  1. Why not both together? Ketchup if I can't. Healing or DPS?
  2. ... Marry me? Suikoden 3 is love. <3 And yes I agree with Lilly and Chris' garbs. I'd also like to see Chris' traveling gear or something akin to it.
  3. More hair, particularly ones that DON'T have the bangs eating the entire forehead (I only like two of the Au Ra styles because I get this insane urge to cut back the bangs every time I look at the others), but just more casual clothing in general would be amazing.
  4. I'm going to be leveling Lancer and Archer in prep for Machinist which is the class Grish'a is going to become. I'd be happy to start something though! I haven't really been a part of any plots in FFXIV and I'm not sure how one would operate here. I'm so paranoid about breaking lore lol. Why the revamp after Heavensward? Lost interest in the character mostly due to various OOC reasons. I haven't been able to regain my former interest, so rather than delete her I was thinking about using a fantasia to make her something else. And I hear you on the lore, lol. I get worried constantly that I am doing the same, and sometimes just have to take a deep breath and let the cards fall as they may. Thing about FF14 is that there really is no solid compendium of lore out there so unless you're willing to read all the quest dialogue, even the random stuff between objectives, and all the leve quests it can be hard to see what is lore breaking and what isn't. We have an awesome lore forum here however for when you're stumped. ^^ And yeee! Either Sae or Enla work for me, we could work something out and see how either of them work off of your characters.
  5. I've been rather lax with RPing myself and have been meaning to delve back into it now that the fight to get everything ready for Heavensward has died a fiery death. Currently I only have two characters capable of being RP'd, with Cylin probably being revamped once HS comes out. However I'd love to bounce them off of yours if you're willing! ^^
  6. Enla was essentially kicked out of service with the Wood Wailers due to her sudden onset of blindness and the pervading tensions between perceived tribal Keepers of the Moon and Gridanians as a whole. (Basically it's complicated.) She's only beholdened to her mercenary group in the loosest sense and unless they ask her to return she has pretty much free rein to do as she pleases, within reason. Even then, if her mercenary company tried to restrict her movements to Ul'dah where they are stationed she'd rip her contract apart and not look back for a second. It also helps that Eorzea for as large as it feels it should be, isn't that big at all. There's an NPC in Horizon that states that they made the trip from Gridania to that outpost in a day, though it clearly almost killed both them and their chocobo due to exhaustion. Factor in airship travel which has probably become less restrictive in the years since the story started and I wouldn't be surprised if it really did just take a day to get from point a to point b. Which means that even those who work for strict groups could in theory use their days off to go wherever they honestly pleased without too many repercussions. Point is, if you really -really- needed to fish for an explanation there's almost always one to be had even if you want to play the idea straight and mainly keep your character in the general area of where their job has influence.
  7. As a healer I do expect other healers to occasionally add the the DPS, even if it only means putting down an Aero or an Aero 2 and keeping one of them up as much as possible during the fight. With that said however, healing does take priority and if the tank can't take any hits then your first job is to heal and leave the DPS to someone else. Stone is a good way to run out of mana in those sort of situations and should be stopped unless the fight mechanics require a DPS check you don't think the group is going to meet. That said, sometimes there are tanks out there who think it's fun to put on horrible gear 'for the challenge' or even bots who sneak by. (Oh dear god, Toto-Rak with a bot for a tank is BRUTAL.) Just have to roll with the punches, and if it gets too bad it's usually best to just leave.
  8. lol, yes it was. I'm waiting awhile before doing any more DA work but that game series is one of my favorites so you can expect to see more at some point. Thank you!
  9. This ship... THIS SHIP. Nick and Enla, being cute when everything says they won't be.
  10. WIP so far of Nick and Enla from an RP event a few weeks back. <--- Slow.
  11. Good luck to you but... Was a call out really necessary? I hope your time going forward is fruitful, but dropping names isn't going to help anyone.
  12. When a screenshot is too pretty not to edit.
  13. Dear tank, If you're going to be derpy and mess with a run for your own amusement, do not expect any respect from me. You're the second tank I've met who has done this and have earned a place of eternal scorn. (Oooooo, scary I know. Not, but a healer can dream.) Seriously, if you're going to do a troll run - especially - in Coil, do it in a group of people who you've queued with who can stand it. Not with a DF group. Sincerely, The stressed healer who just wants to farm the Turns for materials and go on with her day.
  14. This is pretty much how I handle it. The lore's theirs to define, and when we play in grey areas, the possibility of getting steamrolled always exists. When that happens, you have to find a workaround or retcon if you want to stick with the lore (and thereby maximize your RP opportunities). Pretty much this, and most of the people I'm involved with on a regular RP basis aren't the kind of people to hold it against me if I retcon a few things about a character's background. That and I try to work with the lore as much as possible, rather than around it, so I'd feel too weird about keeping fanon when canon is actually available. I tend to also view RP backgrounds as fluid, much like how a character of a novel would be in the first few drafts. Yes I would expect some rigidity on the basic concepts, but if another idea pops up that works BETTER for the character then I have no issue either retconning my own works or watching other people do it to their own characters. It isn't as if we're all writing novels to be published where just one consistency can make or break the narrative. Though no matter what, if I'm going to make a change I always converse with the people I'm most involved with RP wise before implementing it. That way we're all on the same page and agree to the changes, and/or can discuss if they're even necessary.
  15. Had a healer during T2 today who literally could not deal with the fact that most DF groups these days automatically go for the enrage method. This person was kitted out to the MAX, had a zeta and everything, and still rather than wait they decided to bum rush the boss and hope that others would follow at 5-7 Clicks... Whelp, everyone just stood there with their mouths open as the gateway sealed and this scrawny healer was laid waste to by the ADS. What do they do immediately after dying and the gates unlock? DQ entirely. I only noticed after the fact that they had done almost nothing the whole dungeon, because it was harder to heal than it should have been for dual healers leading up to the ADS phase. I get accidentally queueing, believe me I do, but please if you're in the instance either see it through to the end or tell people it was an accident and leave... By waiting till the last boss we didn't have enough time for another healer to queue in for the fight, and I had to heal it myself. Which I'm capable of apparently, if I remember not to accidentally spam Cure 3 instead of Medica next time, but it was unnecessary stress.
  16. Not to disagree or anything on this point because "if you want the gear so bad, play the role" is the only reason why I queue t2 as BLM anymore, but similar to this is the cases where I've been in a raid (WoD in this case) and been on the class I wanted upgrades for (BLM) only to have another BLM who was in full Ironworks augmented roll need on a drop (I forget what it actually was now, may have been the hat?) that would have been a boost in gear for me. Seeing that utterly infuriates me. It's not that fucking hard to check gear of other people sharing your role and be a decent fucking human being. It's why I always check gear when running T4 or T2 or lower level things, if the other person is really new, at level, or just barely better gear, I assume they haven't gotten it before and will roll greed. i130? I will more than likely greed just to be nice since glamours are a thing, but otherwise I will need it since i assume they're doing the same since more often than not I'm only there for glamours in the first place. Edit: WOW. THOSE SPELLING ERRORS. I'm so sorry for that...
  17. Holy CRAP that is useful. Excuse me while I take that. Sometimes it doesn't like to work sadly, the wait text that is and it's usually after I myself die, but most of the time it works perfectly fine. If anyone could suggest a way to make it better and more fool proof, I'd really love to hear it! I'm going to mess around with it a bit, so if I come up with anything I'll definitely let you know. It's brilliant nonetheless. I can't take credit for it. I yoinked it much the same. Still if you could find a way to improve it I'd love to hear it!

  19. Mine aren't anything special honestly. [ ] - Indicates that I'm using the translator, if you actually use this take it out and replace it with the proper ingame indicator. /party [swiftcast] used! "Time to move it!" /ac swiftcast /wait 60 /party [swiftcast] is now available! Wait /60 is there because in the past I have had trouble with people assuming I was able to Swiftcast + Raise them when I truly was not able to do so. This way it tells people when I have the ability once more and prevents some of the griping I saw in the past... Somewhat. /ac raise /party "Take that foot out of the grave!" ( [Raise] used on !) Just a simple R aise macro. I found it's better to separate Swiftcast and Raise, but that's just me.
  20. I really, really enjoy reading the vast majority of Desu's posts particular on the debate threads. So glad they're back! And I also echo their sentiments.
  21. None really, most of them I can just queue up on Netflix and enjoy the fact that they are now over so I can watch every single episode without having to wait for another season to be cast. The only one I truly regret is Firefly, but the way Fox marketed that show it was doomed to fail irregardless. I still haven't watched Game of Thrones or read the books, but like I hinted at above I'm the kind of person who REALLY hates starting an unfinished series. Like, despise it to the point where I outright avoid titles that fall into that category. I might be old and grey before Martin ever finishes, but damn it I want to marathon the whole story rather than get to where it has ended now and wait several more years for the next two installments.
  22. Part of me is worried this might just be the prelude to another video game crash, with more and more titles over the years homogenizing and chasing more impossible profits than in years past. Such as when Tomb Raider was deemed a commercial failure in spite of selling more than most companies could ever dream for their products - the reasoning being that in spite of that the cost of making the game demanded a higher profit from it's sales. Konami, a company with such beloved games falling to the wayside like this doesn't bode well in my eyes - though by all accounts this is most likely a case of mismanagement and the company heads being far too conservative and wishing to focus on their home market... Still, I can't help but shake the niggling feeling that this is going to be a trend over the next few years. Most likely just me being a chicken-shit however and jumping at ghosts that aren't even there however. Wouldn't be the first time and won't be the last.
  23. I love that they have so many characters and seem to be able to keep a head for each of them. I can barely juggle three, and one is on a hiatus that she might never recover from. Mad props.
  24. As much as I was looking forward to Silent Hills I'm hopeful that this will actually give those properties a chance to be put under new ownership. Suikoden in particular needs a revival.
