  1. Have you not seen the number of Miqo'te men out there?
  2. because the roleplay in and of itself would be different. Taking Kale as an example. If he had been from Ishgard, he would most likely have been an Elezen/midlander, Xenophobic, maybe a dragoon (little d). That changes the way that the character would interact with others, beyond just his base personality.
  3. Nako is between a 3 and 4, dependant on who he is with.

  5. clio can be your suuper secret partner als inserted in a nearby enemy unit for close contact but not too close to be suspicious o3o Of course, we do all the real work behind the scenes and that Snake gets all the glory!!! *shakes fist!* SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE Metal Gear Eorzea, coming to a PC near you!
  6. I guess I fall into the category of irregular race/nationality combinations. As a Keeper, most of whom are located within the Shroud, I decided to come from Thanalan. Primarily because I prefered the Keeper Lore, and given I started as a THM, I just went with that.
  7. Nako would probably set them to work like he did Kurt. I mean what kid doesnt want to get paid to go spy on someone?
  8. The glamour system from Diablo 3. Once you had the unique item in your possession, it was stored and you could then apply the looks of it. it would save me sooooo much inventory space. One retainer is full of just dungeon sets.
  9. I just want to echo the sentiments of the fact that it looks like there are plenty of still green area's and just seems to be the highlands that got affected by the permanent winter. Given Coerthas was an Alpine region, they are most likely growing their own foods such as gourds, potatoes, carrots etc. Foods that survive in a relatively harsh climate. that as well as the meat, and most likely imported grains means that there is nothing to suggest that they are starving.
  10. Character Name: Nako'li Chalahko Wiki link/short description: linkage Have you completed the MSQ up until end of 2.55: Yes My character should be anonymous: Either works Character Name: Memevachi Mimivachi Wiki link/short description: A young, curious lalafellan male, who was raised by goblins. Has a knack for engineering and goldsmithing. Have you completed the MSQ up until end of 2.55: Yes My character should be anonymous: Either works
  11. Chances are you you will need at least one tank class leveled a bit to unlock drk and a healer for ast. And tanking at 30 is hardly a challenge so shouldnt be that hard to pick up.
  12. Another thought. A /visor for goggles/glasses so I can have them raised . Ala Cid.
  13. Nako's built up too much of a tolerance to it, from trying to drink himself to unconciousness for the last 20ish years....
  14. just a note that you posted this in the Balmung section
  15. If I went there, Nako would probably see how awkward I was and take me under his wing... putting me to work. Of course for a half hour break every week.... If he came here, he would likely be arrested for killing someone for touching his tail before we could meet.... For Memevachi, either way he would be talking my ears off over this or that
  16. Best way to look at it is likely the policies in europe prior to the Crusades. The first banking institution was the order of Templars. Pilgrims would deposit their money at a location operated by them prior to their pilgrimage, and would receive a note that would enable them to withdraw that sum from a location at the other end when they had arrived. All paper money is, is an example of that. It is a promisary note that the owner signs. 'I promise to pay the bearer of this note a sum equal to X currency.' This started between merchants for larger sums of money and started being traded themselves, rather than redeemed, though someone could indeed redeem it.
  17. I doubt there will be a Shiva Egi yet. They may add one in 4.0 or even just do it as an optional reskin of one of the others. but I doubt they will change their formula of job quest every 5 levels, or add a second level 50 one. I don't think that once you buy Heavensward you can already level to 60, otherwise the quests between 2.0 and 3.0 would be too easy. I think there will be something similar to the Limit Break quests from FFXI. So this is how I think new job quests will be: - Level 50 quest, requires you to have completed 2.55 MSQ. Unlocks new skill and allows you to level to 60. - Level 55 quest, unlocks new skill. - Level 60 quest, unlocks new skill and (probably) gives you AF2. The gate to get into the 3.0 content (i.e. level 60) is the MSQ. They don't need to tie it behind a Job Quest as well.

  19. some people join MMO's after the second or third expansion. Should people just not rp the events of those expansions, on the off chance that their RP partner is one of those people? When the majority of a player base is already at the cusp, and they give a grace period, that should be enough. Yes, it can be annoying, but to ask everyone to cater to your own sense of progression when it is in the minority is more insulting than the majority refusing to.
  20. The one chamge I would make effects all classes/jobs. Make the effect happen at the button press... not when the animation finishes.... if I need hallowed ground/benediction I need it /now/ not in the near future...
