Illira Posted September 28, 2013 Share #29 Posted September 28, 2013 I've had many animals and pets throughout my life, as I grew up on a farm. But as now I only have one, though I don't know that I would call her a pet as much as a partner. My horse Jaima and I used to compete very intensively, but 10 years later, we primarily trail ride and do dressage. In her fancy fly bonnet! All tacked up and ready to go! Rolling in the snow! All warm in her blanket. And finally... All sandy! Jaima loves to roll. Almost a little too much... 1 Link to comment
Nako Vesh Posted September 28, 2013 Share #30 Posted September 28, 2013 Aw, Theodric, your Cersei is so cute! I just adore Maine Coons. They're this perfect mix of kitten and puppy in behavior. I have a a Maine Coon mix, myself. His name is Norton! Here we try to do Catbeard and fail at it: Prince of the box: Protecting me from annoying boyfriends while I sleep: 1 Link to comment
Belmont Posted September 28, 2013 Share #31 Posted September 28, 2013 This was my dog Spike. He was a Pit Bull/Pomeranian/York Terrier Mix (Awesome combo, made him look like a kind of bear cub.) Happeh Faic! Don't stick your tongue out at me! Mmm, sunlight! I say was, because he actually passed away last August, but I still like to immortalize him by showing other people his adorableness. Now I'm ready to love a new dog, which I'm hoping to get a husky around New Years. Naturally, people will see pictures of her when I get her. (I also like showing off because well...it's such a unique combination. Like, neighborhood of 70+ dogs and only one of him.) 1 Link to comment

Gharen Posted September 28, 2013 Share #35 Posted September 28, 2013 This is Abby, she likes to sleep on my shoulders while I play. Or Curl up in my lap She's also pretty fond of the window next to my computer. Or chilling on my brother's head whilst he sleeps. Edit: Adding a couple more of our family dog Buck who is a wolf hybrid. He's a big sweet heart and he howls at the train that passes through town. And one more of Nevada Our grey wolf mix He was born and raised by someone on an Indian Reservation in Nevada, but when his owner passed he was given to relatives here in Idaho. He either escaped or was let go, but when rescued, his new owners didnt want him back. With a phone call we were asked if we could take him or he would have to be put down. My father picked him up and he was skin and bones. His Given name Kanuaa or Nevada to us, was such a beautiful animal and fit in with the rest of our family. We had him for 5 great years. We lost Nevada and our other dog Baby in 2011. Nevada was 16 yrs and Baby was 15. Our only dog now is Buck and he usually only howled at the train, but after the others passed he would cry, such a sad lonely cry, it was heartbreaking. He is now our 120 lb lap dog. 1 Link to comment
Fates Skein Posted September 29, 2013 Share #36 Posted September 29, 2013 YAY PETS! >.> Here are my two: This is Hiro. Hiro is an 8-9 yr old Seal Point Siamese that a vet tech classmate found dying under a bush 4 years ago- he'd been attacked by a coyote. I took him from her because her cat wouldn't tolerate him. He's...ridiculous and silly and he makes my life so much brighter. And this is his 'brother' Dexter. Named for Dexter's Lab...only belatedly to realize the -other- Dexter show. >.< This is the day we took him home at 12 weeks. Dexter is (according to a DNA test) a rottweiler, Jack Russel terrier, flat-coated retriever mix. His actions, however, suggest he's got some border collie in him too. - He goes into the down position and stalks in play, like a herding breed. This is him at about 6 months. Last one! He turns 2 December 25th. 1 Link to comment

LiadansWhisper Posted October 6, 2013 Share #38 Posted October 6, 2013 I have a dog and a cat. This is Bogart, our half-Rottweiler, half Pit Bull. He's the sweetest dog we've ever had. These pictures were taken of him about three years ago. He's much larger now, just under 100lbs. And this is my kitty, Ginny. I'm not sure how old these pictures are: 1 Link to comment

I wish I had a picture of mine! I love Pits, though mine is derpy--a LOT >.> It's such a pity they have such a bad reputation. Though, thinking about it, each 'generation' of people/society (so to speak) have had their 'vicious attack dog' sort of. Rottweilers, Dobermans, Pits, etc. Link to comment

Though, thinking about it, each 'generation' of people/society (so to speak) have had their 'vicious attack dog' sort of. Rottweilers, Dobermans, Pits, etc. I have been around dogs of all varieties - Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Shih Tzus, Poodles (big and small), Setters, Malamutes, Malanoids (Belgian and German), etc. The only dog that has ever attacked me was a Cocker Spaniel when I was 5 years old. lol With that said, this is a list of the things my incredibly terrifying dog eats: Carrots Zucchini Apples Corn Cobs (which we don't let him have, but omg he triiiiiiies to get them) Lentils Rice Cheeze Its Blueberries Strawberries Celery Pizza (of several varieties, to the point that we have to crate him when we have pizza out because he won't stop begging) Potatos Sweet Potatos There's more, but I can't remember Link to comment
Dravus Posted October 6, 2013 Share #41 Posted October 6, 2013 I have to be very careful when eating around my Maine Coon since she has a habit of sneaking up behind me in an attempt to steal food from my plate. It doesn't even matter what I'm eating - she'll go for pasta and bread just as often as chicken or fish. Link to comment

Maril Posted December 24, 2013 Share #49 Posted December 24, 2013 Does old pets count? I very unfortunately do not have my cat anymore, since the landlord was a meanypants and changed the rules about having pets. She was an awesome cat who thought she was a dog, she'd retrieve her ball if you thew it and drop it in front of you, being like "Why did you do that you stupid hoomans. Also do it again please?" and when she was tired she would sleep in the gap between my monitor and keyboard for super convenient cuddles. Link to comment
