quest, do the thing, here you go" than a specific combination of classes. I'm safe anyway because I have everything over 30 but still.
