  1. I have no idea what either part is. Counting the earliest I can remember: Bobble Glen Osmond.
  2. Wowee! That is the most original and inspiring character ever! Gee whiz! Hi and stuff. Hope you'll be keeping your eye on this place for some time to come. :ahriman:
  3. I figured Louisoix's spell affected anyone present who was touched by the Echo. In fact, that it was the Echo that made it work. Therefore the numbers could be anything. Of course, those with the Echo not present at the battle wouldn't be sent. The spell had a radius. Thus Minfilia and others (Rhostel >_>) who were elsewhere would still take the slow path to the future. Of course, that's a problem for those who RP as not having the Echo but want to be timeskipped. :\
  4. Oh, yes. Someone please bump that thread? If I could, it'd already be done. :\
  5. Well, Miqo'te names seem to mostly be 'random strings that look like garbled Japanese' apart from the apostrophe rule, so I think you're okay.
  6. *falls to pieces* HOW CAN EVERYTHING BE SO GOOD?
  7. I wouldn't mind changing Rhostel's surname, come to think of it. I picked a Scottish one (Donlan) because I had no idea what Highlander surnames should be like, and now I barely have any idea beyond 'that was probably wrong'. Still, it's never been used in RP, not that I've RPed her much anyway. Even if I had, I have an excuse (using a pseudonym to draw less attention to being an extremely rare Highlander woman) which need no longer apply. It's just the only example I have to work from is Aldynn.
  8. This works perfectly for Rhostel's height.
  9. T4xbQ4cywlM OOPS WRONG THREAD. I JUST REALLY LIKE THIS BIT FROM THE LION KING.
  10. Must try not to come across as an annoying fanboy. Hey! Good to have you posting! :moogle:
  11. Burmecians plz. They can be a more civilised and elegant offshoot of the Qiqirn from the Garlean continent or something.
  12. Breakin' down those barriers, one shirtless picture at a time. So you are in fact building up to actually showing us Ship's junk after all?
  13. *cough* covered that with my second sentence *cough* Anyway, it doesn't matter what we pick, so long as we all end up in the same place. I would not care in the slightest if the first person to complete character creation decides it arbitrarily and the rest of us simply follow. That's probably the most serviceable way to do it.
  14. I figure we'll probably end up coordinating this over Skype while making our characters. And then we can post the result here as soon as some kind of decision is reached for those who aren't in the conversation at the time.
  15. I think Aysun meant 'we' as in 'those of us with Legacy accounts, who account for a very large portion of the current membership of this site, and anyone who applied and was lucky enough to get in'. And maybe some of us would be willing to field questions privately to non-participants in the Beta so long as they're discreet and keep that information to themselves. Who knows?
  16. This fills me with glee! :moogle: Look at them wavy locks! EDIT: Ugh. Was gonna delete this and put it in the other thread, but apparently I don't have permission.
  17. Your avatar looks like Aysun, and your title is Dance Commander? I see potential for confusion in the future.... Though as a fan of Electric Six, I can't disapprove! Welcome!
  18. I just want to cheer this on, and hope to see some awesome/hilarious pictures! I didn't step forward for either part because of reasons, but I do think it's so cool that it's happening. Makes up for my failure to go ahead with the art trade I mentioned to follow up the previous one I organised. That was also for reasons. >_>
  19. Pugilists are about as Thiefy as Marauders, in other words. Their guild is known for activities that could be considered criminal, but are technically a legitimate establishment in their home city. They're light armoured and nimble, in contrast to Marauders, but are considered the far more legit of the two. They don't technically steal from those they're beating up and taking payment from, like those pirating Marauders. However, Pugilists are almost certainly the prime candidate for a Gambler Job. Their guild is the number one gambling house in Ul'dah, which in turn is the most vice-enabling city of Eorzea. My guess is that a Gambler Job will be added with or after Gold Saucer, and the quests to unlock it will involve the Pugilists Guild's investment in or rivalry with GS. Besides, a martial-artist character type with a gambling theme has precedent in Final Fantasy: Tifa's slots Limit Break mechanic. Who's from the same game as Gold Saucer. Okay, calling it now, Gambler Job quests will reference a master named Zangan.
  20. Oh man. I hope some people at SE get to see this. The feeeeeeeeeels.
  21. Heya! I kinda sorta vaguely recognise you from the GW2 RP community. Welcome!
  22. I'm okay with being a moderator. I think such a role needs to be mostly hands-off and relying on words backed up with reason more than authoritative action. That's pretty much how I conduct myself anyway. I'd rather piss people off because they felt I didn't act with enough force than to frighten people because I used unnecessary force. And I've got over a decade of internet debating experience. That seems to be the kind of moderation most people want, so if people want me to do it, I will. It's not something I want, but I feel helping keep the community healthy in this way is a worthy endeavour I'm actually capable of. If I don't get appointed, that's fine too. I'll try to be helpful to the actual moderators nonetheless.
  23. Rhostel has dusty pink hair, a couple of shades redder than Lightning's. It's natural.
