  1. A couple more came to mind: 1 - People who include smileys in their RP lines (they're rare, but they're there. Sthap!). 2 - The hipocrisy with which people wave the "lore" flag. I get told that RPing the MSQ is against the lore, that RPing a WHM is against and lore and that the devs said so and so.... This couldn't be furthest from the truth to me. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Those who respect the lore the most are those who RP being the WoL and the job he/she is. I'm not against those who decide to disregard the MSQ and who the game tells us we are, but I think it's time we acknowledge that deciding to NOT be the Warrior of Light IS a form of lore-bending. The game says you are the WoL, so if you decide to be any average joe, you are not following what the lore tells you. And that is FINE, of course, but for this same reason, it is also fine to decide to RP a WoL. Lore and "devs said so" really shouldn't be used as weapons against anyone, because we all are bending lore a bit someway, no matter in what shape or form. So let's stop considering one side or the other inferior or disruptive or more lore-breaking than the other. Let us embrace the fact that for the sake of enjoying RP, lore needs to be bent someway, and that it's nobody's fault, only of how the game's story was set up (FFXI for example didn't have this Chosen One issue, the adventurer was just an adventurer who happened to be at the right place at the right moment. It was never a case of "you have this special power, save us!", but more a case of "Oh, an adventurer. Just what I needed. Do this for me!").
  2. Jet'a's: - Xenophobic, involving all its variations (racism, omophobia, distaste for inter-racial/inter-clan relationships, etc.). - Highly judgemental. - Introvert. - Asocial. - No sense of humor. Blue's: - Overly naive. - Incapable of reading expressions. - Scarce understanding of social conventions. - Has no filters whatsoever. - Physically weak on all fronts. Ask her to lift a crate and it'll be like she caressed it.
  3. I have been RPing a WHM for months and never had issues with anyone. The tricks in general are: - Don't flaunt it. I have been wearing the WHM AF IC, but I don't go around saying "I am a White Mage!" unless people ICly ask me. And if they ask me, it's generally because they are OOCly okay with it. - If people call you "conjurer", don't get irritated/correct them. White Mages are still conjurers. You are still a member of the Conjurer's guild, so if people are more comfortable with calling you that, just nod and let them. - If they ICly/OOCly tell you you are not a White Mage/can't be a White Mage, shrug it off and walk away. Nobody can tell you what you can and can't RP. I RP a White Mage in a group with two other IC White Mages. How did we do it? We had the Hedgetree give three soul gems and not one, and we performed the Quieting together instead of just The Chosen One + two Padjali WHMs as the quest intends. Are we open to think there are more White Mages out there ICly? Yes. We do not ICly or OOCly think there can be just one soul stone, and Quieting rituals are necessary more than just once, so it's perfectly legit for us to walk and encounter others who did just what we did. Minimal lore bending (three stones instead of one) and common sense (the Quieting may be needed again at any given time) were enough for us to make, to our IC/OOC perspective White Mage a class accessible to more than one person without much trouble. So again the two rules to follow to make sure you don't offend those who don't agree with this is: don't mention being a White Mage unless people directly ask you (it's taken as flaunting, but do wear WHM AF if you want, apparently that isn't perceived as such for some reason), don't forget your Conjury roots and don't get into arguments with others ICly about it. Be confident in yourself, and if ICly accused, simply state something along the lines "I do not need you to believe me, I am at ease knowing the truth.". But again, people will hardly ask you if you are a White Mage unless they are already okay with it, because normally people don't want to hear what they don't like. "But what if they ask me what I do for a living?" Simply give the same answer conjurers do, because White Mages do exactly the same thing. Wander around, heeding to the Elementals' will and bestowing healing magick on those in need. Or, as Blue would put it.. "I am an adventurer. I help."
  4. They can be both. They can be things that you have roleplayed and that you feel NPCs would notice enough to talk about, or they can be foreshadowings of an event you're setting up (ex: your character is about to get married? "I heard that merchant's daughter finally found a bachelor!"), or they can be things related to your character (ex: your character is an Au Ra in Mor Dhona? "It seem a large number of those horned humanoids has arrived in Mor Dhona..."), and so on. It is a tool to both allow others to hook to your plots, as well as to give people something to talk about at taverns even if they won't ultimately participate. It's nice to see our own stories become acknowledged by other RPers, I feel it makes it a bit more realistic. Of course, if you spot rumors that are in conflict with your own view on lore or background, your character is free to not believe them. Here's a quick copy-paste of one of the FAQs, in case you missed it in your 2A.M.-driven zombieness. If that still doesn't answer your question, I will try be more specific. Posting rumors about things OTHER RPers did is fine, but you may probably want to OOCly inform the owner of those characters first, to see if they are okay with it becoming common knowledge and if they agree with the version of the facts that you are going to post (Which doesn't necessarily have to be true, as per the Chinese Whispers rule. An Au Ra suddenly appearing in a village's abandoned house where no one's ever seen one before may turn into "A DEMON! I saw the face of a demon peeking from that old, dusty house, I swear it!")
  5. Yeah, I actually hang out in Mor Dhona when RPing my two Au Ra refugees, and had expected it to become a hub for Au Ra RPers. Was kinda surprised to find no one else there >.< .... A group of auri sometimes roleplay at the refugee camp just outside of Ul'dah, in Central Thanalan, you can try that place. I've been trying to lure people into that spot, but they don't seem interested Unfortunately my characters have already ICly been rejected by Ul'dah, and invited to go to Mor Dhona (I'm in a group that RPs the MSQ), so as per instructions they live there in change of work to help build and expand the hamlet. Maybe I'll go there once they are free from their debt to the Toll. As of now, they're pretty much forced to stay there and work until they've paid off.
  6. Yeah, I actually hang out in Mor Dhona when RPing my two Au Ra refugees, and had expected it to become a hub for Au Ra RPers. Was kinda surprised to find no one else there >.< ....
  7. >_>; .... That's Clive Stark, one of the alts I RP the MSQ with.
  8. And done: here's the link http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=12447 If someone could sticky it, that'd be adorbs
  9. Server: Balmung Location: La Noscea / Thanalan regions. Who may mention this: Anyone. Rumor: It appears there have been a good dealing of disappearances and kidnappings among the homeless and refugees. ----------------------------------- Server: Balmung Location: Anywhere. Who may mention this: People dabbling in black marketing, law enforcement. Rumor: There seem to be a serial killer wandering in Eorzea. Its victims always seem to be black marketeers, slave traders in particular. The slaves are always taken, too. People think it may be the doing of beastmen seeking sacrificial victims for their Primals to thrall.
  10. Hello all, Let me give you a quick rundown of how this thread works: The purpose of Rumors in the Air is to gather all those things that, true or not, are spoken of by the people of-and-from a general area and that we feel people should acknowledge even if not directly involved in it. Similar to the Lantern's articles, these rumors differ in a few things, being: - They are relatively short bits of information. - They don't have to be necessarily true or acknowledged to be true. - They are accessible even to illiterate individuals who don't have someone that can read a newspaper to them. Why make this? Most of all, I feel it'd be a great way to involve others in personal plots that may otherwise go unknown or unheard of by the majority of people, unless they are directly involved. Secondly (and for some, most importantly), to give RPers something to talk about at taverns other than the usual "How are you?" "What are you doing here?" and weather talk. So with that being settled, here is a couple rules: 1. Rumors should not contain specific names. If I say "Valeria was killed", referring to an alt of mine, many will be like "And who is Valeria?" and shrug it off. Exactly. But if I turn that into "A Maelstrom officer was found dead in her office last week!", there we have a good thing that people could talk about. Lominsans could be concerned, and other Maelstrom officers would be wary. Nobody knows Valeria, but everyone knows what a Maelstrom officer is. There can be exceptions in the case of VIPs. Some characters are bound to be popular in some areas. In this case, if I posted "Valeria is dead", but changed the location of my rumor from "Limsa Lominsa" to "Mist Ward 7", where Valeria lived, then I could use the name, cause she'd be known from the majority of the people in that neighborhood. At the same time however, my rumor will be harder to spread because to learn about it, other RPers would have to ICly visit the Ward 7 of the Mist, or meet someone from there. To make another quick example, if your rumor involves an alt of yours, but this alt is an important aristocrat, a super star, a Monetarist, you name it, which would legitly be known in the whole city the rumor is located on, then by all means you can name them. (example: It appears Eltanin Sellecerre, the famous aristocrat and philantropist of Limsa Lominsa, has been found dead in the outskirts of town.) 2. Don't use major NPCs. While I do RP the MSQ and do not mind to acknowledge that a certain major NPC may be dead or have been arrested (because the MSQ decided so), I know other RPers may prefer to not acknowledge it. For this reason, we should avoid rumors that involve those NPCs. 3. In the case of a certain area getting damaged/destroyed, don't use areas that are accessible in-game. It's fine and dandy if you want to spread the rumor that a part of the Twelveswood has been arsoned and burned and that this has triggered the Greenwrath on all those who enter that area, but make it an "uncharted" area of the forest. You can't come and post that now everyone who visits the Urthr's Gift will be killed by the spirits of the forest because of your rumor. Likewise, if I want to spread the rumor that a part of Limsa Lominsa has been struck by the firing cannons of a rebellious pirate crew, I will say it was in the outskirts of town, and not that the Drowning Wench was turned into a pile of dust. And no, you can't nuke the Gold Saucer. 4. Don't delete the rumor. Unless your rumor is so off the loop/against the rules that you HAVE to remove it, don't delete the previous rumors, no matter how old they get. If the rumor you once posted becomes no longer valid (It appears Valeria was not dead after all, she ran away with her Au Ra lover), strike the original rumor but leave it there, so that people may still have conversations like "Do you remember when people thought that Maelstrom officer had been murdered?". -------------------------- FAQ What rumors can I post? Rumors that are strictly related to your own character (and thus wouldn't be heard of from people that didn't ICly know you) should be kept to your wiki, but of course if you don't make names you can post it here. If your character is a merchant and he gets attacked by beastmen, go ahead and say "It seems beastmen have been getting more and more aggressive. Another merchant's haul was stolen the other day in Thanalan!". The purpose should be to involve others into your side-plots while at the same time not making the rumors all about yourself. If someone is interested to learn WHO is the merchant who got attacked by the beastmen (sellsword seeking for hire as bodyguards, perhaps?), then they should privately contact you and figure out how their character may learn about your merchant's identity and find him. "Well yeah, then I can just post all my personal rumors by turning them nameless!" Not exactly. When deciding what to post, simply ask yourself: would people in this area actually talk about this? Were there enough witnesses? Was it enough of a big deal? Nobody will likely talk about "hey, it seems a chick got sexually harassed at the Quicksand and threw a glass of ale in the face of that rude Lalafell!", because that happens all the time there. But if a famous singer slips off during her performance on the stage, or an unpredictable underdog wins at the Grindstone? The locals may very certainly laugh/talk about it for a little while. So how do I acknowledge the rumor IC? Simply visiting the location of the rumor ICly gives you permission to have heard of it. Or you can even RP an NPC coming FROM that location meeting you and mentioning that rumor. Or you can set up an RP with another player who comes from there, too. There is no situation that says you may be excluded from hearing a rumor unless ... well... you are forbidden from leaving your house, talking to anyone, and reading letters. In that case, I think it is time to face your parents and make them understand you can't be kept into that golden cage anymore! How long should a rumor last? It depends. You shouldn't costantly repost the same rumor over and over to remind people that "the illness of the aldgoats is still going on!", but at the same time if it's not heard of anymore for a while, people may stop talking about it. It's how gossip works, after all. So perhaps post new details about the rumor every now and then, or simply let it die by no longer post about it. So what to do if a rumor particularly interests me? I realize there could be people who RP reporters, law enforcement, or super curious people out there, and who upon hearing a rumor may decide to delve further and learn more about it, like names of people involved, possible suspects, or what kind of illness exactly caused so many aldgoats in Thanalan to die. This is great and all of course! In this case, contact the poster of the rumor via PM or in-game tells to see where your character should go or talk to to learn more. This is how you get hooked for others' plots, and what this thread should be used for as a tool. What if the nature of the rumor changes? Have you ever played Chinese Whispers as kids? Depending on who hears them and how they hear them, people may change or twist the nature of a rumor. Not everyone may know the same thing about a certain topic. So hadn't that Maelstrom Officer been killed by a lovecrushed Yellow Jacket? Huh? I thought she had been poisoned by a clawed fiend of unknown nature! And so on. This may occur both in-game or on the rumors-board, and just as every other rumor, your character is free to believe it or not. The general idea is that only the original poster of the rumor can twist it, but arrangements can be made via PMs or in-game, I suppose. Whichever way, if you see someone posted twisted version of a rumor you threw and somehow find it unacceptable, contact them and see how to balance it out. Still be considerate that, just as in Chinese Whispers, rumors can be subject to changes; at the same time, be considerate of the original poster of a rumor and don't turn their rumor upside down into something that goes beyond decency (the Maelstrom Officer was found dead with a harpoon up her butt, I heard!). It's fine if your OWN character thinks that, but in this thread you are posting things that a whole community will acknowledge (depending on the Location of your rumor. If you say all of Limsa Lominsa thinks Valeria died with a harpoon up her butt, I may be just a tad bit irritated). Just WHY? It's not only a good way to lure attention to certain facts that you have been roleplaying, but also a way to ICly promote events, too ("The ABC Manor's wench has finally found a bachelor! People in the Goblet are already talking about an upcoming engagement party!"). I'll be updating this with new FAQs if more questions should arise, but until then please refer to the Rumors in the Air Discussion Thread for further inquires. Post your OOC commentary there, as this thread should remain strictly IC, thank you! And here's a quick template, courtesy of UM!
  11. All right, I have renamed this thread to be used for discussion should further questions arise regarding the rumors that will be posted in the actual thread, so to keep that one strictly IC and clean of OOC commentary. I will also make that thread stickly for Balmung rumors. RPers from other servers are welcome to make their own, though!
  12. I just wanted to know where to make it. It's an IC thread, but neither Town Square nor Tomberry's Lantern seem areas it'd be put in. If not given other directions, I'll put it in Town Square and see if a mod sticks it or moves it elsewhere, I guess.
  13. As names are not made, I think it'd be hard for rumors to be used for harassment. Even if someone spread the rumor that "It seems there is a serial killer aiming at conjurers all over Gridania", I don't think this would be a form of harassment. Just something for them conjurers/gridanians/wood wailers etc. RPers to talk about, and maybe RP on. I honestly don't see how it could be used as an harassment. They're never personal.
  14. I'm not telling you to do anything. I can't. I'm asking you questions regarding your approach here. Okay, give me a bit to try and address them, then. I am not comparing Eorzea to the third world, I was merely saying that education is considered a privilege even where illiteracy is fairly uncommon, you are privileged if you can read. I think for example that Garlemald is fairly literate, as is Sharlayan. Eorzea is clearly not in a first world environment, it is still in development compared to some other countries (hence, they can't be "first", and there's also internal conflicts going on, which are often counted in when determining the position of a nation, or group of nations, in the world ranking. I'd put it in the second world setting, which is equiparable to Russia of the modern days). Regarding faith, maybe there is not discord among different believers of the Twelve.. this is more treated as Greece's pantheon of the Gods, where one will preach a deity more than the other depending on his trade or status. But we should not forget that we just received a huge batch of RPers that do not preach the Twelve (the Au Ra), and there's also the Garleans. My character, Clive, is an Ala Mhigan, grown in the invaded city. He was beated hard to drop his worshiping of the Twelve, so much that he now sides with the Garleans' point of view on religion (I think they are atheists?). Also, I do not think all trades in Eorzea accept pretty much anyone. There can be cases of frowned upon communities undertaking certain jobs. 2.1 Spoilers At the archer's guild you are also dissed initially for not being fit the class. The archery questline in general is all about cultural traditions on bowsmanship between the Keepers of the Moon and the ... whatever clan that Elezen was. So yes, there are examples of discrimination on trades, as well.
  15. Nobody's talking about earth, though. We can't measure this world's societal structure by earth standards. They're not even at the same developmental stage as our third world countries. Okay, you don't have to participate and I respect your view, as Evelyn Beatrice Hall would say: «I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it» I'd kindly ask that you do the same and not tell me to just "drop it". I'll leave the rest in the hands of the mods. I am content with having read even just one bit of information about one's character status in society (thank you Kellach) and polite feedback on how to improve the questions (thank you Vodka). My mind is at peace.
  16. Done, no question removed. These are the questions I personally answered as Jet'a. True, most of Eorzeans are illiterate, and that is why an education (or owning books) is a privilege and adds a point. I think that's the point of the question. In the third world, the 98% of population is illiterate (1 out of 5 people on Earth, and Eorzea is not Hydaelyn), so yes, even on Earth being literate is a privilege. Also regarding wealth, I'll say what I've stated in the gil thread. The gil we make with in-game mechanics, and the prices in the Market Board (or in housing, since those prices depend on the Market Board prices) are OOC. I always look at the price of food ingredients to determine the true value of gil, and use it to picture how much my character would actually own. I think only those born and raised by nobles in Ul'dah can seriously claim to have millions, personally.
  17. All right, if there is interest I'll take the time and rewrite the questions in the way I interpreted them for my characters. I had just put the original questions there because I wanted others to be free to choose their own interpretation, but I feel this is being an issue, so I'll work on it. Stand by~
  18. I honestly find it odd that we see all kinds of "your characters' fears" "what your characters likes" "your characters' A-B-C-etc." and that privilege instead is a no-no topic. Privilege is something that exists in Eorzea as well, and I think refusing to acknowledge it is a bit off. We're trying to portrait the real lives of fictional characters here, so it's inevitable that even privileges problems will come out. Maybe you simply haven't seen it brought up into your RP yet, but this is not a reason to not think through about your character's background and see if he/she was bullied or discriminated in the past or has grown into a difficult environment. It's a part of life. Maybe don't post it if you want, but I recommend to everyone to give it a little insight for their character, I'm sure it'd end up explaining/enriching some of his/her background, behavior, or point of view in society. For what it's worth, I scored 18 on Jet'a's questions, and I was able to convert every question in an Eorzean aspect without much struggle.
  19. As I said, some things need to be adapted. In this case, the United States would be Eorzea, since these questions were made specifically for the US citizens, I could see foreign people in Eorzea having some forms of discrimination (as per the reaction-to-Au Ra-invasion thread). But okay, I thought it'd be an interesting view on the RP aspect. Please close the thread if you feel it's too uncomfortable of a topic. I can always keep this among my friends.
  20. Taking inspiration from the "Privilege Walk" (see a demonstration video here): Instead of steps, let's give our characters points. Add one point for every "step forward", and subtract one point for every "step back". Try to keep this strictly related to your character and not to your real self, so to avoid any political discussion (which would put this thread in Off-Topic, instead of RP-related stuff). Obviously, try to adapt the questions to the in-game enivornment. "United States" would be "Eorzea", "college" would be "high education" from a private teacher your parents would hire, etc. For the sake of most I've taken the time and re-edited the questions to better adapt them to the in-game environment. Looking forward to hear your scores, I'll be doing my own for my characters soon, too! Questions: * If your parents worked nights and weekends to support your family, take one step back. * If you are able to move through the world without fear of sexual assault, take one step forward. * If you can show affection for your romantic partner in public without fear of ridicule or violence, take one step forward. (Think of inter-racial couples, rare by lore, living areas where same-race couples are the norm) * If you have ever been diagnosed as having a physical or mental illness/disability, take one step back. * If the primary language spoken in your household growing up was not Eorzean, take one step back. * If you came from a supportive family environment take one step forward. * If you have ever tried to change your speech or mannerisms to gain credibility, take one step back. * If you can go anywhere in the country, and easily find the kinds of products (clothes, ingredients, face paint) that are most used in your ethnic community, take one step forward. * If you were embarrassed about your clothes or house while growing up, take one step back. * If you can make mistakes and not have people attribute your behavior to flaws in your racial/gender group, take one step forward. * If you can legally marry the person you love, regardless of where you live, take one step forward. (This question regards mostly Seekers of the Sun in a tribal society) * If you were born in one of the main City-States (Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, Ul'dah, Ishgard), take one step forward. * If you or your parents have ever gone through a divorce, take one step back. * If you felt like you had adequate access to enough food growing up, take one step forward. * If you are reasonably sure you would be hired for a job based on your ability and qualifications, take one step forward. (Think of lower-classes Ishgardians very rarely being allowed to take position in higher ranks of the army, etc.) * If you would never think twice about calling the police when trouble occurs, take one step forward. (Think of the Brass Blades, think of the Will of the Elementals) * If you can see a doctor whenever you feel the need, take one step forward. * If you feel comfortable being emotionally expressive/open, take one step forward. * If you have ever been the only person of your race/gender/socio-economic status/ sexual orientation in a classroom or workplace setting, please take one step back. * If you took out loans for your education take one step backward. (If you had to rely on someone else to pay your education for you, in general) * If you get time off for your religious holidays, take one step forward. * If you had a job during your education and professional formation years, take one step back. (Or if you had to give up education to work as a child, too) * If you feel comfortable walking home alone at night, take one step forward. * If you have ever traveled outside the Eorzea (for leisure, or for work), take one step forward. * If you have ever felt like there was NOT adequate or accurate representation of your racial group, sexual orientation group, gender group, and/or disability group in the traditions and mannerisms of Eorzea, take one step back. (Think of stereotypes, the disapproval of certain stereotypes, being stared at for being a Miqo'te dragoon, being taken as a whore for being a Nuhn, etc.) * If you feel confident that your parents would be able to financially help/support you if you were going through a financial hardship, take one step forward. * If you have ever been bullied or made fun of based on something that you can’t change, take one step back. * If there were more than 50 books in your house growing up, take one step forward. * If you were able to study the culture or the history of your ancestors while being educated in Eorzea take one step forward. (Probably not a bunch of Garlean traditions books in Eorzea, etc.) * If your parents or guardians received higher education, take one step forward. * If you ever went on a family vacation (aka, being able to travel just for leisure), take one step forward. * If you can buy new clothes or go out to dinner when you want to, take one step forward. * If you were ever offered a job because of your association with a friend or family member, take one step forward. * If one of your parents was ever laid off or unemployed not by choice, take one step back. (Maybe adventurers cannot be fired, but they can get hurt and force to retire. Also, not everyone is a fighter for a living. In fact, I believe the majority of the population is not able to fight, even though the playerbase is. ICly there'd be more common citizens than there are adventurers/soldiers etc.) * If you were ever uncomfortable about a joke or a statement you overheard related to your race (them Miq-hores), ethnicity (damnable Duskwights), gender, appearance, or sexual orientation but felt unsafe to confront the situation, take one step back.
  21. Still an ant that didn't sink down on its first launch >_>....! Don't diss on the oldies!
  22. I think I responded to most of these questions in my previous post, but I'll try give a little clearer info on what I'm picturing: These are supposed to be rumors about happenings, general people (no names, unless they are popular ("I heard General Raubhan is in prison!") among the people in the area the rumor is spreading on. If your character is popular in your neighborhood and something happens to them, you can make a rumor and indicate at its top that this rumor can be heard upon visiting The Goblet, Ward X, for example. In my previous posts I made the example of two rumors that I think would be heard across La Noscea and Thanalan, but as you can see they do not make specific names, since no one of the people involved are that well known. There is no need for your character to know who the rumor is coming from. Simply visiting the area of the rumor grants you permission to have heard of the rumor (or if you met another RPer/NPC who comes from that area). You are also free to not believe the rumor. The rumor lasts until you no longer hear of it. This can be done by either posting that "there have been no more hearings of X rumor in a long time", or simply by not acknowledging it anymore because too much time has passed since you last heard of it. Obviously people would not be forced to browse through the whole threat to be up to date with all the rumors, but I also don't want to tell an RPer who DID do that that the rumors he knows of are no longer valid. Simply put, posters should be responsible of the rumors they post, and if the rumor's status changes, they should modify its text or strike it if they simply want the rumor to no longer be heard of. I do not recommend DELETING the rumor completely, at least that way we're always allowed to have conversations like "Do you remember back when there was that rumor about a new disease plaguing the aldgoats in Drybone?". Unlike the Balmung Bulleting Board, the rumors directory should be strictly IC knowledge, and whoever is able to travel to the areas where the rumors are spread (or, again, talk to an RPer or NPC who does) should be legitimated to acknowledge the rumor. EDIT: I imagine that rumors related to personal characters can be posted, but names should be avoided (unless, again, they're characters supposed to be popular: famous bards, heroes, war veterans, influent nobles etc.). I think this would be interesting because, if instead of the rumor "Valeria Idavoll was killed in Limsa Lominsa" I posted "It appears a Maelstrom officer was murdered in the outskirts of Limsa Lominsa", this would not be a special spotlight on my character, but instead give all the Maelstrom RPers out there an opportunity to hook to the event, make them worry, and wary of strangers. I hope this helps.
  23. Regarding that, would it be possible to implement this idea? http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=12359 Or if not, just tell me in which section I should make such thread, thanks! :bouncy:
  24. Remember that request to Yoshi-P to allow us to spawn chairs wherever in-game? Looks like Matsui just gifted us FFXI player with just that~ The /sitchair text command has been added. This command enables players to lean their backs against the chair. Entering the command while seated will cause the player to stand up. Subcommand 1/Blank Wooden Stool 1 Imperial Chair 2 Decorative Chair 3 Ornate Stool 4 Refined Chair on Sit on the designated chair off Stand up Considering that the ability to sit down was what brought me to FFXIV in the first place, I can't help but look at my FFXI account now and see it stare at me like:
