Thanks for the reply! We are not exclusively looking for just Ala Mhigan sell swords. We want a diverse group to interact with. Even if you have characters who don't fit into their niche we love to have folks of different values. Though many groups like to be of like mind and even race, we enjoy the diversity and the unique RP opportunities that come from it. Recruitment for us is secondary to just finding great folks out their to RP around with. Just wanted to let people know that we are. I'll keep an eye out for you! Oh. How could I forget this. People roleplaying as major NPCs. The known main Scoins, Heavenswards knights, Iceheart ect. Canon characters basically. I really find it disrespectful to fuck about with SE own creations :< Not afraid to admit I will avoid interacting with these type of people.

While our roleplay group has nothing to join in terms of membership, we do have a heap of Ala Mhigan sellswords within our group. Sadly enough I am not one of them, but everyone loves making connection in our merry band of people. So if you wish to roleplay with us someday, I am sure we can figure something out all together if you are up for it

Just a minor thing with Astrologians, you sort of had to travel to Sharlayan in the past, or be a Sharlayan to know that craft IC (the magical way, not the "I stick my nose in books and read things from the stars for dragon attacks" the Ishgardians did in the past 300 years. Just the Sharlayan way has been introduced recently, but you are aware of that no doubt!). Limsa for example had never ever seen of Astrologians! So I'm sort of certain the Ala Mhigans probably didn't know of it either, seeming they appear to have monks are their thing, whereas Astrologians are a Sharlayan thing. But that is guessing work currently of course. So if you want to have it as a thing in your past, or your friend, keep that in mind!

Cannot say I have. In truth my FC is just an OOC FC. Or rather semi IC, but everything happens in the Linkshell regarding chatting, organising roleplay and all that. However. I have heard people expressing the same concerns what is a shame. That said I'm horrible at forgetting to simply roleplay with people D:

Cannot blame you. Figuring out lore is sometimes a pain in the butt in this game, especially when you are new to the scene. Lore in leves, job quests, obscure sidequests, fates ect x_X It is sometimes really a pain to figure everything out. I'm just really happy I played the game a long while before I started to roleplay myself, so I had plenty of time to soak in the information. It is a shame there is no wiki, but people here on the RPC are happy enough to help people out with these little things! That said, it is great to see more Ala Mhigans around! Virella might dislike them (despite being together with one in secrecy), but I love seeing them roleplayed! Edit: If you are ever up for some roleplay, I'm totally game for it! I admit, tomorrow evening I am stuffed with some event already, but besides that, I got nothing planned

Looks good, except for one little thing! Being a white mage is generally considered to be a no no due to the Padjals being basically the only ones being allowed to wield succor, and they are set upon keeping their secretive magic well guarded because of the elementals' wrath. Sadly enough your characters as seen in the storyline, is seen as the sole exceptions of being a white mage at this point. Chosen ect. And with Heavenswards, as far as I know, nothing has changed. Technically seen there are only the Padjal, and the Warrior of Light, who are capable of being white mages! Elementals are dicks, and so are the Padjal for keeping succor away from being taught on a massive scale. Of course it is your characters, and you should play her as you wish. But sticking to conjurer is really not a bad idea. They can be just as powerful. But once more, your character, your choice! Just that people will go dafook IC if you claim to be a white mage, while not being a Padjal, and declare your character to be a lunatic ect! Of course you could roleplay one without telling people you are a white mage to avoid the IC reactions, but being a conjurer would make things just as easy!

Maybe Harbringers of Dawn? I've heard good things about them, and I have some friends in there. It would really help if you told what sort of LS/FC you would be looking for. There are just too many with different themes to just to throw around random suggestions

I would really, really suggest trying to twist away from the World of Warcraft version in a way. Ditch the language for one, seeming Eorzeans all speak the same language ect! That said, politics in this game are a different type of game compared to WoW as well, so I would strongly suggest rethinking the whole part of who you want to act hostile to. In truth I think this could possibly be a lovely concept, if you turned it away from WoW settings and ideals, and turn it into an Eorzean one

Hey there and welcome to FFXIV RP! Just one minor thing I would keep in mind. Ishgardians were sort of known for executing au ra in numbers, so I'm not sure how... logical it would be for an au ra having grown up in Tailfeather! However, it is your character, so do as you want. But seeming you are new, and that little bit of lore is a bit hidden away, I figured you may want to know before you have Ishgardians shouting heresy at your backstory Good luck with finding people to roleplay with! Both have their ups and downs, however you will simply find more people on Balmung. Take that as you will!

- I absolutely despise any 'normal' romance. I want passion. I want drama. I want things to be complicated. If it is just your standard kissy face roleplay, I tend to get super bored super fast. Not that I have anything against people who do it, it is just not my thing. - I like torturing my characters. I do not think any of my existing characters I have a particularly happy ending for them written. If roleplay leads up to it, of course I will change my mind, however it ain't my thing, happy endings. - I can't roleplay male characters beyond a few concepts; Unless you want them to be n1 douches, or undead, I few I'm not going to be the person to roleplay men. - Most of my characters have been magic users. With a few exceptions. I lubs magic in roleplay. - Elves/human relationships ALWAYS end up to be a theme of most of my characters. And I'm not even doing it on purpose. - Adhering to lore is a big thing to me. If people don't there is a big chance I probably won't be that enthusiastic about roleplaying with them. Of course grey areas can be filled in, as long as they make sense! - I can't do apprentice roleplay. Done it a few times, and gods, I hated it so much. - Guilds/FCs don't do it for me. Never have on any MMO. I prefer good friends who I can rely onto over any guild/fc. Especially after I've seen on another MMO guilds just turning into cliques, and stamping down any sort of random roleplay in cities.

If people want to rp with me, I generally do it ASAP. Else I will just forget about it. These days I will try to conjure up excuses why Vi wouldn't be in Ishgard, but I only come as far as her going to Mist/Limsa. Else I'm really, really, just going to forget about roleplaying with x. That said, if I find people interesting, I will just try to bump into them IC one way or the other. I never had much issues with initiating roleplay
